Synopsis:
The story of an American businessman who has accompanied a shipment of lathes to Austria and is trying to kethem out of the hands of Communists. The shipment ends up in Hamburg, and he tracks it there with the help of a newspaper reporter. At the last minute, he is able to destroy the shipment as the police arrive to round up the Communists. Series Premise:
Suspense is an American television anthology series that ran on CBS Television from 1949 to 1954. It was adapted from the radio program of the same name which ran from 1942 to 1962. Like many early television programs, the show was broadcast live from New York City. It was sponsored by the Auto-Lite corporation, and each episode was introduced by host Rex Marshall, who promoted Auto-Lite spark plugs, car batteries, headlights, and other car parts.
Some of the early scripts were adapted from Suspense radio scripts, while others were original for television. Like the radio program, many scripts were adaptations of literary classics by well-known authors. Classic authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, Agatha Christie, and Charles Dickens all had stories adapted for the series, while contemporary authors such as Roald Dahl and Gore Vidal also contributed.

Synopsis: Mark, Michelle, Shelley and Clem are off to Amsterdam. Clem starts chatting up Michelle on the plane, says how she's a lot more than one would think at first, the kid, divorced etc..... He says "Does he ever want to see Vicki?" She says "Oh he wasn't Vicki's dad." Clem is even more "wow you're so deep.." I can't remember exactly what.
Meanwhile, Mark and Shelley were in the loos and had a quick snog, almost caught by Michelle as she comes along.
They arrive, go to the hotel, then to a hash bar. They all get a bit stoned. (Except possibly Michelle who doesn't smoke so coughs a lot!) Shelley and Michelle went to get orange juice and Shelley said Clem fancies you, do you like him. Michelle says no, and I wouldn't be much of a friend if I made a play for him, would I? Shelley says errrr no, ((disappointed!))
Separately, Mark goes to the loo and is caught by Clem buying condoms.. Clem says "You think it'll be your lucky night do you?" (He doesn't mean Shelley) Mark says "Maybe."
Mark and Shelley kept on engineering situations to be alone together. Mark bought Shelley a windmill and some kid grabbed it as he went by. They ran after him, lost Clem and Michelle and went back to the hotel (eventually).
They wander a bit, in general Mark has said a few times, when Shelley says, "Should we be doing this" oh yes, life's too short, I don't care if Clem does see, do you etc. So.. back at the hotel, they kiss etc., and started undressing.
Cut back to Clem and Michelle: She phones the hotel to see if they are back.. they don't answer, lie down on the bed; Michelle hangs up, tells Clem, who then starts the most incredible lines, like "You're a dark horse, there's so much more to you... blah blah, I realise when I got friendly with you two it was you really, you're just everything that Shelley isn't, etc. etc...." (yawn!)
Anyway, back with Shelley & Mark (!) Mark now out walking the street, Shelley says "What's wrong, why??! One minute we were kissing, next you get up and go... etc." Mark keeps on putting her off, she cries and says stop playing games, he says we can only ever be friends, she says is this about Gill, and she just keeps on eventually says, its not your fault she had cancer, Mark says "She didn't have cancer, she died of AIDS."

This was when a young Chet Atkins was a member of the Georgia Clodhoppers.I don't have the recording date for this but it should be about June ? 1946.He probably doesn't sound much like the Chet we all remember,he was still flat picking at this early stage.
Wally Fowler went on to a do mostly Gospel music,wrote some good songs and was pretty fine singer.I did cut 2 songs out because I am limited to 15 minutes on my videos.

This was when a young Chet Atkins was a member of the Georgia Clodhoppers.I don't have the recording date for this but it should be about June ? 1946.He probably doesn't sound much like the Chet we all remember,he was still flat picking at this early stage. Wally Fowler went on to a do mostly Gospel music,wrote some good songs and was pretty fine singer.I did cut 2 songs out because I am limited to 15 minutes on my videos.

Meanwhile, Mark and Shelley were in the loos and had a quick snog, almost caught by Michelle as she comes along.
They arrive, go to the hotel, then to a hash bar. They all get a bit stoned. (Except possibly Michelle who doesn't smoke so coughs a lot!) Shelley and Michelle went to get orange juice and Shelley said Clem fancies you, do you like him. Michelle says no, and I wouldn't be much of a friend if I made a play for him, would I? Shelley says errrr no, ((disappointed!))
Separately, Mark goes to the loo and is caught by Clem buying condoms.. Clem says "You think it'll be your lucky night do you?" (He doesn't mean Shelley) Mark says "Maybe."
Mark and Shelley kept on engineering situations to be alone together. Mark bought Shelley a windmill and some kid grabbed it as he went by. They ran after him, lost Clem and Michelle and went back to the hotel (eventually).
They wander a bit, in general Mark has said a few times, when Shelley says, "Should we be doing this" oh yes, life's too short, I don't care if Clem does see, do you etc. So.. back at the hotel, they kiss etc., and started undressing.
Cut back to Clem and Michelle: She phones the hotel to see if they are back.. they don't answer, lie down on the bed; Michelle hangs up, tells Clem, who then starts the most incredible lines, like "You're a dark horse, there's so much more to you... blah blah, I realise when I got friendly with you two it was you really, you're just everything that Shelley isn't, etc. etc...." (yawn!)
Anyway, back with Shelley & Mark (!) Mark now out walking the street, Shelley says "What's wrong, why??! One minute we were kissing, next you get up and go... etc." Mark keeps on putting her off, she cries and says stop playing games, he says we can only ever be friends, she says is this about Gill, and she just keeps on eventually says, its not your fault she had cancer, Mark says "She didn't have cancer, she died of AIDS."

Where Javi might cling to hope, Clem doesn’t have that luxury ... Special shout outs to Melissa Hutchison for making Clem feel both incredibly hardened while simultaneously showing stark vulnerability when her guard drops. The interactions between Javi and Clem provides some of the best moments in first two episodes....
