En los últimos meses venimos recibiendo noticias de los ataques del estado turco contra la población kurda de Bakur [Norte de Kurdistán, perteneciente al estado turco]. Estos ataques han ido aumentando hasta estar ahora en la práctica, en guerra abierta, con barrios enteros sitiados por el ejército. Las informaciones de los medios de comunicación están siendo bastante confusas al respecto y Erdogan está aprovechando la "crisis de los refugiados" para tener una posición de fuerza ante sus aliados occidentales. The immense catastrophe that struck Turkey in the streets of Ankara, the capital city, on 10 October, when two bombs exploded in the midst of a thronging crowd of what would possibly turn out to be hundreds of thousands of people, leading to the death of an indefinite number of people, in any case exceeding one hundred, and the wounding of hundreds, some still under the risk of death, is a sharp reminder, if any were needed, that this is a country undergoing a severe political crisis. The tragic loss of life, ranging from a nine-year old boy to a seventy-year old woman and involving the deaths of a very high number of young people, has left the working-class movement, the broad left, the community of Alevis, the minority religious denomination in Turkey, and the Kurdish people, all of whom were involved in the peace demonstration that was attacked, in profound grief and mourning. It is cause for consolation, however, to witness the fact that the main aim of this hideous attack has been thwarted since, despite the grief, the masses have not been intimidated and have come out in militant mood both to protest and to bury their dead. In unusually precipitated fashion, the government has claimed to have carried out an investigation on what it purports to be a double suicide bombing. They point their fingers at the ill-famed ISIL (the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIS) and claim that this was an attack on the unity of Turkey (why those who target the unity of the country have for decades now attacked the demonstrations of the working-class or of the oppressed minorities and never a right-wing rally remains a mystery!) ... read full story / add a comment

La città curda di Cizre, un insediamento con una popolazione di circa 150000 anime nella Turchia sud-orientale si trova per la seconda volta sotto assedio delle forze armate turche e delle cosiddette "forze operative speciali" della polizia, dopo che il precedente assedio era stato tolto per una tregua di due giorni. Oltre al coprifuoco ci sono tagli all'erogazione di elettricità e vige l'interruzione di tutti i mezzi di comunicazione, compresi i telefoni mobili ed Internet. Dopo il primo assedio è venuta fuori tutta l'evidenza del terribile dramma umano. Uccisi oltre 30 civili, di età compresa fra i 35 giorni di vita di un bambino ed i 75 anni di un anziano. Prima che l'assedio fosse tolto, fonti governative dichiaravano che le forze di sicurezza avevano ucciso più di una dozzina di combattenti del PKK, negando vittime civili. e Kurdish town of Cizre, a settlement with a population of approximately 150 thousand souls in Southeastern Turkey, is now under siege by the Turkish armed forces and the so-called “special operation force” of the police for a second time, after a previous one-week long siege was lifted for an interlude of two days. Around-the-clock curfew is accompanied by power cuts and the interruption of all means of communication including mobile telephones and the Internet. The evidence that came out when the first round of siege was lifted attests to a terrible human drama. Over 30 civilians are dead, ranging from a 35-day old infant to a 75-year old man. Before the siege was lifted, government sources claimed that security forces