The young director had to assemble his cut from the copy that was with Prasad Labs. Looks like a great loss for film enthusiasts but however Vijay Kumar is busy scripting his next and the only info he parts about it is that it will be a hit movie

Pugazh (Vijay) is an IITian and Oxford alumnus with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. With the help of his friend, Inspector Joseph (Manoj K. Jayan), he succeeds in tracking down a wanted criminal Raaka (Adithya), and kills him. The scene then shifts to a village, where Pugazh is attending the wedding of a Tahsildar's daughter. He meets Janavi (Nayantara), a friend of the bride, and instantly falls in love with her. After persistent wooing, he succeeds in winning her heart.
Janavi takes Pugazh to Munich to introduce him to her father J. D. (Prakash Raj), who is a wealthy businessman and arms smuggler. During his stay in Munich, he encounters J. D.'s gang, consisting of Shaan (Devaraj), a hotel pimp Max (Sriman) and another henchman (Anandaraj). After initial confrontations with the three of them, he evolves his own plans and starts eliminating them one after another. His remaining target is J. D.. Janavi soon finds out that Pugazh is plotting to kill her father and warns Pugazh's mother (Geetha) about her son. On the contrary, Pugazh's mother not only knows and supports what Pugazh is doing, she also reveals that she is not his real "mother" and tells her why Pugazh is after her father.
Pugazh's father was Major Saravanan (Vijay), a patriotic Indian Army officer. During a peacekeeping mission, he noticed J. D., Shaan, Raaka and their two henchmen, who were then army officers working in his team, accepting money from terrorists in exchange for allowing them to carry out their activities. When he confronted them, they killed him and fabricated a story claiming that since he accepted money from terrorists to help them, they killed him considering the safety of the other soldiers and themselves. He was stripped posthumously of all his titles, honours and badges. During his funeral, his family, comprising his widow (Ranjitha) and a young Pugazh, were humiliated by J. D. and the villagers and were banished from their village. The villagers also barred Pugazh from performing the last rites of his father and threw the dead body into a ditch. Pugazh's mother sends Pugazh away with Shaan's estranged wife (who is the adopted "mother") as she did not want him to grow up carrying the stigma of being the son of a disgraced army officer.
In the present day, J. D. takes Pugazh to India to retrieve a Blu-Ray disc containing all of J. D.'s secret information, which Pugazh had earlier received from Shaan and given to Joseph. Pugazh soon finds out that Raaka is not dead and has kidnapped Joseph. Pugazh manages to flee from J. D.'s and Raaka's clutches and after a thrilling chase, reaches an abandoned temple outside his village where he reunites with his long-lost mother, who had been living there since being banished from the village. J. D., Raaka and their henchmen soon arrive there, kill Joseph and injure Pugazh. Undaunted, Pugazh kills Raaka and fights bravely with J. D., weakening him. With all the villagers assembled around the abandoned temple, Pugazh forces J. D. to reveal the truth about Saravanan to them. After his confession, Pugazh kills him.
In the end, with the truth about Saravanan finally revealed, the army reinstates his titles, honours and badges, and returns his army badge and uniform to his widow.

Plot: India has finally won independence from British rule, and there are signs of progress among the population. One such sign of progress is in the village where two childhood sweethearts, namely Jeet and Vijay live. Vijay lives with his mom and brother Ratan. Ratan, who lives abroad, returns home to India, with all new ideas of progress and advancement. This is not met well with some of the villagers, including Jeet and Vijay themselves. Ratan overhears a conversation that Vijay is not his real brother, and asks Vijay to leave the house, despite of his mother's protests. Self-respecting Vijay leaves the house, and Ratan plans to marry Jeet, and schemes with some villagers that will revolutionize his plans for progress, and make Vijay the culprit.

Pugazh (Vijay) is an IITian and Oxford alumnus with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. With the help of his friend, Inspector Joseph (Manoj K. Jayan), he succeeds in tracking down a wanted criminal Raaka (Adithya), and kills him. The scene then shifts to a village, where Pugazh is attending the wedding of a Tahsildar's daughter. He meets Janavi (Nayantara), a friend of the bride, and instantly falls in love with her. After persistent wooing, he succeeds in winning her heart.
Janavi takes Pugazh to Munich to introduce him to her father J. D. (Prakash Raj), who is a wealthy businessman and arms smuggler. During his stay in Munich, he encounters J. D.'s gang, consisting of Shaan (Devaraj), a hotel pimp Max (Sriman) and another henchman (Anandaraj). After initial confrontations with the three of them, he evolves his own plans and starts eliminating them one after another. His remaining target is J. D.. Janavi soon finds out that Pugazh is plotting to kill her father and warns Pugazh's mother (Geetha) about her son. On the contrary, Pugazh's mother not only knows and supports what Pugazh is doing, she also reveals that she is not his real "mother" and tells her why Pugazh is after her father.
Pugazh's father was Major Saravanan (Vijay), a patriotic Indian Army officer. During a peacekeeping mission, he noticed J. D., Shaan, Raaka and their two henchmen, who were then army officers working in his team, accepting money from terrorists in exchange for allowing them to carry out their activities. When he confronted them, they killed him and fabricated a story claiming that since he accepted money from terrorists to help them, they killed him considering the safety of the other soldiers and themselves. He was stripped posthumously of all his titles, honours and badges. During his funeral, his family, comprising his widow (Ranjitha) and a young Pugazh, were humiliated by J. D. and the villagers and were banished from their village. The villagers also barred Pugazh from performing the last rites of his father and threw the dead body into a ditch. Pugazh's mother sends Pugazh away with Shaan's estranged wife (who is the adopted "mother") as she did not want him to grow up carrying the stigma of being the son of a disgraced army officer.
In the present day, J. D. takes Pugazh to India to retrieve a Blu-Ray disc containing all of J. D.'s secret information, which Pugazh had earlier received from Shaan and given to Joseph. Pugazh soon finds out that Raaka is not dead and has kidnapped Joseph. Pugazh manages to flee from J. D.'s and Raaka's clutches and after a thrilling chase, reaches an abandoned temple outside his village where he reunites with his long-lost mother, who had been living there since being banished from the village. J. D., Raaka and their henchmen soon arrive there, kill Joseph and injure Pugazh. Undaunted, Pugazh kills Raaka and fights bravely with J. D., weakening him. With all the villagers assembled around the abandoned temple, Pugazh forces J. D. to reveal the truth about Saravanan to them. After his confession, Pugazh kills him.
In the end, with the truth about Saravanan finally revealed, the army reinstates his titles, honours and badges, and returns his army badge and uniform to his widow.

