A copy of a 600-year-old map found in a second-hand book shop is the key to proving that the Chinese, not Christopher Columbus, were the first to discover the New World, a controversial British historian claims.

I used Excite Unlimited Motorsports at least five years ago to get my cars repaired and had a fantastic experience. They took care of me, they explained everything to me and charged a fair price for the work. So I was very happy and I've been taking all my cars there ever since. And some of my friends and neighbors' cars go there as well.
They've got people there like Ed who explain in detail everything that they found with your vehicle that needs repair work. They tell you they prioritize it for you, say this is important; this is something that you can put off, if you don't want to do it right now. And they keep very good records so that when you do that work, you come in a year later, they still now what they recommended.
I've recommended Excite Unlimited Motorsports to several friends and neighbors, just because they do very good work, they're very reasonable, they're also timely, they will come pick you up some times if you're near their shop, which is very nice, you can get a loaner vehicle, so it's very easy to have work done there as opposed to the dealerships and a lot of the other places around here that I could easily go to instead.

Chris Columbus (filmmaker)
Chris Joseph Columbus (born September 10, 1958) is an American filmmaker. Columbus is known for directing movies such as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Home Alone (1990) and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992) and for writing movies such as Gremlins (1984) and The Goonies (1985).
Home Alone received a British Comedy Award for Best Comedy Film. Columbus received an Academy Award nomination for producing The Help (2011).
Early life
Columbus was born in Spangler, Pennsylvania and raised in Champion, Ohio, the son of Mary Irene (née Puskar), a factory worker, and Alex Michael Columbus, an aluminum plant worker and coal miner. Columbus is of Italian and Czech descent. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Warren, Ohio and went on to study at New York University's film school at the Tisch School of the Arts, where he was a schoolmate of writer/director Charlie Kaufman and Alec Baldwin.

Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong is a 1995 book by sociologist James W. Loewen. It critically examines twelve American history textbooks and concludes that textbook authors propagate factually false, Eurocentric, and mythologized views of history. In Lies My Teacher Told Me, Loewen criticizes modern American history textbooks for containing incorrect information about people and events such as Christopher Columbus, the lies and inaccuracies in the history books regarding the dealings between the Europeans and the Native Americans, and their often deceptive and inaccurate teachings told about America's commerce in slavery. He further criticizes the texts for a tendency to avoid controversy and for their "bland" and simplistic style. He proposes that when American history textbooks elevate American historical figures to the status of heroes, they unintentionally give students the impression that these figures are superhumans who live in the irretrievable past. In other words, the history-as-myth method teaches students that America's greatest days have already passed. Loewen asserts that the muting of past clashes and tragedies makes history boring to students, especially groups excluded from the positive histories.

Conservative activist David Horowitz has criticized some of Loewen's assertions for their partiality and inaccuracy, in particular questioning Loewen's claims about the relationship between American Indians and Columbus.

Columbus wishes to start his western voyage as soon as possible, however, the Spanish Royal Family doesn't seem to consider it a priority, notwithstanding the promises that Queen Isabella had made. Columbus then returns to the monastery of Rebida, where he is reunited with Father Perez and his son Diego. Father Marchena introduces Columbus to a famous sailor by the name of Pinzon, and asks him how he feels about the Genoese sailor's project. Columbus next reveals to Father Marchena that he owns a very detailed chart of Toscanelli, a map which was thought to be secret of Portugal. Columbus believes that this map will play a great role in convincing the Queen of his project's legitimacy. Father Perez then sends a letter to the Queen, and after few days, Columbus is convoked by her. Columbus tells her about the importance of predicating the Gospel in the Indies. Columbus receives a convocation from the Queen. Happy with this, he then departs for Spain hoping to soon assemble a crew.
