The fifth installment of The Amazing Race Asia is set to feature scenes filmed in Indonesian cities, and Indonesian actress Tara Basro as co-host alongside main host Allan Wu.
Scheduled to premiere in October on AXN as well as one of Indonesia's local TV stations, five episodes out of the show's 10 episodes were reportedly filmed in five Indonesian cities, said Tourism Minister Arief Yahya during a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday.

Out of the eleven teams competing for the grand prize of US$100,000, Indonesia will be represented by two teams, namely travel hosts duo Rachel and Vicky, and childhood friends Louisa and Treasuri.
In addition to the usual adventurous journeys, the series will also feature digital webisodes, exclusive behind the scene footages and Q&A sessions with the participants.
“He’s more like a thinker, while I’m more like a do-er. But when there’s a challenge, I’ll do it,” Rachel told the press conference, commenting on her teammate.
Meanwhile, both Louisa and Treasuri admitted that they were loyal viewers of The Amazing Race Asia and had made preparations for the show, including through physical training. “This include running around while wearing a huge bag,” said Treasuri. (kes)
