The system I use to describe the difficulty levels of our Online Guitar Lessons is only an approximation, and partially dependent on the student's playing level and the styles they are experienced with. The songs are classified on a 1-10 scale, although I will reserve the right to go to 11 if I decide to post any of a small handful of songs for the extreme guitarist. Here is a bit of a breakdown:
Level 1: A level 1 song will usually only include a few chords, all open (no barre chords), and just use one simple strumming pattern.
Levels 2-3: These songs will include more chords, not usually barre chords but there may be an optional one, and have more variety in the strumming. This category also includes some simple riff-based songs.
Levels 4-5: These are beginning intermediate songs. They include fingerpicking, arpeggio picking, and particularly songs that include combining strumming with picking out melody notes. They can include many barre chords.
Levels 6-7: These are more complicated rock songs. They can include alternate tunings, fingerpicking that is less pattern based, complicated strumming patterns, very quick chord changes, faster runs using hammer ons & pull offs, cross picking, and more theory is involved. A few of these could be considered advanced songs.
Level 8: The beginning of the advanced level. There are really no rock songs where the accompaniment could be considered advanced. These are mostly instrumental songs that require a very solid foundation in many varied techniques. Even if these songs seem intimidating, there is a lot that can be learned by stretching yourself to work above your current level.
Levels 9-10: Instrumental fingerpicking songs that require a high level of technical skills, along with a developing sense of what it takes to turn notes into music. The level 9 instrumentals will be broken down into smaller increments (9.1, 9.2 etc.) as I get to more of them.
Here is how I might rank the tunes in the Song Library as far as difficulty, on a 1-10 scale. You could really help me with this by posting your comments, impressions, thoughts, or problems with particular songs in the Bands section of the TARGET members Forums, below. That way everybody could keep a running commentary about each song. I would really appreciate everybody's input.
Before you recommend any online guitar lessons check to see it we already have it. You can do full or partial searches. For example for Stairway To Heaven you can search any part of the word or phrase. Valid searches would be: stair, stairway, heaven. After searching you will get result(s) telling you if the lesson exist so you can vote it up or how to suggest it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a televised address on New Year's eve, said his abrupt decision to cancel high-denomination notes last month has dealt "a serious blow" to black money, terror-financing and tax evasion. Julius Henry "Groucho" Marx (October 2, 1890 -- August 19, 1977) was an American comedian and film and television star. He is known as a master of quick wit and widely considered one of the best comedians of the modern era. His rapid-fire, often impromptu delivery of innuendo-laden patter earned him many admirers and imitators. He made 13 feature films with his siblings the Marx Brothers, of whom he was the third-born. He also had a successful solo career, most notably as the host of the radio and television game show You Bet Your Life. His distinctive appearance, carried over from his days in vaudeville, included quirks such as an exaggerated stooped posture, glasses, cigar, and a thick greasepaint mustache and eyebrows. These exaggerated features resulted in the creation of one of the world's most ubiquitous and recognizable novelty disguises, known as "Groucho glasses", a one-piece mask consisting of horn-rimmed glasses, large plastic nose, bushy eyebrows and mustache.
Groucho Marx was, and is, the most recognizable and well-known of the Marx Brothers. Groucho-like characters and references have appeared in popular culture both during and after his life, some aimed at audiences who may never have seen a Marx Brothers movie. Groucho's trademark eye glasses, nose, mustache, and cigar have become icons of comedy—glasses with fake noses and mustaches (referred to as "Groucho glasses", "nose-glasses," and other names) are sold by novelty and costume shops around the world.

