Jon Stephen Cleary (22 November 1917 – 19 July 2010) was an Australian writer and novelist. He wrote numerous books, including The Sundowners (1951), a portrait of a rural family in the 1920s as they move from one job to the next, and The High Commissioner (1966), the first of a long series of popular detective fiction works featuring Sydney Police Inspector Scobie Malone. A number of Cleary's works have been the subject of film and television adaptations.
Cleary was born in Erskineville, Sydney and educated at Marist Brothers College, Randwick. When he was ten his father spent six months in Long Bay Gaol for stealing five pounds. Debt collectors took everything in the Cleary household "except a piano and my mother's double bed", said Cleary. "I remember sitting on the steps with Mum, who was weeping bitterly, and she said, 'Don't ever owe anything to anybody.' That sticks with you, and it's why I gained a justifiable reputation for being tight with money." However he added that "the night after we were repossessed, our friends turned up with chairs, an old table, cakes, sandwiches – they were all battlers but they helped out."
Cleary may refer to:
The maple leaf is the characteristic leaf of the maple tree, and is the most widely recognized national symbol of Canada.
At the beginning of the eighteenth century, the settlements located in New France had attained a population of about 18,000. By this time, the maple leaf had been adopted as an emblem by the French Canadians along the Saint Lawrence River.
Its popularity with French Canadians continued and was reinforced when, at the inaugural meeting of the Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste in 1834, the maple leaf was one of numerous emblems proposed to represent the society. Speaking in its favour, Jacques Viger, the first mayor of Montreal, described the maple as "the king of our forest; ... the symbol of the Canadian people."
The maple leaf slowly caught on as a national symbol: in 1868, it was included in the coat of arms of both Ontario and Quebec, and was added to the Canadian coat of arms in 1921. Historically, the golden maple leaf had represented Ontario, while the green maple leaf had represented Quebec. In 1867, Alexander Muir composed the patriotic "The Maple Leaf Forever", which became an unofficial anthem in English-speaking Canada. From 1876 until 1901, the leaf appeared on all Canadian coins, and remained on the penny after 1901. During the First World War, badges of the Canadian Expeditionary Force were often based on a maple leaf design. The use of the maple leaf as a regimental symbol extended back to the 1800s, and Canadian soldiers in the Second Boer War were distinguished by a maple leaf on their sun helmets.
Jon Cleary (born August 11, 1962) is a funk and R&B musician based in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was originally from Cranbrook in Kent, England, and has studied for the past 20 years the "musical culture and life of New Orleans," according to his website. Cleary is an accomplished pianist as well as being a multi-instrumentalist, a vocalist and a song-writer.
Jon Cleary performs with a number of music luminaries including Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Ryan Adams, and Eric Burdon. Compositions by Cleary have been recorded by notable musicians including Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt and most recently John Scofield on his album, Piety Street.
Cleary's current band is Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen, who have two current albums. Cleary has three solo albums.
Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen consist of Cleary on keyboard and vocals; Derwin"Big D" Perkins (born 1974) on guitar; Cornell C. Williams (born 1962) on bass and backup vocals; and Jellybean on drums. All of the band members, except for Cleary, were born in New Orleans.
In religious philosophy, the Absolute is the concept of (a form of) Being which transcends limited, conditional, everyday existence. The manifestation of the Absolute has been described as the Logos, Word, the Ṛta or Ratio (Latin for "reason").
Related concepts are the Source, Fountain or Well, the Centre, the Monad or One, the All or Whole, the Origin (Arche) or Principle or Primordial Cause, the Sacred or Holy or Utterly Other (Otto), the Form of the Good (Plato), the Mystery, Nirvana, the Ultimate, the Ground or Urground ("Original Ground").
It is sometimes used as an alternate term for the more commonly used God of the Universe, the Divine or the Supreme Being ("Utmost Being"), especially, but by no means exclusively, to express it in less personal and more impersonal representations. The concept of the Absolute may or may not (depending on one's specific doctrine) possess discrete will, intelligence, awareness, or a personal nature. It is sometimes conceived of as the source through which all being emanates. It contrasts with finite things, considered individually, and known collectively as the relative. This is reflected in the name's Latin etymology absolūtus which means "loosened from" or "unattached" (from a subject-object dualism).

Another HOT Jon Cleary performance live from The Basement night club in Sydney Australia. I recorded Jon for the LIve At The Basement TV series after see him play there in 2007. I told him, his show was some of the best fun I've had standing up. Those of you who've seen Jon live, will know what I mean. The song 'When You Get Back' was written by Jon about a girlfriend he was to meet-up with in New York - she didn't turn up.

Sorry, but lying and posting up in subliminal text will never get Passed,
We clearly can see your more ass than 100 pages of the Playboy Mag.
But that's irrelevant, I could just post a few bars that question Intelligence,
'cause your mind is absent of good flow like Black children and Negligence,
And this is the Contestant, A Newbie, Gran Thef trying get a Reference,
You in the Mix with Killer but this shit don't help fags with a Sexual preference,
This is only development, shedding the extra weight like dietary supplements,
Like when Killer and Hitler murdered Mil.s when we controlled the Nazis Government,
Gran Thef, no petty thef, your inferior, could not steal a caravan with that Criteria,
You could hold hostage a Morgue and fail at capturing cases of Malaria,
I see a pussy, Damn tasty and eatable, no lie I enjoy the Aroma,
Nobody matched my persona, I got crazy prices, get you half off a rental Coma...
Or the specialty for Gran Thef, a Flight Jacket with a reversal zip up Body Bag...
A John Doe tag, and a mummified pipe broken off in his Ass,
If it happens that me Killer happens to win this battle, prepare for Violence,
'cause the whole forum will join forces against me Killer vs the Gay Alliance,
Gran thef is all glory, with his fabricated stories, I depicted he's not Villain,
Go head a lose your mind, you ain't crazy just a little hazy from popping P enicillin,
Fuck you and your momz, but mostly your moms and her salivary Glands,
