Stomp is a percussion group, originating in Brighton, UK that uses the body and ordinary objects to create a physical theatre performance.
Stomp was created by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas in Brighton, United Kingdom in 1991. The performers use a variety of everyday objects as percussion instruments in their shows.
Cresswell and McNicholas first worked together in 1981 as members of the street band Pookiesnackenburger and the theatre group Cliff Hanger. Together, these groups presented a series of street comedy musicals at the Edinburgh Festival throughout the early 1980s. After two albums, a UK TV series and extensive touring throughout Europe, Pookiesnackenburger also produced the "Bins" commercial for Heineken lager. The piece was originally written and choreographed by Cresswell as part of the band's stage show.
Between 1987 and 1990, Cresswell directed staged four large-scale outdoor events, including "Beat the Clyde". which involved floating a drum orchestra on a pontoon in the center of Glasgow; the largest of these events, the "Heineken Hove Lagoon Show", involved a 120 piece drum orchestra featuring the Brighton Festival Chorus and a full orchestral string section.

Prior to his career as a winemaker, following a period as a surfer, Eben Sadie traveled and worked in several of the world's wine regions, including Germany, Austria, Italy, Oregon and Burgundy. Having returned to South Africa, Sadie found work under Charles Back at The Spice Route in 1998, eventually becoming the chief winemaker and a resource Back described as "national asset for the South African wine industry".
The solo venture The Sadie Family was founded in 1999. The initial vintage of Columella in 2000 began on an exceptionally small scale, with a production 17 barrels, approximately 5000 bottles. The first two vintages were produced at Back's Spice Route facilities until Sadie established Sadie Family Wines with R9000, and 14 barrels. The company consists of three employees, in addition to Eben Sadie, his brother and sister. The initial vintage of the Palladius was in 2002 with a production of seven barrels, just under 2000 bottles.

Their first live appearance was on March 18, 2005 at Osaka Big Cat, when they were the opening act for D, Fatima, Doremidan, shulla, Kra and others.
On July 27, 2005 Sadie released their first maxi single, "Kokui no Shita no Yokubou to, Kunou no Hate ni Mita Hyakkei no Yuritachi", limited to 2000 copies that sold out rapidly.
On December 3, Sadie had their first oneman called "Dekiai ~ As a Sad Matter of Fact ~" in the Osaka Muse Hall in front of 250 people, introducing their new single "Dekiai", which came out a few days later and the single "Oboreru Sakana", exclusive for visitors of their concert.
