In this new video tour, New York Habitat ( http://www.nyhabitat.com ) presents you a great way to learn about Central Harlem and West Harlem, the historic neighborhood in New York City! You will learn many lesser-known aspects of the fabulous neighborhood just a short subway ride away from midtown and downtown Manhattan.

Harlem is a large, historical area in northern Manhattan. It's a major residential, cultural and business center. It stretches from the East River west to the Hudson River between 155th Street to the north and 110th Street to the south, which is the northern boundary of Central Park.
Harlem is so large, in fact, that it would be impossible to cover in just one video. So instead, our first stop in our Harlem series will be Central Harlem & West Harlem!
Harlem History:
Harlem was originally a Dutch village founded around 1658. It was named after the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands. In the early 20th century many African Americans moved to this area and in the 1920s and 30s many famous artists, musicians and businessmen became well known in Harlem and took Black culture to a higher level, in a movement known as the Harlem Renaissance.
The Studio Museum of Harlem -- 124 West 125th Street
At The Studio Museum of Harlem, there is more about black history including guided tours, readings and exhibitions of African American art and culture. There is a suggested donation for entry.
The Apollo Theater - 253 West 125th Street
The Apollo Theater is one of the most famous and historic music hall in the U.S. This famous club is almost exclusively associated with African American music and performance. During the Harlem Renaissance and specifically in 1934, the Apollo Theater introduced its regular Amateur Night shows, during which many new stars were born and legends were made. In fact the Apollo launched the careers of famous artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, James Brown, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey...just to name a few. During amateur night, the audience would clap to approve the performers they liked and "boo" the performers they weren't too excited about. At that point an "executioner", a man with a broom, would sweep the bad performers off the stage. Even today, every Wednesday is Amateur Night at the Apollo.

Shopping in Harlem -- 125th Street
125th Street runs from east to west and is considered the Main Street of Harlem. Since 2001 many sections of the street have been developed with new stores, such as Old Navy, H&M;, Starbucks Coffee and the famous Magic Johnson Theaters, a chain of movie theaters, developed by the famous African American basketball player, Magic Johnson. So you can definitely spend a fun day.

If you are planning a trip to New York, you should definitely consider Harlem as a home base. It's just a short subway ride away from midtown and downtown Manhattan and furnished apartment rentals are generally less expensive in Harlem than other areas of Manhattan. Most journeys begin at Penn Station or Grand Central, and if you arrive at the later you'll be wowed by the building. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town.
You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface.
And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Take a tour of National Theatre of Sofia in Bulgaria -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.
The National Theatre of Sofia, also known by many as 'Ivan Vazov National Theatre' is an exceptional Bulgarian cultural landmark.
This, the oldest and the most distinguished theater in Bulgaria, was first opened in 1907.
The primary facade of the building is adorned with works of beautiful Apollo sculpted with her muses.
Built in Neo-classical style architecture, with beautiful reliefs, gold plated details, and embellishments, this building is truly awe-inspiring.
Having faced considerable damage during a bombing raid in World War Two, the theater was almost immediately reconstructed in 1945, a testament to its importance to Bulgaria.
Bronze statues amid the reflecting fountain in front of the building only add to the charm and charisma of this illustrious theater.

Here are some Things to do in NYC :) This 1st of a "Things to do in NYC" is the BASICS. I will do more in depth videos on neighborhoods like Harlem, Brooklyn, Lower East Side which will include shopping, entertainment, eating, all that :) But for now I hope you find this helpful and excited about exploring NYC. Summer in NYC isn't really summer until you get your butt on a rooftop. My pick was Jimmy Rooftop. Sunday's after 3pm are bomb! Amazing music courtesy of DJ Cato. I believe it is doorman discretion, which means, dress your best and don't travel with a bunch of dudes. You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. I chose this spot because I used to work here and loved it!

