Turin (/tjᵿˈrɪn/ tewr-IN; Italian: Torino, pronounced [toˈriːno]; Piedmontese: Turin, pronounced [tyˈɾiŋ]; Lombard: Türì; Latin: Augusta Taurinorum) is a city and an important business and cultural centre in northern Italy, capital of the Piedmont region, located mainly on the left bank of the Po River, in front of Susa Valley and surrounded by the western Alpine arch and by the Superga Hill. The population of the city proper is 892,649 (August 2015) while the population of the urban area is estimated by Eurostat to be 1.7 million inhabitants. The Turin metropolitan area is estimated by the OECD to have a population of 2.2 million.
The city has a rich culture and history, and is known for its numerous art galleries, restaurants, churches, palaces, opera houses, piazzas, parks, gardens, theatres, libraries, museums and other venues. Turin is well known for its renaissance, baroque, rococo, neo-classical, and art nouveau architecture.
Much of the city's public squares, castles, gardens and elegant palazzi such as Palazzo Madama, were built in the 16th and 18th century, after the capital of the Duchy of Savoy (later Kingdom of Sardinia) was moved to Turin from Chambery (nowadays France) as part of the urban expansion.

Joe Hart
Charles Joseph John "Joe" Hart (born 19 April 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Manchester City and the England national team. With over 100 Premier League clean sheets, Hart holds the record for the most Premier League Golden Glove awards (four) and has amassed over 50 international caps since his debut in 2008.
He began his career at his hometown club Shrewsbury Town in the Conference and League Two. In 2006, he moved to top-flight Manchester City, having attracted the attention of several Premier League teams. He spent time on loan at Tranmere Rovers and Blackpool in his first season, before spending the 2009–10 season at Birmingham City. Hart was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year and was voted as the Premier League goalkeeper of the 2009–10 season in recognition of his performances at Birmingham. He returned to Manchester City for the 2010–11 season and won the Barclays Golden Glove for keeping the most clean sheets throughout the Premier League season. Hart replicated this feat in the 2011–12 season and was a key player during City's title-winning campaign. He won the Golden Glove for the third year in a row in the following season, and earned a second Premier League title in 2014. In 2015, Hart once again won the Golden Glove award for the fourth time in five years. In 2015, Hart was praised by Gianluigi Buffon who described him as the best goalkeeper in the world.

In days the grocery stores were picked clean, within weeks there was looting, rioting, and chaos. The government had a plan, but it was too busy trying to stop the violence. When they finally declared martial law, it was already too late. Civilization collapsed into anarchy. The smart ones moved south, until they realized that millions of other smart people had the same smart idea. All those people in one place fighting for the same shelter and food, it was a bloodbath. Within three years more than two-thirds of the world's population had starved to death, frozen to death, or slaughtered each other. The American dream became the American nightmare.

Turin is a flourishing, industrious and cosmopolitan European city, which enjoys state-of-the-art technology and architectural developments. The city boasts a rich culture and history, and is known for its numerous art galleries, restaurants, churches, palaces, operahouses, piazzas, parks, gardens, theatres, libraries, museums and other venues. Turin is well-known for its baroque, rococo and neo-classical architecture. Much of the city's public squares, castles, gardens and elegant palazzi (such as Palazzo Madama), were built by Sicilian architect Filippo Juvarra, who modeled these buildings on the Baroque and classical style of Versailles. Examples of these French-themed edifices include the Royal Palace of Turin, the Palazzina di caccia of Stupinigi and the Basilica di Superga. Turin is sometimes called the "cradle of Italian liberty", due to its having been the birthplace and home of notable politicians and people who contributed to the Risorgimento, such as Cavour. The video was taken in June, and there was still snow on the highest peaks - the weather wasn't great on this occasion, overcast with brooding clouds, the route looks far better in proper summer sun or winter snow!

