China’s Elephant Man has had a fourth operation to remove the world’s biggest facial tumour. Huang Chuncai from Hunan Province, China had a huge 25kg facial tumour that hung down to his waist. In a series of four life-saving operations Huang has had 21kg of the mammoth tumour removed – and can now lead a normal life. The 37-year-old has the worst case of Neurofibromatosis ever recorded and he could barely move, eat or sleep. The rare condition causes excessive sell growth and tumours that melted Huang’s face.
Huang's story will appear in a new series of Body Bizarre, which airs every Thursday at 9pm on TLC.

Joseph Carey Merrick (5 August 1862 – 11 April 1890), sometimes incorrectly referred to as John Merrick, was an English man with severe deformities who was exhibited as a human curiosity named the Elephant Man. He became well known in London society after he went to live at the London Hospital. Merrick was born in Leicester, Leicestershire and began to develop abnormally during the first few years of his life. His skin appeared thick and lumpy, he developed enlarged lips, and a bony lump grew on his forehead. One of his arms and both of his feet became enlarged and at some point during his childhood he fell and damaged his hip, resulting in permanent lameness. When he was 10, his mother died, and his father soon remarried. Merrick left school at 13 and had difficulty finding employment. Rejected by his father and stepmother, he left home. In late 1879, Merrick, aged 17, entered the Leicester Union Workhouse.
In 1884, after four years in the workhouse, Merrick contacted a showman named Sam Torr and proposed that Torr should exhibit him. Torr agreed and arranged for a group of men to manage Merrick, whom they named the Elephant Man. After touring the East Midlands, Merrick traveled to London to be exhibited in a penny gaff shop on Whitechapel Road which was rented by showman Tom Norman. Norman's shop, directly across the street from the London Hospital, was visited by a surgeon named Frederick Treves, who invited Merrick to be examined and photographed. Soon after Merrick's visits to the hospital, Tom Norman's shop was closed by the police, and Merrick's managers sent him to tour in Europe.
In Belgium, Merrick was robbed by his road manager and abandoned in Brussels. He eventually made his way back to London; unable to communicate, he was found by the police to have Dr. Treves's card on him. Treves came and took Merrick back to the London Hospital. Although his condition was incurable, Merrick was allowed to stay at the hospital for the remainder of his life. Treves visited him daily, and the pair developed quite a close friendship. Merrick also received visits from the wealthy ladies and gentlemen of London society, including Alexandra, Princess of Wales.
Aged 27, Merrick died on 11 April 1890. The official cause of death was asphyxia, although Treves, who dissected the body, said that Merrick had died of a dislocated neck. He believed that Merrick—who had to sleep sitting up because of the weight of his head—had been attempting to sleep lying down, to "be like other people".
The exact cause of Merrick's deformities is unclear. The dominant theory throughout much of the 20th century was that Merrick suffered from neurofibromatosis type I. In 1986, a new theory emerged that he had Proteus syndrome. In 2001, it was proposed that Merrick had suffered from a combination of neurofibromatosis type I and Proteus syndrome. DNA tests conducted on his hair and bones have proven inconclusive.
In 1979, Bernard Pomerance's play about Merrick called The Elephant Man debuted, and David Lynch's film, also called The Elephant Man, was released the following year. In late 2014 and early 2015, Bradley Cooper starred in a Broadway revival of The Elephant Man, directed by Scott Ellis.

Kat DeLuna
Kathleen "Kat" Emperatriz DeLuna (born November 26, 1987) is an American singer, songwriter and dancer. Born in The Bronx to Dominican parents, DeLuna began pursuing a career as a singer when she was a teenager. After signing with Epic Records, she released her debut single "Whine Up" in 2007. The single went on to become a commercial success, entering the Top 40 in numerous countries and topping the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. Her debut studio album, 9 Lives (2007), failed to see the success of its lead single. The album's third single, "Run the Show", became a hit in various territories, and reached number two on the Hot Dance Club Play chart.
Following the commercial performance of her first album, DeLuna was dropped from Epic Records. DeLuna continued to record both collaborations and soundtrack singles. DeLuna later began working on her second studio album, Inside Out (2010), which received a limited release through Universal Music Belgium. The album spawned a number of singles, notably "Unstoppable", "Push Push", and "Dancing Tonight" featuring Lil Wayne, Akon, and Fo Onassis respectively. Viva, the North American edition of the album, was slated to be released later that year; however, this never materialized. DeLuna is currently working on her third studio album, slated to be released in 2015.

