Jesse is an American sitcom which ran on NBC from September 1998 to May 2000. The show was created by Ira Ungerleider.
The show stars Christina Applegate as single mother Jesse Warner, raising her nine-year-old son, Little John, in Buffalo, New York. She works for her overbearing father in a German-themed bar, serving beer while wearing a dirndl. Jesse's love interest, a Chilean named Diego (Bruno Campos), gains a rival when her ex-husband comes to town, intent on winning her back.
In the second season, Jesse becomes a nurse and stories revolve around her friends instead of her family.
While Jesse was in the top 20 in the Nielsen ratings regularly, the show lost much ground to Friends, its powerful lead-in. As a result, NBC decided to cancel the show after its second season. A total of 42 episodes were produced.

On October 13, Finochio, now using the ring name Trinity, defeated Simply Luscious to win her first professional wrestling match. On October 26, Finochio made her Chikara debut under the ring name Stephanie Starr, where she lost to Mercedes Martinez. On November 1, Trinity lost to Luscious in a rematch. Plot: On the surface it seems that everything is fine with Calvin. He's your average twenty-one-year-old who hangs out with his friends and goes out looking for girls. However, beneath the surface, Calvin still hasn't learned how to deal with his father's death, or even muster the courage to move out of his mother's house, and his only means of dealing with any of this is by drinking. Forced to see a "life specialist," Calvin remains steadfast in his ways until the one thing comes along that makes him want to change for the better: a beautiful girl.

Plot: Separated from her incarcerated husband Bill (Hinds), Trish (Janney) is about to be married again. Bill is a pedophile, so Trish couldn't be more excited to have Harvey (Lerner), a "normal" father figure for her two sons. But when Bill is released from prison and the boys finally meet their future stepdad, the family is forced to decide whether to forgive or to forget. Trish's sister, the virginal, angelic Joy (Henderson), is also haunted by ghosts of lovers past. On leave from her degenerate husband, Allen (Williams), and her job at a New Jersey correctional facility, Joy unwittingly leaves behind a trail of shame and exposed secrets wherever she goes. In one of the film's most stylized sequences, the image of Joy walking the dark streets of Miami in her nightgown maintains her innocence against a backdrop of self-affliction and desire.

Plot: When Marla receives a call that her Aunt Helen is ill, Marla decides to take a break from her redundant city life and head to the small town of North Lake to help her out. There, she meets Jesse Collins. After dating for a while, Marla begins to recognize Jesse's playboy reputation. Coupled with the interference of vindictive mean girl Cora (who is an ex-girlfriend of Jesse's), Marla puts a permanent hold on things. Jesse then tries to convince Marla that she's wrong about him and he only has good intentions towards her, so he throws out a desperate plea by giving her names of his ex-girlfriends as references. Attempting to clear his name, Marla now finds herself playing detective to find out "the real" Jesse. It is this unique plea that takes the story into a twist of emotional ups & downs... and a second guessing of intentions by all involved. After all is done, this town with "no strangers" will be changed forever. With its memorable soundtrack and unforgettable montages, this film guarantees to make you feel as though you live in North Lake yourself.

Delia is a spirited, working-class woman from a small town in New York who leaves her abusive husband and sets out on a journey to reclaim the power she has lost. Greta is a sharp, spunky editor who is rotten with ambition. To spite the hated infidel ways of her father, she has settled into a complacent relationship and is struggling (not too hard) with issues of fidelity to her kind but unexciting husband. Finally Paula, who ran away from home and got pregnant, is now in a relationship she doesn't want. She's a troubled young woman who takes off on a journey with a hitchhiker after a strange, fateful encounter on a New York street.

I can't hold out another day.
I hope you can take it said that way.

Just another beep on the message machine.
Said I feel so guilty,
I think it's time that I come clean.
I thought I knew better.
I thought I had chosen the proper words to say.
I wanted to be so honest.
Tell you a story you've never heard,
Now that I finally got the nerve.
I wanna fuck you, Tipper.
I wanna fuck you, Tipper.
'Cause you showed me that
Things are still the same.

But he couldn't make out a word she said.
She was alone and frightened.
She was wishing she was dead.
She knew it was hopeless.

Still she called his name out
In a voice that was loud and clear.
She said I know it sounds so weird,
But I wanna fuck you, Johnny.

I wanna hold you down
And fuck you while you squirm
And force you to bring that thing to term.
