Julie performs her song 'Grace' at Feile na Bealtaine in St. James Church in Dingle May 2011. (The sound is a little distorted and apologies for that. We are trying to retrieve the better recording from a HD recorder that was taken that night and we will upload it when we do.) The song "Grace" is from her 2nd album 'pages' which she composed and orchestrated.

Here is her song 'Life's Nudge' from her 'pages' album. Jon Pareles, Chief Critic at the New York Times said of her performance at the Irish Arts Center: "Theatrical on the Shell, intricate at the core...Ms. Feeney's songs tease, ponder, reminisce, philosophize and invent parables, and she sings them in a plush, changeable mezzo-soprano that usually holds a kindly twinkle..." Irish composer and singer Julie Feeney has a thing for Royal Wedding-worthy headpieces - and musically, she's a wearer of many hats as well. Her resume includes stints as a professional singer, Riverdance performer, composer, and model... and by the way, she also has three Masters Degrees (including one in psychoanalysis). All of her various experiences add up to a unique compositional style that has been compared to Sufjan Stevens—and a voice that brings to mind Bjork and Sinead O'Connor. She joins us live to perform songs from her second album, "Pages."
Julie performed to a sold out audience at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. The music played is 'Grace' taken from her album 'pages'. Stills by John Soffe. Filmed by Steve Wilson, Natalia Pulber and Eleanor Bowman. Edited by Natalia Pulber.
Video clip of live performance of "Myth" (album: 'pages'), filmed during Julie Feeney Headline Show 'Live at T5', JFK airport, New York, March 17th 2011. Previous headliners - Taylor Swift, James Blunt, Sarah McLachlan. 'Myth' is track number 6 on the album 'pages', released by Julie via her own label - Mittens. All music and words for 'pages' were composed, orchestrated, produced and sung by Julie, who also conducted the Irish Chamber Orchestra during recording. Feeney is a dramatic and stylish singer/composer/orchestrator, winner of the Choice Music Prize for 'Irish Album of the Year', described by Hot Press as a "mesmerizing stage presence and eccentric pop genius", who takes an avant-garde approach to her innovative, one-of-a-kind sound, which, while rooted in classical music, strad...
Julie Feeney performs her first single 'Love is A Tricky Thing' from her 'pages' album live on 'The View' with John Kelly on RTE TV. She composed and arranged the music for the 6 piece ensemble Louis Roden, Cian O'Duill, Mary Barnecutt, Dan Bodwell, Eugene Ginty and Christina Whyte. She wears her own 'pages' dress which was hand-stitched on hand-made paper using Julie's orchestral score. The orchestral music for every song from Julie's 'pages' album was used and pages dress is completely made of paper. A dress like this has never been done before and definitely not with a composer's score. Furthermore no composer has ever worn a self-composed score as a dress. Because of the fact that paper doesn't fall into shape like fabric, measurements were crucial in the design of the dress as was ...

OFFICIALLY no one will ever know why Francis Michael Fahey butchered two Brisbane prostitutes, but his wife has no doubts it is linked to Fahey's work as an ambulance officer. In the Supreme Court in Brisbane yesterday, Fahey was sentenced to two life sentences for the murders of Jasmin Crathern and Julie Louise McColl. He will have to serve 25 years in jail before he can apply for parole, but the court was told that because of Fahey's health, he was likely to die in jail. Fahey picked up the women in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley area and then drove them to secluded places where he killed them. Outside court Fahey's wife Beth said she hoped for the victims' families' sake the sentence would give them some closure. She said she believed anti-depressant medication Fahey was taking at the...
