Ankunft im Hafen von Callao - Peru.
Transfer nach Lima in die Altstadt.
Besichtigungen auf eigene Faust.
Lima ist die Hauptstadt des südamerikanischen Andenstaates Peru mit fast 8,5 Mio. Einwohnern.
Hier finden wir Bauwerke aus unterschiedlichen Epochen.
Die Altstadt Limas ist 1991 von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt worden.
Unser Transfer-Bus bringt uns zum Convento de San Francisco.
Auf der Fahrt von Callao in die Altstadt von Lima sehen wir
unter anderem den Plaza de Mayor und den Plaza San Martin
mit dem Denkmal des argentinischen General José de San Martín.
Wir kommen an und besichtigen zuerst die Kirche Convento de San Francisco.
1. Convento de San Francisco.
Die Kirche und das Kloster werden durch ihre Größe und Farbe als schönster architektonischer Komplex in Lateinamerika angesehen. Es ist eines der reizvollsten Sakralbauten Limas.
Das Kloster San Francisco (16. Jhdt.) wurde nach dem Erdbeben von 1672 größtenteils neu gebaut.
Sehenswert sind der Kreuzgang mit andalusischen Kacheln, maurischen Decken und die Katakomben.
Gegenüber liegt die Casa de Jarava, Adelsgebäude im Renaissancestil.
2. Von dort machen wir einen Besuch des Parque de la Muralla,
am Ufer des Rio Rimac.
Hier finden wir Ausgrabungen und Reste der Stadtmauer.
Von dort schauen wir auf den Berg San Cristobal mit Gipfelkreuz. Es ist das Wahrzeichen von Lima, der „Stadt der Könige"

More than eight million inhabitants, grey sky, too much traffic, ugly architecture – this is Lima, the capital of Peru. Perhaps the ugliest capital in the world. It’s known as Lima, the horrible. I didn’t know that and was shaken, what you will see at the camera work. But to travel through Peru, Lima is the only way to enter and exit by airplane. And so I was stuck for three days in Lima – and ate my first and my last guinea pig.
Über acht Millionen Einwohner, grauer Himmel, zu viel Verkehr, hässliche Architektur – das ist Lima, die Hauptstadt von Peru. Sie ist wahrscheinlich die hässlichste Hauptstadt der Welt, auch bekannt als Lima die Schreckliche. Ich wusste das vorher nicht und war erschüttert, was man auch an der Kameraführung merkt. Doch wenn man nach Peru reist, führt kein Weg an Lima vorbei. Und so saß ich drei Tage fest – und aß mein erstes und letztes Meerschweinchen.

Natürlich sollte man auch nie aus den Augen lassen, wie weit man überhaupt schon gekommen ist, wenn man den heißesten Laufsteg der Welt betreten darf. Adriana Lima, die 2014 die Ehren hatte den legendären Fantasy Bra tragen zu dürfen, spricht ihren neuen Kolleginnen deshalb einfach Mut zu. „Die größten Supermodels der Welt haben bei dieser Show mitgemacht, also wenn du ein Teil davon bist... gute Nachricht“. Damit die Zuschauer von dieser Reise maximal profitieren, hat er sich etwas Besonderes einfallen lassen: das Routenvoting. Seine Facebook-Fans stellen die Strecke zusammen. Und so geht es für ihn von Peru über die USA und Neuseeland bis Nepal und Südafrika. Doch seine Fans haben noch mehr Macht: Sie bestimmen auch das Reiseprogramm. Der russische Präsident Wladimir Putin hat sich am Samstag mit seinem philippinischen Amtskollegen Rodrigo Duterte in Lima, am Rande des Pazifik-Gipfels getroffen. Früher am Samstag traf der philippinische Präsident bereits auf den chinesischen Staatspräsidenten Xi Jinping. Duterte hatte Putin am 20. Oktober als seinen „Lieblingshelden“ beschrieben. Zudem erklärte er, dass er die Weltansicht Russlands und Chinas teile. „Vielleicht werde ich auch nach Russland reisen, um mit Putin zu sprechen und ihm zu sagen, dass es drei von uns gegen die Welt gibt - China, Philippinen und Russland. Es ist der einzige Weg“, so der philippinische Präsident vor einem Monat.
Beim Treffen in Lima soll Duterte erneut den Westen kritisiert haben: „In letzter Zeit sehe ich eine Menge dieser westlichen Staaten, die kleinere Nationen unter Druck setzen. Und nicht nur das, denn sie sind dabei auch unerhört heuchlerisch. Sie scheinen einen Krieg zu beginnen, haben aber Angst, in den Krieg zu gehen. Das ist das, was falsch ist mit Amerika und den anderen. Sie führten Krieg an so vielen Orten, in Vietnam, in Afghanistan und im Irak und Sie bestehen darauf, wenn Sie mit ihnen verbunden sind, dass sie Ihnen folgen.“
Putin erinnerte beim Treffen daran, dass Russland und die Philippinen den 40. Jahrestag ihrer bilateralen und diplomatischen Beziehungen in diesem Jahr feiern werden. Außerdem gratulierte er Duterte zu seinem Sieg bei den Präsidentschaftswahlen im Mai. Zu der russischen Delegation gehörten unter Anderem auch Außenminister Sergej Lawrow und Gazprom-CEO Alexej Miller.
Am frühen Sonntag soll Putin Medienberichten zu Folge Duterte offiziell nach Moskau eingeladen haben.

