Airbus A330
The Airbus A330 is a medium to long range wide-body twin-engine jet airliner made by Airbus, a division of Airbus Group. Versions of the A330 have a range of 5,600 to 13,430 kilometres (3,020 to 7,250 nmi; 3,480 to 8,350 mi) and can accommodate up to 335 passengers in a two-class layout or carry 70 tonnes (154,000 lb) of cargo.
The A330's origin dates to the mid-1970s as one of several conceived derivatives of Airbus's first airliner, the A300. The A330 was developed in parallel with the four-engine A340, which shared many common airframe components but differed in number of engines. Both airliners incorporated fly-by-wire flight control technology, first introduced on an Airbus aircraft with the A320, as well as the A320's six-display glass cockpit. In June 1987, after receiving orders from various customers, Airbus launched the A330 and A340. The A330 was Airbus's first airliner that offered a choice of three engines: General Electric CF6, Pratt & Whitney PW4000, and Rolls-Royce Trent 700.

Max Volume
Max Volume is an American musician, radio personality and voice-over artist. Volume is a Northern Nevada disc jockey, and is also a studio producer/engineer, as well as being a guitarist and solo acoustic artist. Either solo or with The Max Volume Band, he has opened shows for Aerosmith, Y&T, UFO, Thin Lizzy, Dave Mason, Lacy J. Dalton, Pat Travers, Les Dudek, Steve Morse, Mickey Thomas, Foghat, Edgar Winter, Reo Speedwagon, Frank Hannon of Tesla, and many others. For three consecutive years (1989–91) Volume was voted "Best Ears in America" by industry publication Friday Morning Quarterback (FMQB). In 2001, Volume was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. Volume is the Afternoon Drive DJ, Mondays through Fridays on Reno, Nevada Classic rock station KOZZ.
Born Glenn Bailey, Volume was raised in Glendale, California. He graduated from Crescenta Valley High School in La Crescenta California. Volume earned his associate degree from Truckee Meadows Community College in 2006. He developed an interest in music at an early age after receiving a guitar from his aunt Christine at age nine. He soon began teaching himself to play. By age 12 Volume was performing and recording. His father, Ralph, the Chief Deputy Coroner of Los Angeles County, did not support his musical aspirations, due to the amount of dead young guitar players in the L.A. County Morgue. His mother Joni was the International President of Sweet Adelines International and often bought him song books with guitar tablature, in which he studied his heroes Jimmy Page, Pete Townshend and Neil Young.

Swiss Airbus A330-300 - Massive thunderstorms upon landing in Miami
Flight LX 64 from Zurich to Miami / July 31 2015 HB-JHE After a 9 hour 45 minute flight from Zurich Switzerland, Miami welcomed us with a front of severe thunderstorms, hail and high wind gusts, prompting Miami International Airport to close for more than 2 hours. Many flights were diverted to Tampa or Orlando that afternoon - we were lucky given the circumstances and just vectored around Florida towards the Florida Keys, Cuba and than upwards the Florida Gulf Coast before final vectors for a landing on RWY26R. Look at the amazing waterspray caused by the reversers, giving in impression about the amount of water on the runway. Total airborne time was 10 hours and 50 minutes and then another hour of hold and taxi on the ground until we reached the gate. Kudos to the pilots really - manual ...

Here is the second leg of this long journey to Beijing, the new Economy class aboard the A330-300 of Cathay Pacific for the flight CX312 from Hong Kong to Beijing. I'm editing now the next report. Have a nice week! After this very long journey from France to Beijing I've found the Cathay Pacific service very good, as the catering. The economy seats are comfortable. The IFE offer a great experience of entertainment with a good selection of movies, TV shows, and music! The delay was well managed by Cathay Pacific and his crew were very professional to manage it. After a 9 hour 45 minute flight from Zurich Switzerland, Miami welcomed us with a front of severe thunderstorms, hail and high wind gusts, prompting Miami International Airport to close for more than 2 hours. Many flights were diverted to Tampa or Orlando that afternoon - we were lucky given the circumstances and just vectored around Florida towards the Florida Keys, Cuba and than upwards the Florida Gulf Coast before final vectors for a landing on RWY26R. Look at the amazing waterspray caused by the reversers, giving in impression about the amount of water on the runway.
Total airborne time was 10 hours and 50 minutes and then another hour of hold and taxi on the ground until we reached the gate.
Kudos to the pilots really - manual landing / autopilot disconnect sound at 21:48, and then nicely correcting a strong windgust / nose-up pitch at 22:34 - great flight and amazing landing

This flight happened in April 2015. Unfortunately a very big cold front stretched all the way from
Japan to the South of China. The weather was gray, miserable and (unusually) chilly - so no views
of Hong Kong or Tokyo Bay.
However, we did not encounter any serious turbulence, which you would normally expect around Japan.
At the beginning of the video you will see some impressions of Tokyo, including the Shinjuku Gyoen Park,
Ginza shopping district, Yurakucho Metro Line, Tokyo Station, Shinkansen and the Narita Express.
At Narita Airport our Cathay Pacific flight was delayed by about 40 minutes, because a Chinese tour group happen to turn
up too late boarding due to the late arrival of connecting flight. Moreover, they bags were loaded too late.
After landing in Hong Kong I made my way towards my final destination Guangzhou. I went to the HKG SkyPier Terminal,
took the ferry over the Shekou Port in Shenzhen, then went by taxi to Shenzhen North Railway Station. Finally
a Chinese high speed train drove me to Guangzhou South Railway Station.

After this very long journey from France to Beijing I've found the Cathay Pacific service very good, as the catering. The economy seats are comfortable. The IFE offer a great experience of entertainment with a good selection of movies, TV shows, and music! The delay was well managed by Cathay Pacific and his crew were very professional to manage it. Even if this is usual in China I don't understand why they don't use bigger aircraft for less flight ? They could use B747 instead of A333 for this route. So that was a really good experience on board Cathay Pacific's new economy class flight to Beijing.
