U.S. Army Combat Engineer Training - Sapper Stakes 2015
U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard combat engineers came to Fort Chaffee, Ark. to compete in Sapper Stakes 2015. This year, 20 Sapper teams competed to earn the title of the best sapper team. Each team was made up of six Soldiers and a maximum of two alternates, competing in events that tested both their physical and mental prowess. On their first day, Soldiers rowed across a lake, pulled their Zodiac boat out, ran around a point to reinsert the boat and rowed back across. From there, they completed 500 burpies as a team, ran 2.15 miles and finally ruck 4.1 miles. In the afternoon, teams participated in four other events: demolitions inert verifications, requiring Soldiers to prove their knowledge of setting charges; knot tying, which required teams to tie six out of eight possible knots; knowledge verification, requiring Soldiers to work as a team to answer a variety of questions in 30 minutes; and finally a weapons jumble, which required Soldiers to disassemble and reassemble six weapon systems and perform a function check on each. In the evening, teams participated in a unique land navigation course. Teams were required to do 100 pushups and find two points using their daggers, GPS device. Upon finding their points, teams returned and performed 100 more pushups before getting two more points. During the event ,teams had three and a half hours to find a total of eight points and 400 pushups.

A combat engineer, also called pioneer or sapper in many armies, is a soldier who performs a variety of construction and demolition tasks under combat conditions. Such tasks typically include constructing and breaching trenches, tank traps and other fortifications, bunker construction, bridge and road construction or destruction, laying or clearing land mines, and other physical work in the battlefield. More generally, the combat engineer's goals involve facilitating movement and support of friendly forces while impeding that of the enemy.
Usually, a combat engineer is also trained as an infantryman, and combat engineering units often have a secondary role fighting as infantry. Beyond self-defense, combat engineers, infantry and assault troopers from armored corps units are generally the only troops that engage in the assault while dismounted. This role is limited by a lack of fire support (such as that obtained by infantry units from their mortars and recoilless rifles). There are no advanced academic qualifications required to be a combat engineer. The term "engineer" is not to be confused with the term applied to Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer.

A sapper, also called pioneer or combat engineer, is a combatant or soldier who performs a variety of military engineering duties such as bridge-building, laying or clearing minefields, demolitions, field defences and general construction, as well as road and airfield construction and repair. They are also trained to serve as infantry personnel in defensive and offensive operations. A sapper's tasks are devoted to tasks involving facilitating movement of allied forces and impeding those of enemies.
The term "sapper" is used in the British Army, Polish Army, Commonwealth nations and U.S. military.
A sapper, in the sense first used by the Assyrian Army in the early 7th Century BC[citation needed], was one who excavated trenches under defensive fire to advance a besieging army's position in relation to the works of an attacked fortification, which was referred to as sapping the enemy fortifications.
Saps were excavated by brigades of trained sappers or instructed troops. When an army was defending a fortress with cannon, they had an obvious height and therefore range advantage over the attacker's guns. The attacking army's artillery had to be brought forward, under fire, so as to facilitate effective counter-battery fire.

Reporter Vera Wright (Jeff Donnell), following him to get a story of a failure, informs Stoney that he is a never-was has-been, and they find themselves stranded in the hometown of Eddy Arnold, where Eddy's film "cousin" Carolina Cotton (Carolina Cotton) quickly takes a shine to the shy and clumsy Stoney. Eddy sees a print of Stoney's film in which the character is singing "I Can't Shake the Sands of Texas From My Shoes" and is impressed and telephones his agent Sam Baker (Fred Sears) to come there quickly and sign Stoney to a contract, especially since he sounds like Gene Autry. Meanwhile, some bank robbers and gangsters get involved and have their eyes on the proceeds from a charity fund-raiser Eddy is doing. When the agent shows up to sign Stoney to a recording contract because "you sound like Gene Autry", Stoney says that is because it was Gene Autry doing the singing in the film. The film is somewhat of an inside joke built around ace stuntman Mahoney, in that his Stoney role is the opposite of his real-life abilities, and most of the males in the cast, Big Boy Williams, Douglas Fowley, Don Harvey and Charles Sullivan, takes turns beating him up and knocking him out...when he isn't falling out of hay lofts or involved in accidents. But a kiss from Carolina makes a new man out of him and the gangsters are rounded up in a one-man blitz, and Stoney ends up with eight studios bidding for his services. Eddy performs most of his best-selling hits of the day, with the exception of "Cattle Call", the vastly-underrated Carolina Cotton (as a performer and actress with a personality) yodels up a storm, and this overall turns out to be a pretty fair little sleeper, especially in regards to films where Hollywood takes a poke at itself.And probably unknown to those who go around compiling such lists.