3. Plaza Mayor (früher Plaza de Armas).
Die Besichtigung des kolonialen Limas beginnt an der Plaza Mayor (früher Plaza de Armas).
Auf dem Platz spielte sich zur Zeit des spanischen Eroberers Francisco Pizarro das gesamte städtische Leben ab.
Der Platz ist heute auch weiterhin religiöses und politisches Zentrum der Stadt. Bauten im historischen Stil mit Holzbalkonen, Portalen und Arkaden und einem Brunnen in der Mitte.
4. Casa de la Literatura Peruana
5. Der weisse Palacio de Gobierno 1938 (Regierungspalast).
Nordseite der Plaza Mayor.
Großer Vorhof. 12 Uhr Wachablösung!
Besichtigung nur an bestimmten Tagen.
Ein Teil des Palastes dient als Residenz des Staatspräsidenten.
6. Gleich daneben das Rathaus - Municipalidad. (20. Jhdt.).
7. Der Brunnen (1652) in der Mitte des Platzes ist der Punkt von dem aus alle Entfernungen Perus gemessen werden.
Nullpunkt.
8. Ostseite der Plaza Mayor ist die Kathedrale (16. Jhdt.).
Die Türme wurden nach dem Erdbeben 1746 wieder aufgebaut.
Die Fassade fügt sich harmonisch in das Gesamtbild des Platzes.
Außentüren mit schweren Bronzenägeln.
Innen findet man gleich in der ersten Kapelle rechts das Grab von Francisco Pizarro (Gründer von Lima, 1535).
Außerdem Geschnitztes Chorgestühl und vergoldete Altäre.

Lima
Lima /ˈliːmə/ is the capital and the largest city of Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, in the central coastal part of the country, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Lima is home to one of the oldest higher learning institutions in the New World. The National University of San Marcos, founded on May 12 of 1551, during Spanish colonial regime, is the oldest continuously functioning university in the Americas.

It is bordered in the north by Ecuador and Colombia, in the east by Brazil, in the southeast by Bolivia, in the south by Chile, and in the west by the Pacific Ocean. Peru is an extremely biodiverse country with habitats ranging from the arid plains of the Pacific coastal region in the west to the peaks of the Andes mountains vertically extending from the north to the southeast of the country to the tropical Amazon Basin rainforest in the east with the Amazon river.
Peruvian territory was home to ancient cultures spanning from the Norte Chico civilization in Caral, one of the oldest in the world, to the Inca Empire, the largest state in Pre-Columbian America. The Spanish Empire conquered the region in the 16th century and established a Viceroyalty with its capital in Lima, which included most of its South American colonies. Ideas of political autonomy later spread throughout Spanish America and Peru gained its independence, which was formally proclaimed in 1821. After the battle of Ayacucho, three years after proclamation, Peru ensured its independence. After achieving independence, the country remained in recession and kept a low military profile until an economic rise based on the extraction of raw and maritime materials struck the country, which ended shortly before the war of the Pacific. Subsequently, the country has undergone changes in government from oligarchic to democratic systems. Peru has gone through periods of political unrest and internal conflict as well as periods of stability and economic upswing.

