I recently visited Tokyo's amazing Mt. Takao (or "Takaosan" as everyone calls it) once again but this time with my friend Sharla and we went to see the kouyou (trees changing colors). It's just a short train ride out of Shinjuku on the Keio line (exit Takaosanguchi). If you're ever in Tokyo during November, this is the absolute best time to visit Takaosan to see the changing of the leaves Japan is so famous for. Adventures Climbing Mt. Takao (高尾山を登ったよ~)

THOUGHTS: 1. I recorded this video over the weekend, before the volcano in a nearby prefecture erupted. While Ryosuke and I climb mountains ALL the time, we weren't anywhere near that one, so no worries. 2. The deep voice holding the camera is Ryosuke's best friend from college. He's cool. 3. This is Mt. Takao. It's beautiful. I love it. We kind of try to climb it every month (or at least every other month), since it's not TOO bad of a hike and the trail is very natural. And for some reason Ryosuke likes to pack salad when we go hiking. So that happens. Tokyo's Amazing Mt. Takao - 高尾山

I recently visited Tokyo's amazing Mt. Takao (or "Takaosan" as everyone calls it) once again but this time with my friend Sharla and we went to see the kouyou (trees changing colors). It's just a short train ride out of Shinjuku on the Keio line (exit Takaosanguchi). If you're ever in Tokyo during November, this is the absolute best time to visit Takaosan to see the changing of the leaves Japan is so famous for. Adventures Climbing Mt. Takao (高尾山を登ったよ~)

THOUGHTS: 1. I recorded this video over the weekend, before the volcano in a nearby prefecture erupted. While Ryosuke and I climb mountains ALL the time, we weren't anywhere near that one, so no worries. 2. The deep voice holding the camera is Ryosuke's best friend from college. He's cool. 3. This is Mt. Takao. It's beautiful. I love it. We kind of try to climb it every month (or at least every other month), since it's not TOO bad of a hike and the trail is very natural. And for some reason Ryosuke likes to pack salad when we go hiking. So that happens. I recently visited Tokyo's amazing Mt. Takao (or "Takaosan" as everyone calls it) once again but this time with my friend Sharla and we went to see the kouyou (trees changing colors). It's just a short train ride out of Shinjuku on the Keio line (exit Takaosanguchi). If you're ever in Tokyo during November, this is the absolute best time to visit Takaosan to see the changing of the leaves Japan is so famous for. THOUGHTS: 1. I recorded this video over the weekend, before the volcano in a nearby prefecture erupted. While Ryosuke and I climb mountains ALL the time, we weren't anywhere near that one, so no worries. 2. The deep voice holding the camera is Ryosuke's best friend from college. He's cool. 3. This is Mt. Takao. It's beautiful. I love it. We kind of try to climb it every month (or at least every other month), since it's not TOO bad of a hike and the trail is very natural. And for some reason Ryosuke likes to pack salad when we go hiking. So that happens.