U.S. Army Combat Engineer Training - Sapper Stakes 2015
U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard combat engineers came to Fort Chaffee, Ark. to compete in Sapper Stakes 2015. This year, 20 Sapper teams competed to earn the title of the best sapper team. Each team was made up of six Soldiers and a maximum of two alternates, competing in events that tested both their physical and mental prowess. On their first day, Soldiers rowed across a lake, pulled their Zodiac boat out, ran around a point to reinsert the boat and rowed back across. From there, they completed 500 burpies as a team, ran 2.15 miles and finally ruck 4.1 miles. More generally, the combat engineer's goals involve facilitating movement and support of friendly forces while impeding that of the enemy.
Usually, a combat engineer is also trained as an infantryman, and combat engineering units often have a secondary role fighting as infantry. Beyond self-defense, combat engineers, infantry and assault troopers from armored corps units are generally the only troops that engage in the assault while dismounted. This role is limited by a lack of fire support (such as that obtained by infantry units from their mortars and recoilless rifles). There are no advanced academic qualifications required to be a combat engineer. The term "engineer" is not to be confused with the term applied to Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer.

The weapon is capable of doing 105-112 damage up close, 50-90 damage at medium range, and 45-60 damage at close range. Starting at a town may be more difficult than it sounds, but I won't have to go far to explore and search for resources. Staying alive near large populations of zombies will be difficult at this early stage. The bow has become the entry level ranged weapon and is not nearly as effective as the crossbow. while the crossbow will take a little longer to craft with the new recipe, the Blunderbuss may even be easier to acquire.
-If I don't find what I need I will need to move on, but most likely I will move on anyway as I would like to explore what is new in the game and I am not likely to find it in just a small area.
-Some of the recent changes in Alpha 11
-Weapon and tool construction has become more complex. Crafting is based on a combination of skill level and luck. Item quality is 10 x your level, plus or minus a random number up to 50. This means at the start of level 1 quality will be from 1 to 60 and at level 2 from 1 to 70 and level 10 from 50 to150. A little confusing but just do the math.
-Weapon part molds have been disabled for now and weapons parts will be a varying quality also. The final constructed weapon will be an average of the quality of the parts.
-Hordes now increase in size until the seventh day mega horde, after which it resets to it's smallest size to start the cycle over again.
-Travel is much more dangerous. Books and gear are more readily available in smaller junk piles, as well as on dead zombies.
- Caves now generate on the map. This will be the best place to find raw resources.
- The best loot must be sought out in places where the dead have overrun civilization. I do not want to get too comfortable in any one place, Complacency will get me killed.
I find the game more interesting as a scavenger. Discovering new areas, buildings, and towns to explore where civilization once existed. The no boundary limit is quite exhilarating.
I may stop to try my hand at farming, but don't know how feasible that will be.

It's time for some gameplay episodes of You Must Build A Boat! YMBAB is the sequel to "10000000" or "Ten Million." This Ten Million sequel follows in the same vein as the original as a Match 3 Game. Match 3 Game strategy is not something I'm amazing at, but I'm here to give it my best shot.
You Must Build A Boat features some action RPG elements along the way. You star as a human character who needs to -- you guessed it -- BUILD A BOAT to navigate the waters! To aid in your boat-building extravaganza, you'll make improvements to your craft, your attacks, and accrue a nice bestiary of monsters along the way.
Come along with me while we Let's Play You Must Build A Boat! As I play the game, I'll work on internalizing as many Match 3 game tips as I can. We'll work on the unlockable upgrades featured in the game, while enjoying the charming retro, 8-bit graphic aesthetic.