San Francisco
San Francisco (/sæn frənˈsɪskoʊ/), officially the City and County of San Francisco, is the cultural, commercial, and financial center of Northern California and the only consolidated city-county in California. San Francisco encompasses a land area of about 46.9 square miles (121 km2) on the northern end of the San Francisco Peninsula, which makes it the smallest county in the state. It has a density of about 18,187 people per square mile (7,022 people per km2), making it the most densely settled large city (population greater than 200,000) in the state of California and the second-most densely populated major city in the United States after New York City. More than eight million inhabitants, grey sky, too much traffic, ugly architecture – this is Lima, the capital of Peru. Perhaps the ugliest capital in the world. It’s known as Lima, the horrible. I didn’t know that and was shaken, what you will see at the camera work. But to travel through Peru, Lima is the only way to enter and exit by airplane. And so I was stuck for three days in Lima – and ate my first and my last guinea pig. Über acht Millionen Einwohner, grauer Himmel, zu viel Verkehr, hässliche Architektur – das ist Lima, die Hauptstadt von Peru. Sie ist wahrscheinlich die hässlichste Hauptstadt der Welt, auch bekannt als Lima die Schreckliche. Ich wusste das vorher nicht und war erschüttert, was man auch an der Kameraführung merkt. Doch wenn man nach Peru reist, führt kein Weg an Lima vorbei. Und so saß ich drei Tage fest – und aß mein erstes und letztes Meerschweinchen. -

