Many people have noticed that in the music video for his recent viral hit "PPAP (Pen Pineapple Apple Pen)". comedian Piko Taro is dressed identically to Admiral Borsalino aka Kizaru from the anime "One Piece" "One Piece" is my favorite TV show of all time and the song is catchy as hell, so I made an AMV mashing the two together.

Kunie Tanaka
Kunie Tanaka (田中 邦衛, Tanaka Kunie, born November 23, 1932) is a Japanese actor. He had his first notable role in 1960 as a thug in Akira Kurosawa's The Bad Sleep Well, and worked with the director again on Sanjuro. Tanaka is well known for his roles in Kinji Fukasaku's yakuza films, namely the Battles Without Honor and Humanity series. He also appeared in Masaki Kobayashi's Kwaidan.
He has been nominated for five Japanese Academy Awards, winning the Best Supporting Actor statuette for Gakko in 1993. He appeared as the lecherous Shinjiro Ishiyama, nicknamed Aodaishō, the antagonist of the hero, played by Yuzo Kayama, in all of the Wakadaishō series of films. The character Kizaru, from Eiichiro Oda's manga series One Piece, is modeled after Tanaka.

One Piece
One Piece (Japanese: ワンピース, Hepburn: Wan Pīsu) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 19, 1997, with the chapters collected into eighty tankōbon volumes to date. One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a funny young man whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his diverse crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the grand line in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as "One Piece" in order to become the next Pirate King.
The manga has been adapted into an original video animation (OVA) produced by Production I.G in 1998, and an anime series produced by Toei Animation, which began broadcasting in Japan in 1999 and has aired 728 episodes to date. Additionally, Toei has developed thirteen animated feature films, two OVAs, and five television specials. Several companies have developed various types of merchandising such as a trading card game, and a large number of video games. The manga series was licensed for an English language release in North America & the United Kingdom by Viz Media and in Australia by Madman Entertainment. The anime series was licensed by 4Kids Entertainment for an English-language release in North America, before the license was dropped and subsequently acquired by Funimation in 2007.

Kosuke Kindaichi
Kosuke Kindaichi (金田一 耕助, Kindaichi Kōsuke) is a famous fictional Japanese detective created by Seishi Yokomizo, a renowned mystery novelist. His first case, The Honjin Murder Case, a novel of locked room murder in an old family, which many people regard as one of the best Japanese detective novels, was published in 1946.
A profile of Kosuke appears at the end of the manga Case Closed Volume 6.
Hajime Kindaichi (金田一 一, Kindaichi Hajime), the main character of Kindaichi Case Files, is depicted as the grandson of Kosuke Kindaichi.
Works in translation
The Inugami Clan (1951) is the only one novel of Kindaichi series to have been translated into English.
Two other novels are available in French translation.

"Bibonare Showa" was set in the pre-1945 Showa era (1926 to 1945) known as the "Empire of Japan" under the reign of Showa Emperor Hirohito and was based on the book by author Yusuke Fukada. The story revolved around two real life events: The first was the successful long distance air flight made from Tokyo to London in 1937, known as "Kamikaze-go". The second, about Nejiko Suwa ( 諏訪根自子 ),born in 1920, and first made headlines in 1931, when The Asahi Newspaper reported: "A Violin Girl Prodigy Appears: The Little Girl From Mejiro". In this film young Japanese violinist Mariko Komuro ( 麻里子 小室 )played the role of the young Suwa in the early part of her life and career in Europe. Actor Frankie Verroca, speaking period Japanese for this TV Asahi Docudrama, was cast in the role of Mr. Skinner, an American Shell Oil Company Executive working in Japan. The Japanese star cast included Tanaka Kunie, Nagashima Toshiyuki, and Natsuki Yosuke. "Bibonare Showa" was set in the pre-1945 Showa era (1926 to 1945) known as the "Empire of Japan" under the reign of Showa Emperor Hirohito and was based on the book by author Yusuke Fukada. The story revolved around two real life events: The first was the successful long distance air flight made from Tokyo to London in 1937, known as "Kamikaze-go". "Bibonare Showa" was set in the pre-1945 Showa era (1926 to 1945) known as the "Empire of Japan" under the reign of Showa Emperor Hirohito and was based on the book by author Yusuke Fukada.
The story revolved around two real life events: The first was the successful long distance air flight made from Tokyo to London in 1937, known as "Kamikaze-go". The second, about Nejiko Suwa ( 諏訪根自子 ),born in 1920, and first made headlines in 1931, when The Asahi Newspaper reported: "A Violin Girl Prodigy Appears: The Little Girl From Mejiro". In this film young Japanese violinist Mariko Komuro ( 麻里子 小室 )played the role of the young Suwa in the early part of her life and career in Europe.

Actor Frankie Verroca, speaking period Japanese for this TV Asahi Docudrama, was cast in the role of Mr. Skinner, an American Shell Oil Company Executive working in Japan. When Japan surrendered at the end of the second World War, the US Supreme Commander was tasked with deciding the fate of Emperor Hirohito.
Tommy Lee Jones plays General Douglas MacArthur who charges Matthew Fox as General Fellers with determining if the Emperor should face trial for war crimes.
Actor Tommy Lee Jones says he is a fan of the General: "I admired MacArthur greatly for understanding what it would take to come out of the war with a democratic, industrial ally on the Pacific Rim, as opposed to a vanquished, dead enemy."
"If he had killed the emperor, society would have collapsed, the war would have gone on and on. The United States would not have been able to govern it from San Francisco," believes Lee Jones.
Fox agrees that the United States was right to not pursue prosecution charges against Hirohito.
"The role that the emperor plays to the Japanese people or certainly played in 1945 is something that I think is practically impossible for a Westerner to understand. And as much as even (Gen. Bonner) Fellers intellectually understands it, can't truly emotionally understand it as an American," says Fox.
Emperor is on a limited release across the United States and is expected to roll out across Europe from next month.
