Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game developed by Relic Entertainment and based on Games Workshop's popular tabletop wargame Warhammer 40,000. It was released by THQ on September 20, 2004 in North America and on September 24 in Europe. Since its release, three expansion packs have been released: Winter Assault in 2005, Dark Crusade in 2006, and Soulstorm in 2008. The sequel, Dawn of War II was released in February 2009.
As a series Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War has sold more than 7 million copies worldwide as of January 2013.
Gameplay is initially focused on capturing and holding strategic locations on the battlefield. These control points are captured by infantry squads and provide resources to construct additional units and buildings or unlock certain units in an army's tech tree. Battles are won either by holding a certain number of control points for a period of time or by destroying all of the opposing armies' HQ structures. A number of special conditions are available to choose from to customize matches.

Principal photography started on April 5, 2010 in Montreal, and the film was released in 2D and in 3D (using the Real D 3D and Digital 3D formats) on November 11, 2011 by Universal Pictures and Relativity Media, receiving mixed-to-positive reviews and becoming a commercial success at the box office.
Before the dawn of man or beast, immortals waged war against each other in Heaven. The victors declared themselves gods while the vanquished were renamed the Titans and imprisoned beneath Mount Tartarus. The Epirus Bow, a weapon of immense power, was lost on Earth during the war. In 1228 B.C., the mortal king Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) of Heraklion searches for the bow, intending to use it to release the Titans to get revenge on the gods for failing to save his family. Hyperion captures the virgin oracle Phaedra (Freida Pinto), believing that she can use her visions to find the Epirus Bow's resting place.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II is a real-time strategy-tactical role-playing video game developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ for Microsoft Windows based on the fictional Warhammer 40,000 universe. It is the sequel to the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War video game series. Dawn of War II was released in North America on February 19, 2009 and in Europe on February 20, 2009.
Playable armies at the initial release of the game include the Space Marines, Orks, Eldar, and Tyranids. The Chaos Space Marines and the Imperial Guard were later added to the game through its two expansion packs.
The gameplay of Dawn of War II is markedly different from that of Dawn of War and its expansions, especially considering the removing of building your own bases is completely removed. Jonny Ebbert, the game's lead designer, describes the feel of the game by saying that it "takes everything that was great about the original and combines it with the best that Company of Heroes had to offer." There is a heavier focus on cover, which gives more substantial defensive bonuses. Accordingly, there is also new emphasis on methods of dealing with units in cover. Some weapons, such as grenades and other explosives, can destroy cover, while others, such as flamers, ignore cover bonuses completely. Other differences between Dawn of War II and its predecessors include improved unit AI (squads under fire seek cover, for example), more realistically sized vehicles, and an improved physics engine, though the ai is easy to manipulate, by means such as placing suppression squads which the ai will instantly know have been placed and avoid, thus allowing you to funnel the army to your needs. This game also includes a fall back command which the ai will use somewhat liberally, making the squad or command unit fall back at a higher speed and become resistant to range damage while being more vulnerable to melee.
Sun is rising in the sky
Frozen dew upon the land
UV rays melt the ice
On this day of war you’ll die
We are not afraid we won’t surrender
We are not afraid we won’t give in
Rather dead than living in sorrow
Rather dead than living in pain
Look at the armies of humans united
Standing on the horizon
Follow the sign of Helgnord
Morning has broken, Dawn of War
Heeding the call of the horns
There is no turning back, Dawn Of War
Don’t you dare to change your fate
Never try to put us down
You’d better give up and be a slave