Yes! Go to Church! After you party it up Saturday night or Sunday afternoon bring your sinful behind to this awesome church! You don't have to be religious to attend. This is a non-denominal church and people from all over the world come here for the amazing sermons and not to mention the interior. This Church is a converted theatre and a must see. The southern coat of the Ireland is a les visited part of Sicily. Only Modica and Ragusa are worth mentioning. The latter is the departure point of trips towards the inner parts of the island. Leguse is the capital of the southeast and the county seat. Only the upper Ragusa built on the site of the Greek Hybla Heraea., and the medieval city built adjacent to it are interesting for tourists. Lower Ragusa is a center of asphalt and oil-mining. It's a modern industrial city with all its disadvantages.
The picturesque Baroque of the city has such monuments as a San Giorgio Church or the Santa Maria delle Scale Church dating back to the 15th century or the Pro Patria monument. In his famous work, "Italian Journey", Gouda writes about the antique monuments of Sicily with enthusiasm. Before and after him, many people have shared this order.
The diverse sides of the island are due to its mixed history. The native Siccans were conquered by Punic and Greek people. In 212 B.C., they were followed by the Romans who made the island their independent probincia. A thousand years later, Saracants, that is, Arabian people arrived. They were beat by the Norman -- a French origin. After the [Foreign Language] Dynasty died out, the German Howenstaus then the French Anju finally succeeded. The Famous folk rising called the Sicilian even song "Dispel the Anju". Then, with the help of the pope the Spanish Oregonion house gained power later following to the Hapsburgs hand. They were succeeded by the Savoy and Bourbon house until the island joined the Untied Italian Kingdom.
Siracusa is the most severely city on the Ionic Sea and was founded on 734 B.C. by the Greek Conrintha's on the island of Artesia. During its hay-day, it's a as big as it is today. Today, the island to the mainland is connected with a bridge. The place of Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides used to be performed in the Greek theater. Today, we can adore the sunset from its semi-circle benches. Archimedes controlled the technical defenses of Siracusa besieged by the Romans with catapults and among other things, paraball and mirrors. The scholar was killed by a Roman soldier who didn't care about Archimedes famous saying "Don't disturb my circles". The scholar's tomb was alleged to be near Latomia Del Paradiso, a quarry. The huge castle-like quarry with its collapsed top became well-known when 7,000 prisoners of war were imprisoned here.
Dionysus Theranus heard the prisoners talking to each other in an echoing cave and the cave has been called Dionysus Ear ever since. All over the island the products of craftsmen are popular. In Siracusa, the custom-made products of ceramics are especially popular with tourists.
The ships going to Malta set-off from the harbor of the city. A small alley, Paseo Aretusa, leaves to the harbor from where bay sis beautiful especially at sunset. The main square is decorated by a spectacular Diana fountain dating back to 1906. The side of the old town lining the peninsula reminds us of Dubrovnik that the buildings seen here represent several centuries in several styles. Frederick II was responsible for the building of the fortress Castella Mariachi extending to the sea. The building of Palazo Bellomo dates back to the 13th century, the showpiece of its museum, and the painting Angelic Reading by Messina. St. John's catacombs remain from old Christian times from the yard of a monastery which fell into decay.
The minister was built on the side of the Minerva Church partly using its reminders. Its exterior pats were converted in Baroque style later on. Some columns of the huge three-aisle building belong to the Minerva Church. In the chapel, we can see the silver sculpture of Saint Lucia who scratched off her own eyes because one of the admirers complimented them. The beautiful altar pictures are also a work by Messina.
Siracus boast everything that the other cities of Sicily have. Siracusa can hold its own with any other city of Sicily. There's an excavation and archaeological museum -- the Apollo sanctuary and cathedral, the Greek theater and Roman anti-theater, Gothic fortress and medieval catacombs. But it has something that no other Sicilian cities have.
There's a legend about the spring of Arathusa. The nymph has turned into a spring here by Alphaes, the God of Rivers. Another curiosity that plays is that in Europe the papyrus of the Nile which was planted here by the Arabians can grow only here in the warm water of the pool.

Apollo Theater
The Apollo Theater at 253 West 125th Street between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and Frederick Douglass Boulevard in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City is a music hall which is a noted venue for African-American performers. It was the home of Showtime at the Apollo, a nationally syndicated television variety show which showcased new talent, from 1987 to 2008, encompassing 1093 episodes.
The theater, which has a capacity of 1506, was built in 1913-14 as Hurtig & Seamon's New Burlesque Theater, and was designed by George Keister in the neo-Classical style. It became the Apollo in 1934, when it was opened to black patrons – previously it had been a whites-only venue. In 1983, both the interior and exterior of the building were designated as New York City Landmarks, and the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It is estimated that 1.3 million people visit the Apollo every year.

Creation and rise
The building which later became the Apollo Theater was built in 1913-14 and was designed by architect George Keister, who also designed the First Baptist Church in the City of New York. It was originally Hurtig and Seamon's New (Burlesque) Theater, which enforced a strict "Whites Only" policy. The theatre was operated by noted burlesque producers Jules Hurtig and Harry Seamon, who obtained a 30-year lease. It remained in operation until 1928, when Billy Minsky took over. The song "I May Be Wrong (But I Think You're Wonderful)" by Harry Sullivan and Harry Ruskin, written in 1929, became the theme song of the theater..

