The Fort Frederick 18th Century Market Fair is one of the biggest reenacting/living history events of its kind in the eastern U.S.. Last week I was camping at the 2014 version of the event, and I'd like to share some of the goings on in this video. This was the 20th annual Market Fair at Fort Fred, and the Friends of Fort Frederick went out of their way to make it memorable. In this video we'll take brief looks at the campers, the vendors and the re-enactors who make the event so much fun. This video will only scratch the surface of the event. If you want to see more, make plans to visit the fort in Big Pool, Maryland at the end of April for the 2015 edition.

The Market Fair is a juried event featuring 18th century re-enactors and living historians, and one of the largest arrays of vendors specializing in merchandise that is historically accurate to the event's 18th century time frame. This video will focus on the campers and the vendors who attend the event. The second video in the series will showcase some of the craftsmen and artisans who attend the Market Fair.