had killed more than a dozen fighters of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), the Kurdish guerrilla army, denying any civilian deaths. How the baby and the old man could have contributed to the fight of the PKK remains a mystery unexplored by government spokespeople after the facts have come to light. A press report in 1983 that a popular uprising in Upper Volta, a small and poor land-locked country in Western Africa had led to an obscure, but charismatic army officer becoming head of state was truly inspiring news for all those looking for some kind of breakthrough against imperialism in that part of the world. It had come after the depressing news that Margaret Thatcher's Britain had defeated Argentina in the Malvinas and Ronald Reagan's America had crushed Grenada, a clear message to the world that, on a moment's notice, imperialism would brutally crush anything that threatened its power. Los atentados y ataques en París han causado conmoción, por lo inesperado, por su brutalidad y por el número de víctimas. En los noticiarios han copado el contenido y han causado una gran reacción. La primera la veíamos ayer, muy interesante, por tratarse el periódico atacado Charlie Hebdo de una publicación satírica, con cientos de ilustraciones de distintos ilustradores de todo el mundo, condenando el ataque (ver interesante artículo a este respecto: “Yo NO soy Charlie” de José Antonio Gutiérrez Danton). Hoy en París con esa manifestación multitudinaria. Y mañana al parecer con otra a la que van a acudir incluso dignatarios de distintos países, incluido Rajoy. Francia está convulsionada, surcada por la confusión e invadida por los miedos (que casi siempre desembocan en comportamientos xenófobos), porque esta vez la guerra que tanto provocaron y alentaron sus gobernantes ya no alcanza para verla solamente en los televisores. Ahora las balas de un lado y del otro resuenan en las calles de París y sus alrededores, y como no podía ser de otra manera hay muertos. Algunos, como los colaboradores del periódico "Charlie Hebdo", masacrados en su lugar de trabajo. Otros, fusilados por la policía francesa, que en su afán de "encontrar culpables", militariza con más de 80 mil efectivos la capital y sus pueblos adyacentes. It was Herald Sun cartoonist Mark Knight who tipped me over the edge. To be fair, he wasn’t wholly responsible. If it wasn’t for all the lunacy that preceded him, I probably would have dismissed his cartoon as just another Herald Sun atrocity, more a piece of Murdoch-madness to be mocked rather than trigger for outrage. But context is everything. In questo giorno si è concordato, nel solco dei dialoghi di pace e del tavolo di negoziazioni di Havana, il cessate-il-fuoco bilaterale e definitivo tra il governo nazionale di Juan Manuel Santos e la insorgenza delle Forze Armate Rivoluzionarie della Colombia – Esercito del Popolo (FARC-EP). Per molt* colombiane e colombiani, si tratta di un desiderio che si avvera. Pur condividendo l’entusiasmo popolare, segnaliamo che questa ancora non è la fine della guerra e che resta un lungo cammino da percorrere verso l'ottenimento di cambiamenti sociali reali a beneficio dei lavoratori e delle lavoratrici,de i settori sociali e dei popoli. Ένας χρόνος έκλεισε σήμερα από την βομβιστική επίθεση στο Suruç στη Ν.