In the early 20th century many African Americans moved to this area and in the 1920s and 30s many famous artists, musicians and businessmen became well known in Harlem and took Black culture to a higher level, in a movement known as the Harlem Renaissance. The Studio Museum of Harlem -- 124 West 125th Street At The Studio Museum of Harlem, there is more about black history including guided tours, readings and exhibitions of African American art and culture. There is a suggested donation for entry. The Apollo Theater - 253 West 125th Street The Apollo Theater is one of the most famous and historic music hall in the U.S. This famous club is almost exclusively associated with African American music and performance. During the Harlem Renaissance and specifically in 1934, the Apollo Theater introduced its regular Amateur Night shows, during which many new stars were born and legends were made. In fact the Apollo launched the careers of famous artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, James Brown, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey...just to name a few. During amateur night, the audience would clap to approve the performers they liked and "boo" the performers they weren't too excited about. At that point an "executioner", a man with a broom, would sweep the bad performers off the stage. Even today, every Wednesday is Amateur Night at the Apollo. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town. You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface. And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Here are some Things to do in NYC :) This 1st of a "Things to do in NYC" is the BASICS. I will do more in depth videos on neighborhoods like Harlem, Brooklyn, Lower East Side which will include shopping, entertainment, eating, all that :) But for now I hope you find this helpful and excited about exploring NYC. Made famous for her costume designing in The Devil Wears Prada and Sex and the City: the Movie and sequel, her boutique is another MUST. Save your feet and cover more ground. These bikes and bike spots are all over the city. A perfect way to burn calories and see more of the city faster. http://citibikenyc.com Caracas! This happens to be a fav spot of mine! It's uber small and the lines can be long but I love the food. Yes it's fried and oh so good! You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. After you party it up Saturday night or Sunday afternoon bring your sinful behind to this awesome church! You don't have to be religious to attend. Visit Ragusa in Sicily The southern coat of the Ireland is a les visited part of Sicily. Only Modica and Ragusa are worth mentioning. The latter is the departure point of trips towards the inner parts of the island. Leguse is the capital of the southeast and the county seat. Only the upper Ragusa built on the site of the Greek Hybla Heraea., and the medieval city built adjacent to it are interesting for tourists. Lower Ragusa is a center of asphalt and oil-mining. It's a modern industrial city with all its disadvantages. The picturesque Baroque of the city has such monuments as a San Giorgio Church or the Santa Maria delle Scale Church dating back to the 15th century or the Pro Patria monument. In his famous work, "Italian Journey", Gouda writes about the antique monuments of Sicily with enthusiasm. Before and after him, many people have shared this order. The diverse sides of the island are due to its mixed history. The native Siccans were conquered by Punic and Greek people. In 212 B.C., they were followed by the Romans who made the island their independent probincia. A thousand years later, Saracants, that is, Arabian people arrived. They were beat by the Norman -- a French origin. After the [Foreign Language] Dynasty died out, the German Howenstaus then the French Anju finally succeeded. The Famous folk rising called the Sicilian even song "Dispel the Anju". Then, with the help of the pope the Spanish Oregonion house gained power later following to the Hapsburgs hand. They were succeeded by the Savoy and Bourbon house until the island joined the Untied Italian Kingdom. Siracusa is the most severely city on the Ionic Sea and was founded on 734 B.C. by the Greek Conrintha's on the island of Artesia. During its hay-day, it's a as big as it is today. Today, the island to the mainland is connected with a bridge. The place of Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides used to be performed in the Greek theater. Today, we can adore the sunset from its semi-circle benches. Archimedes controlled the technical defenses of Siracusa besieged by the Romans with catapults and among other things, paraball and mirrors. The scholar was killed by a Roman soldier who didn't care about Archimedes famous saying "Don't disturb my circles". The scholar's tomb was alleged to be near Latomia Del Paradiso, a quarry. The huge castle-like quarry with its collapsed top became well-known when 7,000 prisoners of war were imprisoned here. Dionysus Theranus heard the prisoners talking to each other in an echoing cave and the cave has been called Dionysus Ear ever since. All over the island the products of craftsmen are popular. In Siracusa, the custom-made products of ceramics are especially popular with tourists. The ships going to Malta set-off from the harbor of the city. A small alley, Paseo Aretusa, leaves to the harbor from where bay sis beautiful especially at sunset. The main square is decorated by a spectacular Diana fountain dating back to 1906. The side of the old town lining the peninsula reminds us of Dubrovnik that the buildings seen here represent several centuries in several styles. Frederick II was responsible for the building of the fortress Castella Mariachi extending to the sea. The building of Palazo Bellomo dates back to the 13th century, the showpiece of its museum, and the painting Angelic Reading by Messina. St. John's catacombs remain from old Christian times from the yard of a monastery which fell into decay. The minister was built on the side of the Minerva Church partly using its reminders. Its exterior pats were converted in Baroque style later on. Some columns of the huge three-aisle building belong to the Minerva Church. In the chapel, we can see the silver sculpture of Saint Lucia who scratched off her own eyes because one of the admirers complimented them. The beautiful altar pictures are also a work by Messina. Siracus boast everything that the other cities of Sicily have. Siracusa can hold its own with any other city of Sicily. There's an excavation and archaeological museum -- the Apollo sanctuary and cathedral, the Greek theater and Roman anti-theater, Gothic fortress and medieval catacombs. But it has something that no other Sicilian cities have. There's a legend about the spring of Arathusa. The nymph has turned into a spring here by Alphaes, the God of Rivers. Another curiosity that plays is that in Europe the papyrus of the Nile which was planted here by the Arabians can grow only here in the warm water of the pool. Harlem was originally a Dutch village founded around 1658. It was named after the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands. In the early 20th century many African Americans moved to this area and in the 1920s and 30s many famous artists, musicians and businessmen became well known in Harlem and took Black culture to a higher level, in a movement known as the Harlem Renaissance.
The Studio Museum of Harlem -- 124 West 125th Street
At The Studio Museum of Harlem, there is more about black history including guided tours, readings and exhibitions of African American art and culture. There is a suggested donation for entry.
The Apollo Theater - 253 West 125th Street
The Apollo Theater is one of the most famous and historic music hall in the U.S. This famous club is almost exclusively associated with African American music and performance. During the Harlem Renaissance and specifically in 1934, the Apollo Theater introduced its regular Amateur Night shows, during which many new stars were born and legends were made. In fact the Apollo launched the careers of famous artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, James Brown, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey...just to name a few. During amateur night, the audience would clap to approve the performers they liked and "boo" the performers they weren't too excited about. At that point an "executioner", a man with a broom, would sweep the bad performers off the stage. Even today, every Wednesday is Amateur Night at the Apollo.

