Bain Capability centre is the Indian offshore branch of Bain & Company. Bain & Company is a global management consulting firm with offices in Mumbai and New Delhi that serve Indian clients in all sectors. It is one of the top most consulting firm like McKinsey & Boston Consulting. Top notch client comes with business problems & the consulting firm look for solutions and present it to the client. Ruchika has been hired as an Analyst, and she is supposed to work in teams. In teams, they are given projects received by the company and then they need to analyse the problem, find solution to it and then do the final presentation to the client. Placement Procedure :-( Job interview tips) The interview selection procedure were as follows:- Ist was cv shortlist - 200 cv’s - 25 were selected. It was an off-campus interview. So the entire interview process took in their office premise. The interview process was quite rigorous & systematic. Compiled into 3 stages:- ( Interview Stages) 1. Written Test 2. Destination Round 3. Case Interview 1st round Written Test. (job interview question and answers) In the first leg of the written test, business problem was given. It was in the form of data interpretation. - Objective question type - Select the best suitable option In the next leg of the written test, slide arrangement was given. - Students were supposed to make stories out of the given information about the company 2nd round. Now next was the interview round. It was called the Destination Round.( job interview question and answers) This round was to check the candidates: - 1. Logical Consistency 2. Analytical approach In case of Ruchika, she was supposed to figure out the size of clothing Brand in India. These were the real cases received by the company. They wanted to test the candidates on the following parameters:- 1) How to deal with the problem? 2) Can they be the real professional? 3) Do they have the aptitude to see through problems and can get solutions? Case problem received by Ruchika :- “Airline company based in Europe” She had to find lots of things basis the given case. Followings questions were asked:- - Prospects of the company? - What kind of investment they should do? - Where the company should invest - Sitting occupancy of an aeroplane - Load factor - Break Even point - Calculate probable revenue - Using Financial Tools – Financial statement information and then utilize the information as a investor on the following aspects:- Should I invest? Factors for acquisition & Mergers Test the ability whether the candidate can analyse the industry or not? HR Round questions:- (job interview question and answers) In this round regular questions were asked. Glimpse of the questions are as follows:- - Why you want to join the company - Why consulting company - Why Bane & Co particularly? Another common question in HR round – Tell me about yourself ( how you are suited to the company), you have to focussed while answering.
