Chhawla

Chhawla is a census town in South West district in the state of Delhi, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Chhawla had a population of 9047. Males constitute 57% of the population and females 43%. Chhawla has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 83% and female literacy of 68%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Chhawla village is a big Jaat dominated village. It is the biggest village of Delhi area wise and second richest village of Delhi too. It is hometown of leaders like Yogesh Kashyap, Sumesh Shokeen,Rajpal Shokeen.
