Today the kids have time trials for swim team! The same swim team my mom had me and my sisters on when we were younger! As I grew older and noticed many of my peers were not strong swimmers, I was thankful that we had to wake up at 6am every morning and swim 200m freestyles in a very very cold pool. My mom learned from free pools back in the 50's but in places like Baltimore the free pools have become scarce. I know there are challenges in accessing quality, non over-crowded pools but we have to combat it! I put a link to a free swimming lessons program in my area below. If you know of any programs please leave them in the comments section. No excuses this summer: GET OUT THERE AND SWIM!!!!