Alan Alda often vamped in the manner of Groucho on M*A*S*H. In March 1977, Groucho invited Queen to visit him in his Los Angeles home; there they performed "'39" a capella. A long-running ad campaign for Vlasic Pickles features an animated stork that imitates Groucho's mannerisms and voice. On the famous Hollywood Sign in California, one of the "O"s is dedicated to Groucho. Alice Cooper contributed over $27,000 to remodel the sign, in memory of his friend.
In 1982, Gabe Kaplan portrayed Marx in the film Groucho, in a one-man stage production. He also imitated Marx occasionally on his previous TV sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
Actor Frank Ferrante has performed as Groucho Marx on stage for more than two decades. He continues to tour under rights granted by the Marx family in a one-man show entitled An Evening With Groucho in theaters throughout the United States and Canada with piano accompanist Jim Furmston. In the late 1980s Ferrante starred as Groucho in the off-Broadway and London show Groucho: A Life in Revue penned by Groucho's son Arthur. Ferrante portrayed the comedian from age 15 to 85. The show was later filmed for PBS in 2001. Woody Allen's 1996 musical Everyone Says I Love You, in addition to being named for one of Groucho's signature songs, ends with a Groucho-themed New Year's Eve party in Paris, which some of the stars, including Allen and Goldie Hawn, attend in full Groucho costume. The highlight of the scene is an ensemble song-and-dance performance of "Hooray for Captain Spaulding"—done entirely in French.
In the last of the Tintin comics, Tintin and the Picaros, a balloon shaped like the face of Groucho could be seen in the Annual Carnival.
In the Italian horror comic Dylan Dog, the protagonist's sidekick is a Groucho impersonator whose character became his permanent personality.
The BBC remade the radio sitcom Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel, with contemporary actors playing the parts of the original cast. The series was repeated on digital radio station BBC7. Scottish playwright Louise Oliver wrote a play named Waiting For Groucho about Chico and Harpo waiting for Groucho to turn up for the filming of their last project together. This was performed by Glasgow theatre company Rhymes with Purple Productions at the Edinburgh Fringe and in Glasgow and Hamilton in 2007-08. Groucho was played by Scottish actor Frodo McDaniel.

The Late Late Show
The Late Late Show, with its title often shortened to The Late Late, is an Irish chat show. It is the world's second longest-running chat show, after the American The Tonight Show. Perceived as the official flagship television programme of Ireland's public service broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ), it is regarded as an Irish television institution (even abroad) and is broadcast live across two hours plus in front of a studio audience on Friday nights between September and May at 21.30.
Having maintained the same name and format continuously, The Late Late Show was first broadcast on Friday, 6 July 1962 at 23.20 and in colour from 1976. Originating as temporary summer filler for a niche Saturday night audience (airing at 23.30), it later moved to its current home on Friday night schedules. The format has remained largely the same throughout—dialogue, comic sketches, musical performances, discourse on topical issues. It has influenced attitudes of the populace towards approval or disapproval of its chosen topics, directed social change and helped shape Irish societal norms. It averages 650,000 viewers per episode and has consistently achieved RTÉ's highest ratings.

New Year is the time at which a new calendar year begins and the calendar's year count increments by one. Many cultures celebrate the event in some manner. The New Year of the Gregorian calendar, today mostly in use, falls on 1 January (New Year's Day), as was the case both in the old Roman calendar (at least after about 713 BCE) and in the Julian calendar that succeeded it. The order of months was January to December in the Old Roman calendar during the reign of King Numa Pompilius in about 700 BCE, according to Plutarch and Macrobius, and has been in continuous use since that time. Many countries, such as the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, the UK, and the United States, mark 1 January as a national holiday.
During the Middle Ages in western Europe, while the Julian calendar was still in use, authorities moved New Year's Day variously, depending upon locale, to one of several other days, among them: 1 March, 25 March, Easter, 1 September, and 25 December. These New Year's Day changes generally reverted to using January 1 before or during the various local adoptions of the Gregorian calendar, beginning in 1582. The change from March 25 – Lady Day, one of the four quarter days – to January 1 took place in Scotland in 1600, before the ascension of James VI of Scotland to the throne of England in 1603 and well before the formation of the Kingdom of Great Britain in 1707. Marx Brothers
The Marx Brothers were a family comedy act that was successful in vaudeville, on Broadway, and in motion pictures from 1905 to 1949. Five of the Marx Brothers' thirteen feature films were selected by the American Film Institute (AFI) as among the top 100 comedy films, with two of them (Duck Soup and A Night at the Opera) in the top twelve. The brothers were included in AFI's 100 Years...100 Stars list of the 25 greatest male stars of Classic Hollywood cinema, the only performers to be inducted collectively.
The group are almost universally known today by their stage names: Chico, Harpo, Groucho, Gummo, and Zeppo Marx. The core of the act was the three elder brothers: Chico, Harpo, and Groucho. Each developed a highly distinctive stage persona.
Harpo and Chico "more or less retired" after 1949, while Groucho went on to begin a second career in television. The two younger brothers Gummo and Zeppo did not develop their stage characters to the same extent. The two eventually left the act to pursue business careers at which they were successful, as well as a large theatrical agency for a time, through which they represented their brothers and others. Gummo was not in any of the movies; Zeppo appeared in the first five films in relatively straight (non-comedic) roles. The performing lives of the brothers was brought about by their mother Minnie Marx, who also acted as their manager.

