Parfait
Parfait (/pɑːrˈfeɪ/; [paʁfɛ] from French meaning "perfect") is a kind of frozen dessert that dates to 1894.
France
In France, parfait refers to a frozen dessert made from a base of sugar syrup, egg, and cream. A parfait contains enough fat, sugar, alcohol, and/or, to a lesser extent, air to allow it to be made by stirring infrequently while freezing, making it possible to create in a home kitchen without specialist equipment. The fat, sugar, alcohol or air interferes with the formation of water crystals, which would otherwise give the ice cream an uncomfortable texture in the mouth. The formation of ice crystals is managed in the making of regular ice cream by agitating the ice cream constantly while it freezes or chemically by adding glycerol. Neither should be necessary when making a high-quality parfait.
United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, parfait refers to a very smooth meat paste (or pâté), usually made from liver (chicken or duck) and flavoured with liqueurs.
North America
In the United States, parfait refers to either the traditional French-style dessert or to a popular variant, the American parfait, made by layering parfait cream, ice cream, and/or flavored gelatins in a tall, clear glass, and topping the creation with whipped cream, fresh or canned fruit, and/or liqueurs.

Instrumental
An instrumental is a musical composition or recording without lyrics, or singing, although it might include some inarticulate vocal input; the music is primarily or exclusively produced by musical instruments.
In a song that is otherwise sung, a section not sung but played with instruments can be called an instrumental interlude. If the instruments are percussion instruments, the interlude can be called a percussion interlude. These interludes are a form of break in the song.
In popular music
In commercial popular music, instrumental tracks are sometimes renderings of a corresponding release that features vocals, but they may also be compositions originally conceived without vocals. An instrumental version of a song which otherwise features vocals is also known as a -1 (pronounced minus one).
The opposite of instrumental music is a cappella.
For genres in which a non-vocal song or interlude is conceived using electronic media, rather than with true musical instruments, the term instrumental is nonetheless used for it.

William et Katherine et leurs cinq enfants s'installent dans une ferme isolée en bordure d'une forêt, loin de toute civilisation. Nous sommes en 1630, en Nouvelle - Angleterre, et le couple en question est très porté sur la religion et les sermons, ce qui provoque l'animosité de leurs voisins à leur égard et les pousse à quitter la ville et à choisir de vivre reclus. Mais un jour, leur nouveau-né disparaît et leurs récoltes sont détruites sans raison apparente. Commence alors la discorde qui mènera tout un chacun à blâmer les autres pour le mauvais sort qui s'acharne sur la famille. Et si la forêt voisine y était pour quelque chose? Et si la fille aînée était envoûtée?
The Witch est un film d'horreur qui suggère beaucoup plus qu'il ne montre, et ça marche. Les cadrages serrés ménagent des effets de surprise d'une grande efficacité et l'interprétation des acteurs est d'autant plus réaliste qu'ils ne sont pas de grandes stars. Et il y a la forêt qui à elle seule mériterait peut-être un prix tant sa présence singulière assure aux spectateurs de The Witch les montées d'adrénaline dont ils sont demandeurs.
Réalisé par Robert Eggers dont c'est le premier long métrage, The Witch est donc interprété par Ralph Ineson vu dans Le Chasseur et la reine des glaces, puis Kate Dickie au physique parfait pour les rôles empreints d'étrangeté et qui tenait le rôle féminin principal dans Sauvages de Tom Geens. Et dans le personnage de la fille aînée de la famille, Anya Taylor-Joy qui depuis a fait une composition remarquable dans le film de Luke Scott Morgane.

À l’occasion de l’ouverture de la Galerie Thierry Bigaignon, le célèbre photographe américain Ralph Gibson présente une série inédite, Vertical Horizon, de douze photographies couleur et grand format, loin de ses célèbres photographies en noir et blanc.
Dix-sept ans après la rétrospective que lui a consacrée la Maison Européenne de la Photographie et cinq ans après sa dernière exposition à Paris, Ralph Gibson revient avec une sélection de douze photographies en couleur et totalement inédites. Connu avant tout pour ses clichés en noir et blanc contrastés, le célèbre photographe américain explore le champ de la couleur depuis l’arrivée du numérique.
À 77 ans, Ralph Gibson ne renonce pas à ce qui fait son identité de photographe. La nouvelle technologie prolonge intuitivement sa démarche entre abstraction et figuration. Plus que jamais, Ralph Gibson coupe au cordeau l’espace de sa photo et travaille sur les oppositions. De cette frontière entre lignes et volumes naît une tension forte, à l’intérieur-même du cadre, renforcée par le format « portrait ». Et Thierry Bigaignon d’ajouter :
« Les images de Ralph Gibson que nous allons présenter sont de véritables oxymores visuels et c’est d’ailleurs de ce concept qu’est né le titre de l’exposition Vertical Horizon ».
Gilles Mora, historien et critique d’art et spécialiste de la photographie américaine, a eu l’occasion de voir en avant-première la série de Ralph Gibson et ne tarit pas d’éloge sur cet artiste à la vision singulière :
« Ralph Gibson est sans nul doute le plus européen des photographes américains et parfait connaisseur de notre culture. Sa maîtrise dans la composition quasi graphique, voire abstraite, de l’image, ne l’a jamais mis à l’écart d’une sensualité qui est comme la marque de fabrique de ses photographies. Il est temps de redécouvrir Ralph Gibson. »
Cette exposition inaugurale revêt en outre un caractère hautement symbolique puisqu’elle aura lieu 41 ans jour pour jour après que la Galerie Agathe Gaillard a elle-même exposé le travail de Ralph Gibson pour sa toute première exposition, le 10 juin 1975. Agathe Gaillard sera d’ailleurs la marraine de cette exposition, événement majeur pour les collectionneurs, amateurs et passionnés de photographie.
