Close Encounters is a series of podcasts in which journalist Alix Fox has honest conversations about sex and relationships.
Here we hear from Kirsty, who has a special set of dildos designed to help her insert increasingly bigger things into her vagina, which tends to clamp up tightly and painfully due to a condition called vaginismus. The condition makes it almost impossible for Kirsty to have penetrative sex – even if she dearly wants to. She and Alix have a heart-to-heart about her parts, and a love life full of stops and starts.
