SBRC's second holiday to Springhill Farm Riding Stables nr Oswestry, Shropshire. Absolutely brilliant location which we highly recommend for any of you wanting to go on riding holiday - great people, ponies and places to ride. The views are absolutely stunning and we were lucky with the weather so the going was spot-on too!

Fantastic few days away with my family and friends in Portballintrae, Northern Ireland. Absolutely brilliant place with great views and tourist locations.
All footage was shot with my iPhone 6 Plus, all hand held and straight out of the phone with no colouring in post. The iPhone 6 can shoot at 60fps @ 1080p which allowed me to introduce half speed slo mo shots.
Still amazed by the quality of smartphone cameras nowadays which make these memories possible.

Kee and the New Life Choir. This young man's voice is just majestic, and unlike anything you've ever heard before. Holiday
A holiday is a day set aside by custom or by law on which normal activities, especially business or work, are suspended or reduced. Wonderful 2 week holiday in Nepal, September 2012, joining my friend Lula who has worked there for two years for VSO and is fluent in the language. This was absolutely the best way to get a glimpse of the country off the tourist route !! Hello & Welcome to a Harnetty Railway Special. Coming up We travel on West Coast Railways most popular railtour The Jacobite running from Fort William to Mallaig and back. The locomotive given the honors was Ian Riley's black 5 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier. This was the 3rd different locomotive I have had haulage behind on the famous route made famous for Michael Portillio's Great British Railway Journeys and Harry Potter film series. This was the 1st time i had been on a west coast tour since there suspension was lifted back in May 2015 but its fantastic to see them running again. We start at Fort William as 45407 simmers in the station waiting for the 10.14am departure which gave me the chances to have a gd close up look of 45407. Hello & Welcome to a Harnetty Railway Special.
Coming up
We travel on West Coast Railways most popular railtour The Jacobite running from Fort William to Mallaig and back.
The locomotive given the honors was Ian Riley's black 5 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier.
This was the 3rd different locomotive I have had haulage behind on the famous route made famous for Michael Portillio's Great British Railway Journeys and Harry Potter film series.
This was the 1st time i had been on a west coast tour since there suspension was lifted back in May 2015 but its fantastic to see them running again.
We start at Fort William as 45407 simmers in the station waiting for the 10.14am departure which gave me the chances to have a gd close up look of 45407.
Soon it was time to go and we departed Fort William with Ian Riley in charge driving his own machine.
45407 put in a marvelous performance through out the run soon passing over the famous structure on the line Glenfinnan viaduct as 45047 whistles over the viaduct before arriving into the station.
After a little wait to allow the passenger service we were on the move again and boy 45407 worked magnificently all the way to the end of the line at the harbour resort of Mallaig.
There was a 2 hour layover were we see 45407 being serviced and shunting ready for the return run.
Then the heavens opened as we departed for the return run back to Fort William.
During the journey back we see the arrival of Ian Riley's other black 5 the 1T57 Icon on 1968 44871 working the afternoon Jacobite at Glenfinnan.
Shortly back on the move for the final stretch back to Fort William were the jacobite terminated after a round trip of 88 miles.
We finish see 45407 run round his train ready to take the empty stock back to Fort William yard.
To sum up
It was absolutely brilliant day getting haulage behind 45407 for the 3rd time this season and completing the set of getting behind the locos allocated for these famous runs 62005 Lord of The Isles twice in 2013, 44871 in 2014 and now 45407 in 2015.
I was very lucky weather wise as it was dry at the perfect time while 45407 was going smoke box first during the outward run.
As i said earlier a absolutely brilliant day on The Jacobite.