Our recent week in New York City was an action-packed one. We decided to set ourselves a challenge to see and do as much as we possibly could, and that gave way to this travel video guide which highlights 50 of the top attractions. In a city like New York this means we barely scratched the surface, but hopefully this video will highlight the cornucopia of possibilities that is the Big Apple.

Most journeys begin at Penn Station or Grand Central, and if you arrive at the later you'll be wowed by the building. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town.
You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface.
And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Here are some Things to do in NYC :) This 1st of a "Things to do in NYC" is the BASICS. I will do more in depth videos on neighborhoods like Harlem, Brooklyn, Lower East Side which will include shopping, entertainment, eating, all that :) But for now I hope you find this helpful and excited about exploring NYC. I didn't "forget" to list anything. This is just the first video and trust their are a million things to do. Sorry for not including Brooklyn. I rarely go out there and didn't have footage to include in this video. But here goes!

Summer in NYC isn't really summer until you get your butt on a rooftop. My pick was Jimmy Rooftop. Sunday's after 3pm are bomb! Amazing music courtesy of DJ Cato. I believe it is doorman discretion, which means, dress your best and don't travel with a bunch of dudes. You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. I chose this spot because I used to work here and loved it!

Yes! Go to Church! After you party it up Saturday night or Sunday afternoon bring your sinful behind to this awesome church! You don't have to be religious to attend. This is a non-denominal church and people from all over the world come here for the amazing sermons and not to mention the interior. This Church is a converted theatre and a must see. Now go and pray!