Früher am Samstag traf der philippinische Präsident bereits auf den chinesischen Staatspräsidenten Xi Jinping. Duterte hatte Putin am 20. Oktober als seinen „Lieblingshelden“ beschrieben. Zudem erklärte er, dass er die Weltansicht Russlands und Chinas teile. „Vielleicht werde ich auch nach Russland reisen, um mit Putin zu sprechen und ihm zu sagen, dass es drei von uns gegen die Welt gibt - China, Philippinen und Russland. Es ist der einzige Weg“, so der philippinische Präsident vor einem Monat. Beim Treffen in Lima soll Duterte erneut den Westen kritisiert haben: „In letzter Zeit sehe ich eine Menge dieser westlichen Staaten, die kleinere Nationen unter Druck setzen. Und nicht nur das, denn sie sind dabei auch unerhört heuchlerisch. Sie scheinen einen Krieg zu beginnen, haben aber Angst, in den Krieg zu gehen. Das ist das, was falsch ist mit Amerika und den anderen. Sie führten Krieg an so vielen Orten, in Vietnam, in Afghanistan und im Irak und Sie bestehen darauf, wenn Sie mit ihnen verbunden sind, dass sie Ihnen folgen.“ Putin erinnerte beim Treffen daran, dass Russland und die Philippinen den 40. Jahrestag ihrer bilateralen und diplomatischen Beziehungen in diesem Jahr feiern werden. Außerdem gratulierte er Duterte zu seinem Sieg bei den Präsidentschaftswahlen im Mai. Zu der russischen Delegation gehörten unter Anderem auch Außenminister Sergej Lawrow und Gazprom-CEO Alexej Miller. Am frühen Sonntag soll Putin Medienberichten zu Folge Duterte offiziell nach Moskau eingeladen haben. Auf dem Platz spielte sich zur Zeit des spanischen Eroberers Francisco Pizarro das gesamte städtische Leben ab. Der Platz ist heute auch weiterhin religiöses und politisches Zentrum der Stadt. Bauten im historischen Stil mit Holzbalkonen, Portalen und Arkaden und einem Brunnen in der Mitte. 4. Casa de la Literatura Peruana 5. Der weisse Palacio de Gobierno 1938 (Regierungspalast). Nordseite der Plaza Mayor. Großer Vorhof. 12 Uhr Wachablösung! Besichtigung nur an bestimmten Tagen. Ein Teil des Palastes dient als Residenz des Staatspräsidenten. 6. Gleich daneben das Rathaus - Municipalidad. (20. Jhdt.). 7. Der Brunnen (1652) in der Mitte des Platzes ist der Punkt von dem aus alle Entfernungen Perus gemessen werden. Nullpunkt. 8. Ostseite der Plaza Mayor ist die Kathedrale (16. Jhdt.). Die Türme wurden nach dem Erdbeben 1746 wieder aufgebaut. Die Fassade fügt sich harmonisch in das Gesamtbild des Platzes. Außentüren mit schweren Bronzenägeln. Innen findet man gleich in der ersten Kapelle rechts das Grab von Francisco Pizarro (Gründer von Lima, 1535). Außerdem Geschnitztes Chorgestühl und vergoldete Altäre. 9. Museo Caredral de Lima und Museo Palacio Arzobispal de Lima. 10. Plaza de Peru. Juli 2003 Dr. Luis Castaneda Lossio 11. Kloster Santo Domingo (16. Jhdt.) und Kirche. Innen in einem der Altäre die Urne der hl. Rosa von Lima. 12. Das Kloster San Augustín im Jirón Ica Kunstvolle Fassade. Hier finden wir Bauwerke aus unterschiedlichen Epochen.
Die Altstadt Limas ist 1991 von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt worden.
Unser Transfer-Bus bringt uns zum Convento de San Francisco.
Auf der Fahrt von Callao in die Altstadt von Lima sehen wir
unter anderem den Plaza de Mayor und den Plaza San Martin
mit dem Denkmal des argentinischen General José de San Martín.
Wir kommen an und besichtigen zuerst die Kirche Convento de San Francisco.
1. Convento de San Francisco.
Die Kirche und das Kloster werden durch ihre Größe und Farbe als schönster architektonischer Komplex in Lateinamerika angesehen. Es ist eines der reizvollsten Sakralbauten Limas.
Das Kloster San Francisco (16. Jhdt.) wurde nach dem Erdbeben von 1672 größtenteils neu gebaut.
Sehenswert sind der Kreuzgang mit andalusischen Kacheln, maurischen Decken und die Katakomben.
Gegenüber liegt die Casa de Jarava, Adelsgebäude im Renaissancestil.
2. Von dort machen wir einen Besuch des Parque de la Muralla,
am Ufer des Rio Rimac.
Hier finden wir Ausgrabungen und Reste der Stadtmauer.
Von dort schauen wir auf den Berg San Cristobal mit Gipfelkreuz. Es ist das Wahrzeichen von Lima, der „Stadt der Könige"

I didn’t know that and was shaken, what you will see at the camera work. But to travel through Peru, Lima is the only way to enter and exit by airplane. And so I was stuck for three days in Lima – and ate my first and my last guinea pig.

Der russische Präsident Wladimir Putin hat sich am Samstag mit seinem philippinischen Amtskollegen Rodrigo Duterte in Lima, am Rande des Pazifik-Gipfels getroffen. Früher am Samstag traf der philippinische Präsident bereits auf den chinesischen Staatspräsidenten Xi Jinping. Duterte hatte Putin am 20. Oktober als seinen „Lieblingshelden“ beschrieben. Zudem erklärte er, dass er die Weltansicht Russlands und Chinas teile. „Vielleicht werde ich auch nach Russland reisen, um mit Putin zu sprechen und ihm zu sagen, dass es drei von uns gegen die Welt gibt - China, Philippinen und Russland. Es ist der einzige Weg“, so der philippinische Präsident vor einem Monat.
Beim Treffen in Lima soll Duterte erneut den Westen kritisiert haben: „In letzter Zeit sehe ich eine Menge dieser westlichen Staaten, die kleinere Nationen unter Druck setzen. Und nicht nur das, denn sie sind dabei auch unerhört heuchlerisch. Sie scheinen einen Krieg zu beginnen, haben aber Angst, in den Krieg zu gehen. Das ist das, was falsch ist mit Amerika und den anderen. Sie führten Krieg an so vielen Orten, in Vietnam, in Afghanistan und im Irak und Sie bestehen darauf, wenn Sie mit ihnen verbunden sind, dass sie Ihnen folgen.“
Putin erinnerte beim Treffen daran, dass Russland und die Philippinen den 40. Jahrestag ihrer bilateralen und diplomatischen Beziehungen in diesem Jahr feiern werden. Außerdem gratulierte er Duterte zu seinem Sieg bei den Präsidentschaftswahlen im Mai. Zu der russischen Delegation gehörten unter Anderem auch Außenminister Sergej Lawrow und Gazprom-CEO Alexej Miller.
Am frühen Sonntag soll Putin Medienberichten zu Folge Duterte offiziell nach Moskau eingeladen haben.

