Paintings to dot city walls for Krishna Pushkarams
TNN | Jul 29, 2016, 05.49 AM IST Vijayawada: Margam, a non-governmental organisagion (NGO), has roped in students to launch a spiritual campaign to promote pushkarams through wall paintings. Lakshmi Annapurna, founder of the NGO, said the paintings will keep the city walls free of posters in line with a campaign launched by the VMC commissioner G Veerapandiyan.
She said that 70 per cent of walls in the city will be covered with paintings with themes revolving around the pushkarams. "We will accomplish painting all the city wall shortly," she said.