The system I use to describe the difficulty levels of our Online Guitar Lessons is only an approximation, and partially dependent on the student's playing level and the styles they are experienced with. The songs are classified on a 1-10 scale, although I will reserve the right to go to 11 if I decide to post any of a small handful of songs for the extreme guitarist. Here is a bit of a breakdown: Level 1: A level 1 song will usually only include a few chords, all open (no barre chords), and just use one simple strumming pattern. Levels 2-3: These songs will include more chords, not usually barre chords but there may be an optional one, and have more variety in the strumming. This category also includes some simple riff-based songs. Levels 4-5: These are beginning intermediate songs. In 1982, Gabe Kaplan portrayed Marx in the film Groucho, in a one-man stage production. He also imitated Marx occasionally on his previous TV sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter. Actor Frank Ferrante has performed as Groucho Marx on stage for more than two decades. He continues to tour under rights granted by the Marx family in a one-man show entitled An Evening With Groucho in theaters throughout the United States and Canada with piano accompanist Jim Furmston. In the late 1980s Ferrante starred as Groucho in the off-Broadway and London show Groucho: A Life in Revue penned by Groucho's son Arthur. Ferrante portrayed the comedian from age 15 to 85. What if original sin had never occurred? I think you'll find that the fantasy concept known as "sin" is actually quite integral to our physical structure and success as a species. So, whether you take Genesis literally or not - if you believe we were designed by God - who is truly to blame for our "nature"?
After Pat Robertson explained that the earth is more than 6000 years old, using dinosaur bones as evidence, Ian Juby responded by explaining how that can't be true because death didn't exist before Adam.
"So, Mr. Robertson, was there death before Adam or not? Is the bible true or not? Jesus was supposed to bear the consequences of our sins, which is why he died on the cross; it was a consequence of sin. You have just nullified the reason for Christ's death." ~ Ian Juby