Synopsis: Vijay (Vijay) is a rich young business man, whose only one aim in life is to have fun, is the managing director of a big tea estate in Ooty and his company goes on a big loss because of his mismanagement. Vijay spends most of his time in partying and flirting with girls whenever he feels like. To manage the loss to his company, Vijay invites his father Rajasekar (who is in the United States) to come to India to sign some documents. As fate would have it, Vijay's father dies in a plane crash on his way to India. His maternal uncle (Manivannan) comes up with the idea of having another elderly person to act as Vijay's father for a while until the documents are signed. So they visit a senior home, where they meet Selvam (Sivaji Ganesan) and they request him to act as Vijay's father. He agrees to it and starts to act as Vijay's father.
Selvam observes the careless, take-it-easy life style of Vijay and is reminded of his old days when he used to be like Vijay (movie clips from an old Sivaji film Iruvar Ullam come to help). Selvam is very affectionate towards Vijay and he considers him as his son. Vijay finds out about Selvam's past life, that Selvam was married to Shantha (Saroja Devi) and they have been living separated for the past 30 years. He wants them to get united and he searches and finds the whereabouts of Shantha. Meanwhile, Kavitha (Simran) joins Vijay's company and she talks to Vijay in his own style. Vijay is knocked out by Kavitha's beauty and he falls in love with her. Then, their love gets into trouble because of Kavitha's mother. Now, Vijay tries to unite Selvam and Shantha. In return Selvam tries to unite Vijay and Kavitha. Will Selvam and Shantha meet and get married 'Once More'.

During his childhood, Vijay performed in a number of minor roles with Vijayakanth directed by his father. He debuted as a lead role actor in the 1992 film Naalaya Theerpu, produced by his father and then co-starred with Vijayakanth in his second film Sendhoorapandi. He had lead roles in films like Rasigan, Deva, and Rajavin Parvaiyile where he co-starred with another actor Ajith Kumar, who played supporting roles. He then acted in the romantic comedy Vishnu and romantic tragedy Chandralekha later. In early 1995, he starred in Coimbatore Mappillai a romantic comedy film.

Vijay's performance in the film was praised by critics, including by leading Indian actor Kamal Haasan. Nanban went on to complete 100 days theatrical run. He made a special appearance in the 2012 Bollywood film Rowdy Rathore starring Akshay Kumar, directed by Prabhu Deva.

The movie story deals with Maru Dheeran a meek child brought up in an enslaved village coming under the oppressive rule of the blue-eyed monstrous 'Vedalam' group who burden the people with enormous taxes and kill on whim. When his wife is kidnapped for sacrifice by the Vedalam Queen & her commander in-chief, Maru Dheeran takes a journey to their impenetrable fort in order to retrieve her and put an end to the tyranny.

Synopsis - Vishwanathan is a multi-millionaire industrialist, who lives in a palatial house, with his only child, a son named Vijay. Vijay has been born with a silver spoon and indulges in life's temptations and weaknesses to the extreme. Vishwanath would like his son to get married and be responsible. Vijay agrees to get married on condition a kind of a test drive! His condition is that his future bride should sign an agreement that the marriage is on a trial basis for one year and, thereafter, if Vijay does not fall in love with her, the marriage gets annulled.
Vishwanathan asks his personal assistant, Priya, to quit her job and marry Vijay, but Priya refuses initially. Priya comes from a poor family, consisting of her mom, two sisters, and one brother. Priya reconsiders this offer and asks for financial support for her mom and siblings, to which Vishwanath agrees happily. Vijay and Priya are married. After the marriage, Vijay and Priya do become friends, and Priya goes out of her way to look after Vijay when he meets with an accident. At the end of the year, however, Vijay decides to annul the marriage, as had been agreed upon. Priya leaves Vijay and returns home heavy heartedly. Complications arise when Priya gets pregnant, and her family and people in the community start to question her living with her mom and who the biological father is. Vijay seems to be enjoying himself but slowly and eventually he starts to feel a longing for Priya and her staunch devotion to him.
