Glad you once more made it to one of my reviews! First of all thank you for watching, I hope you enjoy!
Just a bit of information about this review:
During my last California vacation last september I got the chance to fly United Airlines domestic business class for the very first time. They offered a great deal and luckily one of those domestic flights was operated by a Boeing dreamliner, which in my opinion is one of the best looking and comfortable planes to fly these days. The good thing about a long haul aircraft on a domestic route is that you get the full business class experience, with all lie flat seats, great IFE and superb service. This isn't the case on their 737's..
United has a pretty decent business class and the FA's tried hard to make the flight as enjoyable as possible. Food was ok, nothing special but also not shabby or disgusting. There are minor things that could be better(check the video for that), but all in all I was very satisfied with the product. Unfortunately the flight time was only 3 hours, what a bummer :)

United Airlines Flight 232 was a DC-10 (registered N1819U) that on July 19, 1989 crash-landed in Sioux City, Iowa after suffering catastrophic failure of its tail-mounted engine, which led to the loss of all flight controls. The flight was en route from Stapleton International Airport in Denver, Colorado to O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. Of the 296 people on board, 111 died in the accident and 185 survived. Despite the deaths, the accident is considered a prime example of successful crew resource management due to the large number of survivors and the manner in which the flight crew handled the emergency and landed the airplane without conventional control. The flight crew became well known as a result of their actions, in particular the captain, Alfred C. Haynes, and a DC-10 instructor on board who offered his assistance, Dennis E. Fitch.

Alright everyone, here's the much-requested footage from my trip out to Roanoke this past April! I did this trip on United via Washington-Dulles. For the first leg, I rode a Trans States ERJ-145 from St. Louis to Dulles. I've taken this exact same flight in the past on my way to Norfolk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPYscaKS2vk). This time, I was treated to a view of some amazing cloud formations as we climbed out of St. Louis, and we landed from the North at Dulles. Come along with me on my first-ever trip to the west coast! My unique travel arrangements allowed me to do some very unusual things with the trip report. That's because my friend Dan was traveling with me, but started his journey from Newark, NJ. We connected to the same flight in San Fransisco. As a result, parts of his journey from EWR to SFO are included in the report (thanks for the footage, Dan!), including the most awesome part: Synchronized footage of his landing at SFO both from in the cabin (his footage) and from the terminal (my footage). Aside from all of that, there's plenty more to love:
-I got to fly on the Embraer E-175 - one of my favorite planes - all the way from St. Louis to San Fransisco. That's over 4.5 hours, making this one of the longest scheduled regional jet flights in the world. The E-175 is so awesome that I didn't get the slightest bit uncomfortable.
-I got to see SFO for the first time. It's a very nice facility even as a connecting passenger. Definitely one of United's better hubs.
-From SFO to BUR, I got to experience the CRJ-200 for the first time in many years. I'm still not a big fan. I much prefer the ERJ-145 and it's 1 x 2 seating arrangement, huge windows, etc. The 2 x 2 seating in the CRJ makes for very tight window seats with limited shoulder room, and the windows are small and low to the floor. Not a lot to love.
-BUR is a COOL airport. It hasn't changed much at all in decades (feels vintage, not dated), it's quiet, and it's easy to get in/out very quickly. Definitely would be my first choice if visiting the Los Angeles area again.

Alright everyone, here's the much-requested footage from my trip out to Roanoke this past April! I did this trip on United via Washington-Dulles. For the first leg, I rode a Trans States ERJ-145 from St. Louis to Dulles. I've taken this exact same flight in the past on my way to Norfolk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPYscaKS2vk). This time, I was treated to a view of some amazing cloud formations as we climbed out of St. Louis, and we landed from the North at Dulles. The real highlight of this video is the second leg of the trip. Originally scheduled to be on a 37-seat Bombardier Q200 turboprop, United swapped out the aircraft to a larger 50-seat Q300 about an hour before the flight. To make things even nicer, there were only 13 passengers onboard. Talk about an empty flight! Needless to say, I got a row to myself. I love catching rides on aircraft with propellors whenever possible, and a beautiful ride through the Virginia mountains onboard a turboprop was pretty cool. The trip ends in Roanoke, where I spent a few days with my good friend Dieselducy.
My flight back was on United via Chicago O'Hare.
