Washington may also refer to:

This is an incomplete list of major wildfires in Washington state history.
This list only includes "major fires" that destroyed over 5,000 acres (20 km2), incurred fatalities or damaged a significant amount of property. With a lag of 1 to 2 years, more or less complete data is available from 2002 on via the website with incident status summaries maintained by the National Fire and Aviation Management. Older fires are increasingly underreported. For example, none of the wildfires of 1926-31 and 1943 that together destroyed more than 500,000 acres of the Colville National Forest are included.
Wildfire seasons are defined by Washington state law as lasting from April 15 through October 15 of each year, allowing for burn bans and other restrictions to be imposed on state lands by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources during that time.
Washington State may refer to:
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (IATA: DCA, ICAO: KDCA, FAA LID: DCA) is an international airport 3 miles (5 km) south of downtown Washington, D.C., in Arlington County, Virginia, United States. It is the nearest commercial airport to the capital and serves the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area. For decades it was called Washington National Airport; it was renamed in 1998 to honor President Ronald Reagan. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) operates the airport with close oversight by the federal government due to its proximity to the national capital.
Reagan National is a hub for American Airlines, which is Reagan National's largest carrier. American Airlines also has near-hourly air shuttle flights to New York LaGuardia Airport and Logan International Airport in Boston. Delta Air Lines also operates near-hourly air shuttle flights to New York LaGuardia Airport, which are all operated by Delta Shuttle.
Other than the current 40 slot exemptions, flights into and out of the airport are not allowed to exceed 1,250 statute miles (2,000 km) in any direction nonstop, in an effort to send air traffic to the larger but more distant Washington Dulles International Airport. In the 12 months ending March 2015, the airport served 21,195,775 passengers.

The blaze was just 10 percent contained late on Tuesday. At least 24 residences were destroyed or badly damaged ...

Forest Fires Causing lots of smoke in the state of Washington poses some health hazards.
The firefighters were trapped by flames near Twisp after a vehicle crash. The fire forced more than 1,400 people to evacuate at least three towns. That fire is burning about a hundred miles northeast of Seattle. Danielle Nottingham reports.
BLM firefighters helped save dozens of endangered pygmy rabbits after a central Washington wildfire swept across a state-managed breeding ground late last month. The Sutherland Canyon Fire, which has burned nearly 38,000 acres on both sides of the Columbia River south of Wenatchee, overran the controlled sagebrush breeding ground June 28. After the wind-blown wildfire swept through, BLM firefighters escorted a state wildlife biologist to the area and quickly mobilized into a “capture team,” according to Richard Parrish, a BLM fire management officer based in Spokane. “Everybody was really excited to be a part of that,” said Parrish of the seven-member BLM team. The ground and most the sagebrush that the pygmy rabbits rely on were charred black. In some areas, the soil was still warm t...

Fire Trucks, Ambulances, Police, Water Trucks, Tractors with Disks, ect. were dispatched as lightning struck all over Garfield county and started fires. Enjoy the lightning show with thunder, and see a fire on the hill right after lightning struck. On the 29th it was reported that this storm I recorded on the 28th has burnt 6,000 acres so far. On the 30th it was reported on KREM 2 news that there were 10 - 11 lightning strikes that started separate fires. Houses were in danger, and probably still are today. The rain didn't go everywhere, but the lightning did, causing fires in dry areas. Structure fire on Main St. in downtown Bothell, Washington. I was awoken by the intense light coming thru my window, grabbed my camera, climbed out on the roof and began filming. Time and date: Approximately 3:30AM on July 22, 2016. Filmed on the roof of my house 0.7 miles away. The building on fire is the wooden frame of condominiums being built, so luckily there was no one living in them yet, hopefully there wasn't excessive damage to surrounding buildings. At around the 15:00 minute mark you can see what appears to be a fire ladder being raised. Sorry for some shakiness but it was dark and I was barefooted, trying to adjust tripod legs (on very slanted roof) and remove lens filters while filming.
