Plot: Marty Lane is a serious film maker, but after a string of film and TV flops, no production companies will take him seriously ever again. Instead they only want him to remake "The Future Kids", his hit 9O's children's Sci-Fi TV show. Marty sinks into a depression and only Robyn, a daughter of an old friend and colleague, is able to encourage him to keep trying. However, after yet another film project gets rejected, a chance meeting with his old Production Assistant on Future Kids, Ed, sets him on a path he thought he didn't want to tread, and Marty discovers a project he never knew he started.

Plot: Two contestants (first a female followed by a male) have to pick one out of fifty people for a date. They first sit at a chair with a large mirror behind so that they won't see the fifty people and choose from a big board what qualities (i.e. eyes, hair, height, etc.) their date should have. Then in the second round, the contestant asked the remaining amount of people (about seven) from the first round to do something that could be considered embarrassing. In the final round, the remainder of the fifty people (three this time) need to answer questions in order to take one step closer to their potential date.

Plot: A touring variety troupe, the "Dinky Doos" are in financial trouble. An encounter with three strangers - Inigo Jollifant (a romantic, song-writing ex-schoolmaster), Miss Trant (a philanthropic spinster in search of adventure), and Jess Oakroyd (a down to earth, practical man recently made redundant from his job) leads to a change of fortune. Re-launched with Miss Trant's money, they tour England, at first with little success. Inigo falls in love with the troupe's talented and pretty young girl singer, Susie Dean. The troupe is threatened with disharmony, but, due to Inigo's intervention, and the marriage of the principal dancer (Jerry Jerningham) to Lady Parlitt (whose family "own a chain of theatres"), all turns out well for Susie by the end, when she triumphs in a lavish London revue, with the other members of "The Good Companions" in the audience, cheering her triumph.