Miley Ray Cyrus (born Destiny Hope Cyrus; November 23, 1992) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee, she held minor roles in the television series Doc and the film Big Fish in her childhood. Cyrus became a teen idol for her portrayal of the starring character Miley Stewart in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana in 2006; her father Billy Ray Cyrus additionally starred in the show. Joseph Carey Merrick (5 August 1862 – 11 April 1890), sometimes incorrectly referred to as John Merrick, was an English man with severe deformities who was exhibited as a human curiosity named the Elephant Man. He became well known in London society after he went to live at the London Hospital. Merrick was born in Leicester, Leicestershire and began to develop abnormally during the first few years of his life. His skin appeared thick and lumpy, he developed enlarged lips, and a bony lump grew on his forehead. One of his arms and both of his feet became enlarged and at some point during his childhood he fell and damaged his hip, resulting in permanent lameness. When he was 10, his mother died, and his father soon remarried. Merrick left school at 13 and had difficulty finding employment. Rejected by his father and stepmother, he left home. In late 1879, Merrick, aged 17, entered the Leicester Union Workhouse.
In 1884, after four years in the workhouse, Merrick contacted a showman named Sam Torr and proposed that Torr should exhibit him. Torr agreed and arranged for a group of men to manage Merrick, whom they named the Elephant Man. After touring the East Midlands, Merrick traveled to London to be exhibited in a penny gaff shop on Whitechapel Road which was rented by showman Tom Norman. Norman's shop, directly across the street from the London Hospital, was visited by a surgeon named Frederick Treves, who invited Merrick to be examined and photographed. Soon after Merrick's visits to the hospital, Tom Norman's shop was closed by the police, and Merrick's managers sent him to tour in Europe.
In Belgium, Merrick was robbed by his road manager and abandoned in Brussels. He eventually made his way back to London; unable to communicate, he was found by the police to have Dr. Treves's card on him. Treves came and took Merrick back to the London Hospital. Although his condition was incurable, Merrick was allowed to stay at the hospital for the remainder of his life. Treves visited him daily, and the pair developed quite a close friendship. Merrick also received visits from the wealthy ladies and gentlemen of London society, including Alexandra, Princess of Wales.
Aged 27, Merrick died on 11 April 1890. The official cause of death was asphyxia, although Treves, who dissected the body, said that Merrick had died of a dislocated neck. He believed that Merrick—who had to sleep sitting up because of the weight of his head—had been attempting to sleep lying down, to "be like other people".
The exact cause of Merrick's deformities is unclear. The dominant theory throughout much of the 20th century was that Merrick suffered from neurofibromatosis type I. In 1986, a new theory emerged that he had Proteus syndrome. In 2001, it was proposed that Merrick had suffered from a combination of neurofibromatosis type I and Proteus syndrome. DNA tests conducted on his hair and bones have proven inconclusive.
In 1979, Bernard Pomerance's play about Merrick called The Elephant Man debuted, and David Lynch's film, also called The Elephant Man, was released the following year. In late 2014 and early 2015, Bradley Cooper starred in a Broadway revival of The Elephant Man, directed by Scott Ellis.

En 1884, à Londres, John Merrick, dit L'homme éléphant (John Hurt) est un phénomène de foire comme nombre d'êtres humains affectés de difformités ou d'anomalies physiques congénitales graves. Le « propriétaire » de l'homme éléphant se nomme Bytes (Freddie Jones). Le Dr Frederick Treves (Anthony Hopkins), grand chirurgien réputé de Londres, intrigué par l'apparence visuelle terrible de l'homme-éléphant, présentant d'atroces difformités monstrueuses qu'il n'avait de sa vie encore jamais vues de ses propres yeux, demande à Bytes de pouvoir l'examiner plus en détail. Le nom de cet être horriblement déformé est John Merrick, il a 21 ans et ne semble pas pouvoir s'exprimer verbalement.
Le Dr Treves emprunte alors l'homme-éléphant à son propriétaire pour quelques jours contre une somme d'argent et l'héberge momentanément dans une chambre de quarantaine de l'hôpital le temps de l'étudier plus en détail et de le présenter à ses confrères lors d'un de ses cours d'anatomie de la faculté de médecine, détaillant ses effrayantes difformités corporelles. Il décide de le garder dans l'hôpital, le logeant plus ou moins secrètement (avec l'accord du directeur de l'établissement, Sir Carr Gomm (John Gielgud), bien que réservé) dans une chambre individuelle pour ne pas choquer les autres patients. Mais Bytes somme le Dr Treves de lui rendre l'homme-éléphant, son « gagne-pain », ce que Treves refuse, soutenu par le directeur de l'établissement.
Merrick va se mettre à communiquer avec Treves, récitant un passage entier d'un psaume de la Bible lors de la première visite du directeur, et s'exprimant dans un anglais parfait malgré les défauts de prononciation dus à ses lèvres et sa bouche terriblement déformées, et révélant une grande sensibilité doublée d'une intelligence hors norme.
Le gardien de nuit de l'hôpital, homme sans scrupules, va à nouveau utiliser Merrick comme phénomène de foire par des invitations nocturnes contre monnaie. Bytes rencontre le gardien de nuit au bar où celui-ci fait ses invitations quotidiennes aux prostituées et alcooliques du quartier. Bytes réussit finalement à s'emparer de John, ils partent vers le continent où il se remet à l'exhiber à nouveau dans des foires, en Belgique dans la région d'Ostende. Bytes multipliant les mauvais traitements, terrorisant John, allant jusqu'à l'enfermer une nuit dans une cage à barreaux mitoyenne de celle de très agressifs babouins. Avec l'aide des autres « phénomènes » du cirque, John parvient à s'enfuir de nuit. Rejoignant Ostende, il prend un paquebot pour retourner vers Londres.
À son arrivée, il est poursuivi par la population. Acculé dans des toilettes publiques de la gare de Londres, dans sa détresse il hurle qu'il est un être humain. Des agents de police lui viennent en aide et le ramènent à son hôpital où il retrouve aussitôt le Dr Treves et la sécurité de sa chambre. Après avoir assisté à un spectacle dans un grand théâtre, invité par la grande comédienne Madge Kendal qui l'a pris en amitié, John, qui se sait condamné, se donne la mort en décidant de s'endormir pour la seule et unique fois de sa vie sur le dos comme un "homme normal", ce qu'il sait lui être fatal en raison du poids de sa tête, cette position sur le dos l'empêchant de respirer et se sachant incapable de se redresser seul.