The southern coat of the Ireland is a les visited part of Sicily. Only Modica and Ragusa are worth mentioning. The latter is the departure point of trips towards the inner parts of the island. Leguse is the capital of the southeast and the county seat. Only the upper Ragusa built on the site of the Greek Hybla Heraea., and the medieval city built adjacent to it are interesting for tourists. Lower Ragusa is a center of asphalt and oil-mining. It's a modern industrial city with all its disadvantages.
The picturesque Baroque of the city has such monuments as a San Giorgio Church or the Santa Maria delle Scale Church dating back to the 15th century or the Pro Patria monument. In his famous work, "Italian Journey", Gouda writes about the antique monuments of Sicily with enthusiasm. Before and after him, many people have shared this order.
The diverse sides of the island are due to its mixed history. The native Siccans were conquered by Punic and Greek people. In 212 B.C., they were followed by the Romans who made the island their independent probincia. A thousand years later, Saracants, that is, Arabian people arrived. They were beat by the Norman -- a French origin. After the [Foreign Language] Dynasty died out, the German Howenstaus then the French Anju finally succeeded. The Famous folk rising called the Sicilian even song "Dispel the Anju". Then, with the help of the pope the Spanish Oregonion house gained power later following to the Hapsburgs hand. They were succeeded by the Savoy and Bourbon house until the island joined the Untied Italian Kingdom.
Siracusa is the most severely city on the Ionic Sea and was founded on 734 B.C. by the Greek Conrintha's on the island of Artesia. During its hay-day, it's a as big as it is today. Today, the island to the mainland is connected with a bridge. The place of Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides used to be performed in the Greek theater. Today, we can adore the sunset from its semi-circle benches. Archimedes controlled the technical defenses of Siracusa besieged by the Romans with catapults and among other things, paraball and mirrors. The scholar was killed by a Roman soldier who didn't care about Archimedes famous saying "Don't disturb my circles". The scholar's tomb was alleged to be near Latomia Del Paradiso, a quarry. The huge castle-like quarry with its collapsed top became well-known when 7,000 prisoners of war were imprisoned here.
Dionysus Theranus heard the prisoners talking to each other in an echoing cave and the cave has been called Dionysus Ear ever since. All over the island the products of craftsmen are popular. In Siracusa, the custom-made products of ceramics are especially popular with tourists.
The ships going to Malta set-off from the harbor of the city. A small alley, Paseo Aretusa, leaves to the harbor from where bay sis beautiful especially at sunset. The main square is decorated by a spectacular Diana fountain dating back to 1906. The side of the old town lining the peninsula reminds us of Dubrovnik that the buildings seen here represent several centuries in several styles. Frederick II was responsible for the building of the fortress Castella Mariachi extending to the sea. The building of Palazo Bellomo dates back to the 13th century, the showpiece of its museum, and the painting Angelic Reading by Messina. St. John's catacombs remain from old Christian times from the yard of a monastery which fell into decay.
The minister was built on the side of the Minerva Church partly using its reminders. Its exterior pats were converted in Baroque style later on. Some columns of the huge three-aisle building belong to the Minerva Church. In the chapel, we can see the silver sculpture of Saint Lucia who scratched off her own eyes because one of the admirers complimented them. The beautiful altar pictures are also a work by Messina.
Siracus boast everything that the other cities of Sicily have. Siracusa can hold its own with any other city of Sicily. There's an excavation and archaeological museum -- the Apollo sanctuary and cathedral, the Greek theater and Roman anti-theater, Gothic fortress and medieval catacombs. But it has something that no other Sicilian cities have.
There's a legend about the spring of Arathusa. The nymph has turned into a spring here by Alphaes, the God of Rivers. Another curiosity that plays is that in Europe the papyrus of the Nile which was planted here by the Arabians can grow only here in the warm water of the pool.

The side of the old town lining the peninsula reminds us of Dubrovnik that the buildings seen here represent several centuries in several styles. Frederick II was responsible for the building of the fortress Castella Mariachi extending to the sea. The building of Palazo Bellomo dates back to the 13th century, the showpiece of its museum, and the painting Angelic Reading by Messina. St. John's catacombs remain from old Christian times from the yard of a monastery which fell into decay.
The minister was built on the side of the Minerva Church partly using its reminders. Its exterior pats were converted in Baroque style later on. Some columns of the huge three-aisle building belong to the Minerva Church. In the chapel, we can see the silver sculpture of Saint Lucia who scratched off her own eyes because one of the admirers complimented them. The beautiful altar pictures are also a work by Messina.
Siracus boast everything that the other cities of Sicily have. Siracusa can hold its own with any other city of Sicily. There's an excavation and archaeological museum -- the Apollo sanctuary and cathedral, the Greek theater and Roman anti-theater, Gothic fortress and medieval catacombs. But it has something that no other Sicilian cities have.
There's a legend about the spring of Arathusa. The nymph has turned into a spring here by Alphaes, the God of Rivers. Another curiosity that plays is that in Europe the papyrus of the Nile which was planted here by the Arabians can grow only here in the warm water of the pool.

I love all the animation characters like Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and all the rest of the Disney Channels Mickey Mouse Club gang, I am a big fan of Disney and Pixar Movies like finding Dory, Frozen, Toy Story 1,2,3 and my favorite characters are Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story and Queen Elsa and Anna From Disney's Frozen. I love the new animation Disney;s Moana and her little pig friend Called Pua and also her friend called Maui I also love the classic Disney movies like Cinderella, Beauty And The Beast, Little Mermaid and Snow White And The 7 Dwarfs.