The system I use to describe the difficulty levels of our Online Guitar Lessons is only an approximation, and partially dependent on the student's playing level and the styles they are experienced with. The songs are classified on a 1-10 scale, although I will reserve the right to go to 11 if I decide to post any of a small handful of songs for the extreme guitarist. Here is a bit of a breakdown:
Level 1: A level 1 song will usually only include a few chords, all open (no barre chords), and just use one simple strumming pattern.
Levels 2-3: These songs will include more chords, not usually barre chords but there may be an optional one, and have more variety in the strumming. This category also includes some simple riff-based songs.
Levels 4-5: These are beginning intermediate songs. They include fingerpicking, arpeggio picking, and particularly songs that include combining strumming with picking out melody notes. They can include many barre chords.
Levels 6-7: These are more complicated rock songs. They can include alternate tunings, fingerpicking that is less pattern based, complicated strumming patterns, very quick chord changes, faster runs using hammer ons & pull offs, cross picking, and more theory is involved. A few of these could be considered advanced songs.
Level 8: The beginning of the advanced level. There are really no rock songs where the accompaniment could be considered advanced. These are mostly instrumental songs that require a very solid foundation in many varied techniques. Even if these songs seem intimidating, there is a lot that can be learned by stretching yourself to work above your current level.
Levels 9-10: Instrumental fingerpicking songs that require a high level of technical skills, along with a developing sense of what it takes to turn notes into music. The level 9 instrumentals will be broken down into smaller increments (9.1, 9.2 etc.) as I get to more of them.
Here is how I might rank the tunes in the Song Library as far as difficulty, on a 1-10 scale. You could really help me with this by posting your comments, impressions, thoughts, or problems with particular songs in the Bands section of the TARGET members Forums, below. That way everybody could keep a running commentary about each song. I would really appreciate everybody's input.

The participants see the old year out and the New Year in as they had a pleasant chat, enjoyed happy music, feeling over the party ran high by lottery of New Year's gift, and they became real sharer.
Preparation of the party was very hard and very tired. There were a lot of not getting along well and did the quarrel. However, we were impressed heartily because we were able to watch the best smile of the 177 sharer. The moment, all our fatigue vanished, and we decided that held 2nd party.

He is known as a master of quick wit and widely considered one of the best comedians of the modern era. His rapid-fire, often impromptu delivery of innuendo-laden patter earned him many admirers and imitators. He made 13 feature films with his siblings the Marx Brothers, of whom he was the third-born. He also had a successful solo career, most notably as the host of the radio and television game show You Bet Your Life. His distinctive appearance, carried over from his days in vaudeville, included quirks such as an exaggerated stooped posture, glasses, cigar, and a thick greasepaint mustache and eyebrows. These exaggerated features resulted in the creation of one of the world's most ubiquitous and recognizable novelty disguises, known as "Groucho glasses", a one-piece mask consisting of horn-rimmed glasses, large plastic nose, bushy eyebrows and mustache.
Groucho Marx was, and is, the most recognizable and well-known of the Marx Brothers. Groucho-like characters and references have appeared in popular culture both during and after his life, some aimed at audiences who may never have seen a Marx Brothers movie. Alan Alda often vamped in the manner of Groucho on M*A*S*H. In one episode, "Yankee Doodle Doctor", Hawkeye and Trapper put on a Marx Brothers act at the 4077, with Hawkeye playing Groucho and Trapper playing Harpo. In three other episodes, a character appeared who was named Captain Calvin Spalding (played by Loudon Wainwright III). Groucho's character in Animal Crackers was Captain Geoffrey T. Spaulding.
On many occasions, on the 1970s television sitcom All In The Family, Michael Stivic (Rob Reiner), would briefly imitate Groucho Marx and his mannerisms.
Two albums by British rock band Queen, A Night at the Opera (1975) and A Day at the Races (1976), are named after Marx Brothers films. In March 1977, Groucho invited Queen to visit him in his Los Angeles home; there they performed "'39" a capella. A long-running ad campaign for Vlasic Pickles features an animated stork that imitates Groucho's mannerisms and voice. On the famous Hollywood Sign in California, one of the "O"s is dedicated to Groucho. Alice Cooper contributed over $27,000 to remodel the sign, in memory of his friend.
In 1982, Gabe Kaplan portrayed Marx in the film Groucho, in a one-man stage production. He also imitated Marx occasionally on his previous TV sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
Actor Frank Ferrante has performed as Groucho Marx on stage for more than two decades. He continues to tour under rights granted by the Marx family in a one-man show entitled An Evening With Groucho in theaters throughout the United States and Canada with piano accompanist Jim Furmston. In the late 1980s Ferrante starred as Groucho in the off-Broadway and London show Groucho: A Life in Revue penned by Groucho's son Arthur. Ferrante portrayed the comedian from age 15 to 85. The show was later filmed for PBS in 2001. Woody Allen's 1996 musical Everyone Says I Love You, in addition to being named for one of Groucho's signature songs, ends with a Groucho-themed New Year's Eve party in Paris, which some of the stars, including Allen and Goldie Hawn, attend in full Groucho costume. The highlight of the scene is an ensemble song-and-dance performance of "Hooray for Captain Spaulding"—done entirely in French.
In the last of the Tintin comics, Tintin and the Picaros, a balloon shaped like the face of Groucho could be seen in the Annual Carnival.
In the Italian horror comic Dylan Dog, the protagonist's sidekick is a Groucho impersonator whose character became his permanent personality.
The BBC remade the radio sitcom Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel, with contemporary actors playing the parts of the original cast. The series was repeated on digital radio station BBC7. Scottish playwright Louise Oliver wrote a play named Waiting For Groucho about Chico and Harpo waiting for Groucho to turn up for the filming of their last project together. This was performed by Glasgow theatre company Rhymes with Purple Productions at the Edinburgh Fringe and in Glasgow and Hamilton in 2007-08. Groucho was played by Scottish actor Frodo McDaniel.