Τουρκία στα σύνορα με το Kobane. Οι εκδηλώσεις μνήμης που είχαν προγραμματιστεί για το περασμένο Σαββάτο 16/07 ακυρώθηκαν, καθώς την προηγούμενη ημέρα η απόπειρα πραξικοπήματος στην Τουρκία συμπίεσε μεγάλης κλίμακας ιστορικά γεγονότα σε διάστημα λίγων ωρών. Όλες αυτές τις μέρες οι μόνοι που νιώθουν άνετα να κυκλοφορούν όλο το εικοσιτετράωρο μέσα στην πόλη είναι οι οπαδοί του κόμματος AKP και οργανωμένοι ή σκόρπιοι εθνικιστές ή φανατικοί ισλαμιστές που συμμετέχουν στην περιφρούρηση και την προστασία της πολύ- αμφιλεγόμενης τουρκικής “δημοκρατίας”. Να απαλλάξουμε την ανθρωπότητα από τη δολοφονική μηχανή των κρατών, των θρησκειών και του Κεφαλαίου. Να αναδείξουμε την τρυφερότητα της ελευθερίας και της αλληλεγγύης. Αυτή η απόπειρα πραξικοπήματος καθιστά αναγκαίο για μας να μην επιβραδύνουμε τον αγώνα ενάντια στο φασισμό του ΑΚΡ, αλλά για να τον ενισχύσουμε, έτσι ώστε το χάος και οι συγκρούσεις στην Τουρκία έρθουν σε ένα τέλος και μια νέα και δημοκρατική Τουρκία να αναδυθεί. ...δεν υπάρχει κανένας λόγος να πιστεύουμε ότι ένα στρατιωτικό πραξικόπημα θα σημάνει πρόοδο για τα λαϊκά στρώματα της Τουρκίας. Η αντικατάσταση μιας δικτατορίας με μια άλλη δικτατορία δεν σημαίνει ελευθερία για τους ανθρώπους. Οι στρατηγοί δεν μπορούν να μας δώσουν την ελευθερία. Μόνο οι αγώνες του λαού μπορούν να κερδίσουν την ελευθερία. Τη Δευτέρα 9/5 είχε προγραμματιστεί συναυλία της Ενάτης του Μπετόβεν από την Κρατική Ορχήστρα Θεσσαλονίκης στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής με αφορμή τη μέρα της Ευρώπης. Η Ελευθεριακή Πρωτοβουλία Θεσσαλονίκης μαζί με συντρόφους/ισσες πραγματοποίησε παρέμβαση με πανό και μοίρασμα κειμένων έξω από το Μέγαρο Μουσικής ως μια ελάχιστη προσπάθεια να καταδείξουμε την υποκρισία της Ευρώπης των αφεντικών, του σύγχρονου ολοκληρωτισμού. Η παρέμβαση βρήκε θετική ανταπόκριση από αρκετό κόσμο που πήγαινε να παρακολουθήσει τη συναυλία ενώ απολαυστικά ήταν τα βλέμματα μίσους αρκετών αστών και "μένουμε Ευρώπη" στη θέα του πανό. Πρέπει να οικοδομήσουμε ένα κίνημα της εργατικής τάξης, που να εκτείνεται πέρα από τα σύνορα και να μην αφήνει έδαφος στις καπιταλιστικές κυβερνήσεις που δεν έχουν καμία λύση για τα διεθνή προβλήματα, παρά μόνο τον πόλεμο. Πρέπει να οικοδομήσουμε την επανάσταση των εργατών και την ανατροπή του καπιταλισμού. Και μόνο τότε θα μπορέσουμε να οικοδομήσουμε έναν κόσμο ελευθερίας, ισότητας και αλληλεγγύης - έναν κόσμο σε ειρήνη. If we want peace, we must follow the example of the workers and worker-soldiers who ended WWI. We must build a working class movement which spans across frontiers and cuts the ground out from under the capitalist governments that have no solution for international problems but war. We must make a workers' revolution and overthrow capitalism. And only then will we be able to build a world of liberty, equality and solidarity – a world at peace. Συχνά αναφέρεται ότι κατά βάση η υποχρεωτική στράτευση, ανεξαρτήτως κράτους, νομιμοποιείται κοινωνικά από τις εκάστοτε κυρίαρχες ιδεολογίες, τις πολεμικές και θρησκευτικές ιδεοληψίες, την πολιτική και κρατική διαχείριση και τους εθνικισμούς. Αυτό που αναφέρεται λιγότερο συχνά είναι ότι όλα τα παραπάνω, και φυσικά η κοινωνική νομιμοποίηση της υποχρεωτικής στράτευσης, αποδυναμώνονται -αν δεν απονομιμοποιούνται- από τις κοινωνικές αντιστάσεις και τις αρνήσεις των καταπιεσμένων. I piani e le cospirazioni tra Turchia, Qatar ed il Governo Regionale Curdo (KRG in Iraq) contro la Rojava non hanno mai fine. Documenti messi a disposizione da Wikileaks di recente riguardano incontri ed accordi tra questi tre soggetti ed un incontro segreto tra Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi e Barzani, il capo del KRG, caso mai ci fossero stati dei dubbi. This article is about retaking the city of Mosul that has been under control of Isis since 09/06/2014. At the moment the Iraqi government is in talk with KRG and US forces about making plan to liberate it. In my opinion this will be one of the bloodiest battle that could happen in Iraq since 2003 after the invasion. I believe there is a hidden agenda, when Isis is defeated, it will try to run away. The liberator forces may push them to withdraw towards Jazeea in Rojava. So it is necessary for YPG/J and the Guerrillas to change their tactic.
