David Ortiz does what we have all come to expect from him, and hits one of the most clutch home runs in recent Red Sox history to tie game 2 of the 2013 ALCS at 5. This video is the call of the home run, first by Joe Buck and Tim McCarver on Fox, followed by the local Boston radio affiliate, WEEI, then finally by the local Detroit radio affiliate, WXYT. I claim no ownership of this video. The contents of the video are owned exclusively by Major League Baseball, FOX Sports, WEEI, and WXYT. The video is being used under the notion of "Fair Use." The video will serve as an educational piece for those aspiring to be sports broadcasters, outlining the difference in ways "Calls" are made, depending upon their respective media market.
