There are certain aspects of traffic that are integral with city planning. Every year, in India, around 1.5 lakh people are losing lives due to road accidents, indicating that traffic system needs to be improved. In Cyberabad, we have introduced modern traffic-signaling system—Hyderabad Traffic Integrated Management System (HTIMS), integrated e-challan system, cab registration system, social media and mobile applications to disseminate information. The HITMS in Cyberabad covered 221 traffic junctions which are networked and adaptive and connected with central control room. We also have vehicle actuated mode which measures the flow of traffic and then changes the signals automatically. All these are networked and their timings can be set. The e-challan system kicked off in 2007 is getting a robust response and is being improved on a regular basis. Interestingly, we have also given small cameras to traffic police personnel who can wear those to record conversation with the offender to maintain transparency while penalising any traffic violator.

Police commissioner
Police commissioner (also known as the commissioner of police) is a senior rank in many police forces.
Duties and functions
The holder is usually an experienced police officer, though some are politically appointed and may or may not actually be a professional officer. In such a case, there is usually a professional chief of police in charge of day-to-day operations. In either event, the commissioner is the designated head of the organization.
In police services of the UK, Commonwealth and USA, the title of commissioner typically designates the head of an entire police force.
A police commissioner should not be confused with a police commissary. In France, Spain and some Latin American countries "commissary" denotes the head of a single police station (analogous to a chief superintendent in UK and Commonwealth countries). However titles such as commissaire in French and comisario in Spanish can mean either commissioner or commissary in English, depending on the context.

Deputy commissioner
A deputy commissioner is a police, income tax or administrative official in many different countries.
Australia
In all Australian police forces, deputy commissioner is the rank directly below that of commissioner and senior to the rank of assistant commissioner. In all forces, excepting the New South Wales Police Force where the insignia is crossed and wreathed tipstaves surmounted by a crown, the same insignia as that of a lieutenant-general in the army, the insignia is a diamond (or a star, in the case of the Victoria Police), the same as that of a major-general in the army.
Bangladesh
The deputy commissioner (popularly abbreviated to "DC") is the executive head of the district, an administrative sub-unit of a divisions. Deputy Commissioner is appointed by the government from a Deputy secretary of B.C.S. Administration Cadre.

Hong Kong Police Force have two types of DCs:

The deputy commissioner is the executive head of the district, an administrative sub-unit of a province. In his capacity as district magistrate, he has the overall responsibility of law & order. Every year, in India, around 1.5 lakh people are losing lives due to road accidents, indicating that traffic system needs to be improved. In Cyberabad, we have introduced modern traffic-signaling system—Hyderabad Traffic Integrated Management System (HTIMS), integrated e-challan system, cab registration system, social media and mobile applications to disseminate information. The HITMS in Cyberabad covered 221 traffic junctions which are networked and adaptive and connected with central control room. We also have vehicle actuated mode which measures the flow of traffic and then changes the signals automatically. All these are networked and their timings can be set.
