NASW: Reschedules Special Meeting of the Members

NASW has rescheduled a special meeting of the members to be held virtually, Aug. 25 at 3 p.m. ET. To register, please email specalmeeting@naswdc.org by July 29. Some members had petitioned for a special meeting to change the association's modernization initiative, but members do not have authority to change a board-adopted initiative. Instead, the meeting's purpose will be to hear members' thoughts and questions about the initiative. Information on the modernization initiative is available at socialworkers.organd elsewhere in this issue.

NASW urges social workers to vote

The National Association of Social Workers has a tool on our web site that helps people find their candidates and connects them to the agency in their jurisdiction to register to vote. Each state, the District of Columbia and territories have different rules around voter registration. NASW encourages all social workers to register and vote. As the 2016 election approaches, we will be endorsing candidates for election. As a member, you can socialworkers.org view our past endorsements.
