Tract (literature)
A tract is a literary work, and in current usage, usually religious in nature. The notion of what constitutes a tract has changed over time. By the early part of the 21st century, these meant small pamphlets used for religious and political purposes, though far more often the former. They are often either left for someone to find or handed out. However, there have been times in history when the term implied tome-like works.
History
The distribution of tracts pre-dates the development of the printing press, with the term being applied by scholars to religious and political works at least as early as the 13th century. They were used to disseminate the teachings of John Wycliffe in the 14th century. As a political tool, they proliferated throughout Europe during the 17th century. They were printed as persuasive religious material from the time of Gutenberg's invention.
Religious tracts
As religious literature, tracts were used throughout the turbulence of the Protestant Reformation and the various upheavals of the 17th century. They came to such prominence again in the Oxford Movement for reform within the Church of England that the movement became known as "Tractarianism", after the publication in the 1830s and 1840s of a series of religious essays collectively called Tracts for the Times.

Society
A society is a group of people involved in persistent social interaction, or a large social grouping sharing the same geographical or social territory, typically subject to the same political authority and dominant cultural expectations. Societies are characterized by patterns of relationships (social relations) between individuals who share a distinctive culture and institutions; a given society may be described as the sum total of such relationships among its constituent members. In the social sciences, a larger society often evinces stratification or dominance patterns in subgroups.
Insofar as it is collaborative, a society can enable its members to benefit in ways that would not otherwise be possible on an individual basis; both individual and social (common) benefits can thus be distinguished, or in many cases found to overlap.
A society can also consist of like-minded people governed by their own norms and values within a dominant, larger society. This is sometimes referred to as a subculture, a term used extensively within criminology.

For such investigations, they need to gather a great deal of supporting evidence, and the easier it is for the investigators to track this down, the more successful will be the outcome. Creating an extensive library of all activists contributions, online and offline, may well be of some use in the future
I have tagged the videos, referencing the youtube accounts I downloaded these videos from, to make it clear that these videos are not my work, ensuring the credit goes to the right youtube contributors. This is not about stealing anyone’s thunder! My goal is primarily about creating a library of all sources, and preserving all contributions.

My frustration with this organisation is the absolute disregard for personal freedom to leave it without being shunned by your family and friends. I was baptised as a child believing all that my parents and what watchtower taught me, that it was the truth and that all other religions were false and that doing independent research was wrong especially researching anything critical against watchtower doctrines. With selected knowledge and being a minor I believed what was fed to me. My frustration with this organisation is the absolute disregard for personal freedom to leave it without being shunned by your family and friends. I was baptised as a child believing all that my parents and what watchtower taught me, that it was the truth and that all other religions were false and that doing independent research was wrong especially researching anything critical against watchtower doctrines. With selected knowledge and being a minor I believed what was fed to me. It wasn't till a few years ago that I had the stamina to research properly and realise this wasn't the truth for me and no longer wanted to be a Jehovah's witness as I'm a very honest person. What frustrates me that in the western world jehovah's witnesses enjoy the wonderful freedom of speech and religious acceptance. Yet they deny their members the same unconditional freedom. Members are not free to leave with out the harsh punishment of loosing their entire family. Resigning from the religion results in being treated like you don't exist. Jehovah's witnesses will use the excuse that you can become inactive in the church what they don't tell you is that you are still bound to their rules, therefore if you attend another church, celebrate Christmas or birthdays or another forbidden celebration, or take a blood transfusion and you are found out by their "spy network" you are subject to what they call a judicial committee and then expelled if you don't adjust your thinking, this results in mandated shunning.
This is a very cruel act and completely goes against personal freedom. It is also a bully tactic. We are so very against bullying yet governments allow religious organisations to bully former members.

My frustration with this organisation is the absolute disregard for personal freedom to leave it without being shunned by your family and friends. I was baptised as a child believing all that my parents and what watchtower taught me, that it was the truth and that all other religions were false and that doing independent research was wrong especially researching anything critical against watchtower doctrines. With selected knowledge and being a minor I believed what was fed to me. It wasn't till a few years ago that I had the stamina to research properly and realise this wasn't the truth for me and no longer wanted to be a Jehovah's witness as I'm a very honest person. What frustrates me that in the western world jehovah's witnesses enjoy the wonderful freedom of speech and religious acceptance. Yet they deny their members the same unconditional freedom. Members are not free to leave with out the harsh punishment of loosing their entire family. Resigning from the religion results in being treated like you don't exist. Jehovah's witnesses will use the excuse that you can become inactive in the church what they don't tell you is that you are still bound to their rules, therefore if you attend another church, celebrate Christmas or birthdays or another forbidden celebration, or take a blood transfusion and you are found out by their "spy network" you are subject to what they call a judicial committee and then expelled if you don't adjust your thinking, this results in mandated shunning.
This is a very cruel act and completely goes against personal freedom. It is also a bully tactic. We are so very against bullying yet governments allow religious organisations to bully former members.
It's about time governments crack down on these injustices.