In one episode, "Yankee Doodle Doctor", Hawkeye and Trapper put on a Marx Brothers act at the 4077, with Hawkeye playing Groucho and Trapper playing Harpo. In three other episodes, a character appeared who was named Captain Calvin Spalding (played by Loudon Wainwright III). Groucho's character in Animal Crackers was Captain Geoffrey T. Spaulding.
On many occasions, on the 1970s television sitcom All In The Family, Michael Stivic (Rob Reiner), would briefly imitate Groucho Marx and his mannerisms.
Two albums by British rock band Queen, A Night at the Opera (1975) and A Day at the Races (1976), are named after Marx Brothers films. In March 1977, Groucho invited Queen to visit him in his Los Angeles home; there they performed "'39" a capella. A long-running ad campaign for Vlasic Pickles features an animated stork that imitates Groucho's mannerisms and voice. On the famous Hollywood Sign in California, one of the "O"s is dedicated to Groucho. Alice Cooper contributed over $27,000 to remodel the sign, in memory of his friend.
In 1982, Gabe Kaplan portrayed Marx in the film Groucho, in a one-man stage production. He also imitated Marx occasionally on his previous TV sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
Actor Frank Ferrante has performed as Groucho Marx on stage for more than two decades. He continues to tour under rights granted by the Marx family in a one-man show entitled An Evening With Groucho in theaters throughout the United States and Canada with piano accompanist Jim Furmston. In the late 1980s Ferrante starred as Groucho in the off-Broadway and London show Groucho: A Life in Revue penned by Groucho's son Arthur. Ferrante portrayed the comedian from age 15 to 85. The show was later filmed for PBS in 2001. Woody Allen's 1996 musical Everyone Says I Love You, in addition to being named for one of Groucho's signature songs, ends with a Groucho-themed New Year's Eve party in Paris, which some of the stars, including Allen and Goldie Hawn, attend in full Groucho costume. The highlight of the scene is an ensemble song-and-dance performance of "Hooray for Captain Spaulding"—done entirely in French.
In the last of the Tintin comics, Tintin and the Picaros, a balloon shaped like the face of Groucho could be seen in the Annual Carnival.
In the Italian horror comic Dylan Dog, the protagonist's sidekick is a Groucho impersonator whose character became his permanent personality.
The BBC remade the radio sitcom Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel, with contemporary actors playing the parts of the original cast. The series was repeated on digital radio station BBC7. Scottish playwright Louise Oliver wrote a play named Waiting For Groucho about Chico and Harpo waiting for Groucho to turn up for the filming of their last project together. This was performed by Glasgow theatre company Rhymes with Purple Productions at the Edinburgh Fringe and in Glasgow and Hamilton in 2007-08. Groucho was played by Scottish actor Frodo McDaniel.