3. Plaza Mayor (früher Plaza de Armas).
Die Besichtigung des kolonialen Limas beginnt an der Plaza Mayor (früher Plaza de Armas).
Auf dem Platz spielte sich zur Zeit des spanischen Eroberers Francisco Pizarro das gesamte städtische Leben ab.
Der Platz ist heute auch weiterhin religiöses und politisches Zentrum der Stadt. Bauten im historischen Stil mit Holzbalkonen, Portalen und Arkaden und einem Brunnen in der Mitte.
4. Casa de la Literatura Peruana
5. Der weisse Palacio de Gobierno 1938 (Regierungspalast).
Nordseite der Plaza Mayor.
Großer Vorhof. 12 Uhr Wachablösung!
Besichtigung nur an bestimmten Tagen.
Ein Teil des Palastes dient als Residenz des Staatspräsidenten.
6. Gleich daneben das Rathaus - Municipalidad. (20. Jhdt.).
7. Der Brunnen (1652) in der Mitte des Platzes ist der Punkt von dem aus alle Entfernungen Perus gemessen werden.

8. Ostseite der Plaza Mayor ist die Kathedrale (16. Jhdt.).
Die Türme wurden nach dem Erdbeben 1746 wieder aufgebaut.
Die Fassade fügt sich harmonisch in das Gesamtbild des Platzes.
Außentüren mit schweren Bronzenägeln.
Innen findet man gleich in der ersten Kapelle rechts das Grab von Francisco Pizarro (Gründer von Lima, 1535).
Außerdem Geschnitztes Chorgestühl und vergoldete Altäre.

In Miraflores is Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Columbian temple of some 1,500 years old. The pleasant mansion of the Museo Larco in Pueblo Libre contains amazing pre-Columbian artifacts.
Lima’s parks is where the rich and poor find common ground. Parque de las Leyendas is a zoo and Parque de Exposición has fountains to play in and an awe-inspiring light show.

This Neo-Classic building was completed in 1938 and stands on the foundation of the former Pizzarro Palace. In the palace gardens is the house in which Pizzarro was killed. Lima, the City of Kings, became the capital of the largest region in Spanish South America and was where the viceroys of the Spanish crown resided. During colonial times this city was the largest, most populated, finest and most cultivated city on the continent. Some of the most beautiful colonial buildings in South America are to be found in Lima’s old town along with carved balconies of Moorish origin. Huaraz is the 3,050 metre high capital of the Departamento Ancash in the White Mountain range, the Cordillera Blanca. Several natural catastrophes destroyed the majority of the old houses and many people were killed. In 1824 Simon Bolivar built his headquarters there prior to his bloody struggle for Peru’s independence. The valley oasis of Nazca which played an important role during the early history of Peru is a desolate area in the south of the country. A small airport is the starting point of a journey to one of the world’s greatest mysteries, the enigma of Nazca culture: images of humans, animals and geometric forms scattered over an area of 1,000 km² like the pages of some fantastic historical and astronomical book, created by the Nazca between 500 B.C. and 500 A.D.The 8,300 km² Lake Titicaca is located at an altitudeof 4,000 m in the Andes Mountains on the border that divides Peru and Bolivia. Then there’s Machu Picchu, the Lost City Of The Incas! Peru is a country full of mystery and ancient history. A land of mountains, desert and jungle. A precious gem on the edge of the world!
