Dean Paul Martin (born Dino Paul Crocetti; June 7, 1917 – December 25, 1995) was an American singer, actor, comedian, and film producer.
One of the most popular and enduring American entertainers of the mid-20th century, Martin was nicknamed the "King of Cool" for his seemingly effortless charisma and self-assurance. He and Jerry Lewis were partners in the immensely popular comedy team "Martin and Lewis". He was a member of the "Rat Pack" and a star in concert stage/nightclubs, recordings, motion pictures, and television. He was the host of the television variety program The Dean Martin Show (1965–1974) and The Dean Martin Celebrity Roast (1974–1985).
Martin's relaxed, warbling crooning voice earned him dozens of hit singles including his signature songs "Memories Are Made of This", "That's Amore", "Everybody Loves Somebody", "You're Nobody till Somebody Loves You", "Sway", "Volare", and "Ain't That a Kick in the Head?".
Martin was born on June 7, 1917 in Steubenville, Ohio, to an Italian father, Gaetano Alfonso Crocetti (1894–1967), and an Italian-American mother, Angela Crocetti (née Barra; 1899–1966). They were married in 1914. His father, who was a barber, was originally from Montesilvano, in Abruzzo, and his maternal grandparents' origins are believed to be also from Abruzzo even if it is not clearly known. Martin had an older brother named William Alfonso Crocetti (1916-1968). Martin's first language was an Abruzzese dialect of Italian, and he did not speak English until he started school at the age of 5. He attended Grant Elementary School in Steubenville where he was bullied for his broken English. He later took up the drums as a hobby as a teenager. Martin then dropped out of Steubenville High School in the 10th grade because he thought he was smarter than his teachers. He bootlegged liquor, served as a speakeasy croupier, was a blackjack dealer, worked in a steel mill and boxed as a welterweight.
A kick is a physical strike using the foot, leg, or knee (the latter is also known as a knee strike). This type of attack is used frequently by hooved animals as well as humans in the context of stand-up fighting. Kicks play a significant role in many forms of martial arts, such as savate, Combat Hopak, taekwondo, sikaran, karate, Pankration, Kung fu, Vovinam, kickboxing, Muay Thai, capoeira, silat, and kalaripayattu.
Kicking is also prominent from its use in many sports, especially those called football. The best known of these sports is association football, also known as soccer.
The English verb to kick appears only in the late 14th century, apparently as a loan from Old Norse, originally in the sense of a hooved animal delivering strikes with his hind legs; the oldest use is Biblical.
Kicks as an act of human aggression have likely existed worldwide since prehistory. However, high kicks, aiming above the waist or to the head appear to have originated from Asian martial arts. Such kicks were introduced to the west in the 19th century with early hybrid martial arts inspired by Asian styles such as Bartitsu and Savate. Practice of high kicks became more universal in the second half of the 20th century with the more widespread development of hybrid styles such as kickboxing and eventually mixed martial arts.
A head is the part of an organism, which usually comprises the eyes, ears, nose and mouth, each of which aid in various sensory functions, such as sight, hearing, smell, and taste. Some very simple animals may not have a head, but many bilaterally symmetric forms do. Heads develop in animals by an evolutionary trend known as cephalization. In bilaterally symmetrical animals, nervous tissues concentrate at the anterior region, forming structures responsible for information processing. Through biological evolution, sense organs and feeding structures also concentrate into the anterior region; these collectively form the head.
The human head is an anatomical unit that consists of the skull, hyoid bone and cervical vertebrae. The term "skull" collectively denotes the mandible (lower jaw bone) and the cranium (upper portion of the skull that houses the brain). The skull can also be described as being composed of the cranium, which encloses the cranial cavity, and the facial skeleton (includes the mandible). There are eight bones in the cranium and fourteen in the facial skeleton.
The Head began as an ongoing series that originally ran under the title MTV's Oddities, on MTV. It has begun airing on MTV2 in August 2009. It was released on DVD on December 15, 2009.
Created by Eric Fogel, The Head is the story of Jim, a trade-school student in New York City who awakens one morning to find that his cranium has enlarged to mammoth proportions. A week later, out bursts Roy, a little purple alien with an odd sense of humor who has taken up residence in Jim's head. Roy needed a place to stay to adapt to the Earth's environment while on a mission to save the world from a power-hungry alien named Gork. Roy explains that there are two races of symbiotic aliens: his own, which is mutualistic; and Gork's, which is parasitic. Aiding Jim and Roy are Jim's girlfriend, Madelyn; his personal physician, Dr. Richard Axel; and a group of "human anomalies." The group consists of Ray, a landscaper who has a lawnmower blade lodged in his skull; Mona, a beautiful young woman with a short tail; Ivan, a Russian who has a mouth in his chest; Raquel, who has an enormous nose and buckteeth; Earl, who has a fishbowl in his mouth; Chin, a long-limbed former freak show performer from China; and the annoyingly normal head of the group, Shane Blackman. The theme of the story is to reinforce the value of diversity, tolerance, acceptance of differences, and working together to solve problems.

From the original 1960's Ocean's Eleven. Lyrics: How lucky can one guy be; I kissed her and she kissed me Like the fella once said, Ain't that a kick in the head? The room was completely black I hugged her and she hugged back. Like the sailor said, quote, "Ain't that a hole in the boat?" My head keeps spinning; I go to sleep and keep grinning; If this is just the beginning, My life's gonna be beautiful. I've sun- shine enough to spread; It's like the fella said, "Tell me quick Ain't love like a kick in the head?" Like the fella once said, Ain't that a kick in the head? Like the sailor said, quote, "Ain't that a hole in the boat?" My head keeps spinning; I go to sleep and keep grinning; If this is just the beginning, My life's gonna be beautiful. She's ...

This was shortly after Dino's Friar's Club Testimonial Dinner - Roast in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel Basildon Room September 13th 1984. It aired on or about Nov 15, 1984, i think it was a 3 part over 3 days and this is most of it. Correct me if i'm wrong. Quality is terrible but it's a miracle that i didn't throw this away, it was a close one, If there is a better version out there please link me to it.

How lucky can one guy be, I kissed her and she kissed me, like the fella once said, ain't that a kick in the head. I bob and weave keep an ace up my sleeve Somebody open up a window in this joint, I can't breath Got a permanent bar stool down at the Can't Care Lounge Honey here's the chips, Lay em down I get drownded in the beautiful sounds that the cash register makes When I get my take it's like dinner at the White House with good booze and plates of potatoes and steaks Never punch a guy with a nice wrist watch on Honey let's take a ride in my Cadillac And put the sex back in the car where it belongsLook at chump change over hear. Only puttin a hundred down on the bout, I'll put a thousand down, now lets go ta town or will that tap you out I get scared I might get picked up for vagrancy Make a move kid I get sick of your habbadashery. I got girls at the hotel upstairs Waiting for me My first name's Jimmy My last name's Luxury I'm lucky as a rummy Getting locked in a distillery I got a slot machine arm, a hundred proof wink And a million dollar smile full of charm.
