Sacked Rangayana director Iqbal denies allegations
TNN | Jul 29, 2016, 11.36 AM IST SHIVAMOGGA: M Iqbal, who was sacked as the director of Shivamogga Rangayana on Wednesday, expressed his shock over the decision of the government.
He said he is yet to receive the official order in this respect. He refuted allegations that he overspent money for children's camps. Regarding the Rs 5 lakh cheque bounce case, a reason cited by the government for his removal, he said it is personal matter and has nothing to do with the state.
He alleged that the government did not give him a free hand and the required support to promote Kannada theatre activities in the district and develop the institution.