I have been a huge fan and follower of their work since they dropped the Kanye West "Through the wire" video in 2003 and since then, they have had a tremendous influence on me. From their work with Erykah Badu, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def), Amanda Diva, Joey Badass and many more these guys are pure talent. They recently released an amazingly beautiful documentary as part of ESPN's 30 for 30 series on the tragic life of the talented 17 year old Chicago basketball player Ben Wilson and have many more treasures coming up. Luckily for me, they gave up some of their precious time to sit and talk past projects, new projects, influences and more. If I can't stop smiling in the interview, it's because I'm so excited...

Meeting these two guys was an absolute pleasure and highlight for me. I have been a huge fan and follower of their work since they dropped the Kanye West "Through the wire" video in 2003 and since then, they have had a tremendous influence on me. From their work with Erykah Badu, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def), Amanda Diva, Joey Badass and many more these guys are pure talent. They recently released an amazingly beautiful documentary as part of ESPN's 30 for 30 series on the tragic life of the talented 17 year old Chicago basketball player Ben Wilson and have many more treasures coming up.
Luckily for me, they gave up some of their precious time to sit and talk past projects, new projects, influences and more. If I can't stop smiling in the interview, it's because I'm so excited :)

What appears as 4 characters engaged in an intrigue driving around the lot of a car wash is actually
8 characters on a set with two of everything:
people, street corners, cars, signs, trash cans, tufts of grass, fire hydrants, etc have all been doubled, expanding the narrative possibilities of a simple task: the delivery of a plastic bag.
The actors improvised dialogues of contradictory story lines as they performed the circular event.

The system I use to describe the difficulty levels of our Online Guitar Lessons is only an approximation, and partially dependent on the student's playing level and the styles they are experienced with. The songs are classified on a 1-10 scale, although I will reserve the right to go to 11 if I decide to post any of a small handful of songs for the extreme guitarist. Here is a bit of a breakdown:
Level 1: A level 1 song will usually only include a few chords, all open (no barre chords), and just use one simple strumming pattern.
Levels 2-3: These songs will include more chords, not usually barre chords but there may be an optional one, and have more variety in the strumming. This category also includes some simple riff-based songs.
Levels 4-5: These are beginning intermediate songs. They include fingerpicking, arpeggio picking, and particularly songs that include combining strumming with picking out melody notes. They can include many barre chords.
Levels 6-7: These are more complicated rock songs. They can include alternate tunings, fingerpicking that is less pattern based, complicated strumming patterns, very quick chord changes, faster runs using hammer ons & pull offs, cross picking, and more theory is involved. A few of these could be considered advanced songs.
Level 8: The beginning of the advanced level. There are really no rock songs where the accompaniment could be considered advanced. These are mostly instrumental songs that require a very solid foundation in many varied techniques. Even if these songs seem intimidating, there is a lot that can be learned by stretching yourself to work above your current level.
Levels 9-10: Instrumental fingerpicking songs that require a high level of technical skills, along with a developing sense of what it takes to turn notes into music. The level 9 instrumentals will be broken down into smaller increments (9.1, 9.2 etc.) as I get to more of them.
Here is how I might rank the tunes in the Song Library as far as difficulty, on a 1-10 scale. You could really help me with this by posting your comments, impressions, thoughts, or problems with particular songs in the Bands section of the TARGET members Forums, below. That way everybody could keep a running commentary about each song. I would really appreciate everybody's input.

The BBC remade the radio sitcom Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel, with contemporary actors playing the parts of the original cast. The series was repeated on digital radio station BBC7. Scottish playwright Louise Oliver wrote a play named Waiting For Groucho about Chico and Harpo waiting for Groucho to turn up for the filming of their last project together. This was performed by Glasgow theatre company Rhymes with Purple Productions at the Edinburgh Fringe and in Glasgow and Hamilton in 2007-08. Groucho was played by Scottish actor Frodo McDaniel.
