A very interesting documentary about Bob Burns, a world famous archivist and historian of movie props and other artifacts from worlds greatest (and not so great) science-fiction and horror motion pictures. The documentary feature a trip to Bob's basement that was turned to some kind of museum, preserved with models, miniatures, masks, costumes, monsters, creatures and props from different sci-fi and horror movies varied from the dawn of the cinema to these days. Bob talks about his career as special effects prop collector, special effects artist and actor as well as revealing a detailed information about his collection and the stuff that he bought, found or was endowed to him by Hollwood's most famous special effects artists during the years.

Plot: Brilliant researchers Lillian Reynolds and Michael Brace have developed a system of recording and playing back actual experiences of people. Once the capability of tapping into "higher brain functions" is added in, and you can literally jump into someone else's head and play back recordings of what he or she was thinking, feeling, seeing, etc., at the time of the recording, the applications for the project quickly spiral out of control. While Michael Brace uses the system to become close again to Karen Brace, his estranged wife who also works on the project, others start abusing it for intense sexual experiences and other logical but morally questionable purposes. The government tries to kick Michael and Lillian off the project once the vast military potential of the technology is discovered. It soon becomes obvious that the government is interested in more than just missile guidance systems. The lab starts producing mind torture recordings and other psychosis inducing material. When one of the researchers dies and tapes the experience of death, Michael is convinced that he must playback this tape to honor the memory of the researcher and to become enlightened. When another researcher dies during playback the tape is locked away and Michael has to fight against his former colleagues and the government lackeys that now run his lab in order to play back and confront the "scariest thing any of us will ever face" - death itself.

Plot: Scott Elliott, a discharged WWII Navy officer and a film executive in civilian life, passes through a small Arkansas town, and meets Bob Burns, a farmer, and his daughter. As a film executive prior to the war, Elliott always had the thought that he could make animals talk on the screen, and when he tells this to Bob, he heartily agrees. They form a partnership whereby Elliott will handle the technical aspects, and Bob will write the dialogue for the talking animals. They go to Hollywood, where they start work on the film with the financial help of a producer. However, when half of the scenes are completed, they run the scenes for the producer, who walks out and refuses to put any more money in the project.

The Capture (1913)

Plot: It is the unexpected things in life that happen, which was proven when Bob Burns applied to John Hennessy for a position. Burns is told that single men are not engaged, that if he gets married by twelve o'clock the following day, the position is his. Burns writes two of his young lady friends, asking them to marry him, and to meet him at eleven o'clock. Undecided which one to mail, he allows a young boy to pick one of the letters out of his pocket and mail it. By accident, the other letter drops to the sidewalk. A good Samaritan, seeing the letter, picks it up and mails it. The next morning, at the appointed time, the two ladies arrive on the scene, and claim Burns for theirs. Not knowing what to do. Burns simply throws up the sponge and takes to his heels. Burns runs into an apartment building, where he comes face to face with an old sweetheart of his. He proposes to her and is accepted. They get married. Bob and his young bride arrive at his employer's office, where the two young ladies rush in with a policeman. Mr. Hennessy is overwhelmed when he discovers that Burns' young bride is his daughter Ruth.