El Torino 380W es un automóvil de turismo del segmento E, fabricado en Argentina por la montadora Industrias Kaiser Argentina en la década del '60. El Torino 380W es un automóvil de turismo del segmento E, fabricado en Argentina por la montadora Industrias Kaiser Argentina en la década del '60. Este automóvil, no es otra cosa más que una versión del modelo IKA Torino, el cual fue presentado en su momento como la versión más poderosa de la gama. El 380 W, fue presentado en 1969 siendo una coupé de chasis autoportante, que presentaba la particularidad de estar equipada con tres carburadores Weber doble boca de 45 mm de diámetro cada uno, los cuales estaban dispuestos en fila y acoplados directamente al motor sin necesidad del uso de un múltiple de admisión. Este equipamiento le brindaba al vehículo la capacidad de ejercer una potencia de 176 CV, alcanzando una velocidad máxima de casi 200 km/h a un promedio de 6,5 Km/litro de consumo, aunque al mismo tiempo presentó algunas controversias sobre la fiabilidad del uso de los mismos y sobre su consumo, en una época en la que comenzaba a sucederse una fuerte crisis en el sector energético. Su motor era un 6 cilindros en línea Tornado Superpower de 230 pulgadas cúbicas (3800 cm3) y 4 bancadas. Fue fabricado hasta el año 1970 cuando fue reemplazado por el Torino GS 200 que incorporó soluciones aún más avanzadas como el nuevo motor Torino 233, que de 4 pasaba a poseer 7 bancadas y superaba ampliamente al 380W en potencia y velocidad máxima.
Esta versión del Torino fue utilizada en su año de presentación por el Automóvil Club Argentino para presentar un equipo oficial en la recordada competencia de resistividad conocida como "Las 84 Horas de Nürburgring" donde si bien el coche argentino no fue declarado como ganador por el jurado europeo, fue el vehículo que más vueltas le diera al trazado alemán, durante los tres días y medio que duró la prueba. La hazaña de Nürburgring
El Torino número 3 en el Museo del Automovilismo
En agosto de 1969, el Automóvil Club Argentino decide inscribirse en la popular carrera internacional de resistencia denominada «Las 84 horas de Nürburgring», en Alemania.1 Con tal motivo, la entidad madre del automovilismo argentino decide preparar su escuadra llevándose a lo mejor de lo mejor en su historia automovilística. Tal fue así, que se decidió armar el equipo con cuatro modelos que representaran el orgullo de la Industria Metalmecánica Nacional, por lo que fueron elegidas cuatro unidades Torino 380 W. Este automóvil fabricado en Argentina y considerado como el más potente del país fue llevado por la delegación bautizada como "La Legión Argentina", para dar una muestra la mundo de las cualidades de la industria nacional. Para la dirección del proyecto, fue puesto en la presidencia del equipo el reconocido quíntuple campeón de Fórmula 1 Juan Manuel Fangio, mientras que la dirección técnica de la escuadra estuvo a cargo del afamado preparador Oreste Berta, reconocido en el ambiente argentino por ser el primer preparador en hacer salir campeona a una marca distinta de las tradicionales Chevrolet y Ford.
Para la carrera, participaron tres Coupé 380W y un muleto, a las cuales se les modificó el sistema de apertura de capot, como así también la mencionada cobertura, ya que las bisagras de apertura fueron removidas de su posición original, siendo llevadas a la punta de la trompa, con fines técnicos, como por ejemplo el evitar una apertura accidental del capot hacia el parabrisas por acción del viento. Al mismo tiempo, el original capot de metal fue reemplazado por una imitación hecha en fibra plástica, lo que le daba aún más agilidad al coche gracias a la pérdida de peso que sufría.
Los tres automóviles recibieron por parte de las autoridades, los números 1, 2 y 3. Su aparición despertó curiosidad como desconfianza a la vez, a tal punto que se había rumoreado que los números que le habían sido asignados fueron elegidos con malicia, pensando que iban a ser los tres primeros participantes en abandonar.
Cada Torino, presentó una tripulación de tres pilotos. Dichas tripulaciones estaban compuestas por:
Torino nº 1: Luis Rubén Di Palma, Oscar "Cacho" Fangio y Carmelo Galbato.
Torino nº 2: Enrique Rodríguez Canedo, Jorge Cupeiro y Gastón Perkins.
Torino nº 3: Larry, Eduardo Copello, Oscar Mauricio Franco.
Si bien no ganó ese evento por una infracción al reglamento, su actuación como el vehículo que más vueltas realizó en el difícil trazado se considera una epopeya en el automovilismo de Argentina.

El Torino 380W es un automóvil de turismo del segmento E, fabricado en Argentina por la montadora Industrias Kaiser Argentina en la década del '60. Este automóvil, no es otra cosa más que una versión del modelo IKA Torino, el cual fue presentado en su momento como la versión más poderosa de la gama. El 380 W, fue presentado en 1969 siendo una coupé de chasis autoportante, que presentaba la particularidad de estar equipada con tres carburadores Weber doble boca de 45 mm de diámetro cada uno, los cuales estaban dispuestos en fila y acoplados directamente al motor sin necesidad del uso de un múltiple de admisión. Este equipamiento le brindaba al vehículo la capacidad de ejercer una potencia de 176 CV, alcanzando una velocidad máxima de casi 200 km/h a un promedio de 6,5 Km/litro de consumo, aunque al mismo tiempo presentó algunas controversias sobre la fiabilidad del uso de los mismos y sobre su consumo, en una época en la que comenzaba a sucederse una fuerte crisis en el sector energético. Su motor era un 6 cilindros en línea Tornado Superpower de 230 pulgadas cúbicas (3800 cm3) y 4 bancadas. Fue fabricado hasta el año 1970 cuando fue reemplazado por el Torino GS 200 que incorporó soluciones aún más avanzadas como el nuevo motor Torino 233, que de 4 pasaba a poseer 7 bancadas y superaba ampliamente al 380W en potencia y velocidad máxima.
Esta versión del Torino fue utilizada en su año de presentación por el Automóvil Club Argentino para presentar un equipo oficial en la recordada competencia de resistividad conocida como "Las 84 Horas de Nürburgring" donde si bien el coche argentino no fue declarado como ganador por el jurado europeo, fue el vehículo que más vueltas le diera al trazado alemán, durante los tres días y medio que duró la prueba. Two million years of climate data show global warming may be more severe than we thought

A new study extends global average surface temperature records back to 2 million years ago, further back in time than any previous climate research. The research suggests that global warming from human emissions of greenhouse gases will cause far more warming, up to 9 degrees Celsius, or 16.2 degrees Fahrenheit, during the next several millennia than previously expected ...
