Looks like the actor is getting paid the lumpsome fee he demanded from Mrs Kumar!
One of the busiest actors in Bollywood today, Akshay Kumar continues to hold that tag and sign new films. He has been taking up new projects back to back and is clearly in no mood to take it slow. The actor has already had two releases in this year and is gearing up for his third release, Rustom that co-star Ileana D’Cruz, Arjan Bajwa and Esha Gupta. With so many projects already delivered in the first half, the actor also recently signed the sequel of Jolly LLB as he replaces Arshad Warsi. There were reports that he was approached by director Divya Khosla Kumar to act in her third film as well.
Although, there were reports that the actor was charging a whopping amount for the same and it wasn’t feasible for Divya to give in that much, looks like she signed him at the end of the day! After completing the first schedule of Jolly LLB2, Akshay will start shooting for Divya Khosla’s untitled next from September. It’s a romcom written by Divya herself. She has earlier directed Yaariyan and Sanam Re, but now this will be her first film with an A-lister. Akshay, we hear, has charged a whopping amount for it. Divya was his co-star in Anil Sharma’s Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon (2004).
