Scott Guthrie (born 1975) is a vice president in the Microsoft Developer Division. He is best known for his work on ASP.NET, which he and colleague Mark Anders developed while at Microsoft.
He runs the development teams that build ASP.NET, Common Language Runtime (CLR), Core .NET Base Class Library, Silverlight, Windows Forms, WPF, Internet Information Services 7.5, Commerce Server, .NET Compact Framework, Visual Web Developer and Visual Studio Tools for WPF.
Guthrie graduated with a degree in computer science from Duke University. He frequently presents wearing a signature red shirt. Guthrie speaks at all of the major developer conventions.
