The Actors Fund’s Looking Ahead program was created in 2003 in partnership with SAG-AFTRA to work with youth between the ages of 9 and 18, helping them develop the values, skills and confidence they need to make successful transitions to fulfilling adult lives. Now serving more than 300 youths per year, their families and alumni, the program aims to create a nurturing environment where young performers get support through individual, family and education counseling, leadership development, community service and social events. The Actors Fund's inaugural fundraiser for the Looking Ahead program, the Looking Ahead Awards, was launched on December 4, 2014 and honorees included Margaret O'Brien receiving the Shirley Temple Award, Tia and Tamera Mowry receiving the Education Award, Max Burkholder receiving the Social Awareness Award and Hilary Swank presenting to her mother, Judy Swank, with the Looking Ahead Parenting Award. Hailee Steinfeld presented a special, surprise award for community service to Looking Ahead Advisory Committee Co-Chairs Fred Savage and Sharon Lieblein. Stars of stage, screen and television came out to celebrate Broadway’s Biggest Night at The Actors Fund’s 19th Annual Tony Awards® Viewing Party, held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles on June 7, 2015.
This year’s spectacular gala was hosted by Daytime Emmy Award winner and three-time Tony Award® nominee Kate Burton, and presentations of the Artistic Achievement Award to four legendary leading men of Broadway - Theodore Bikel, Tim Curry, Alfred Molina and Joe Morton.
The evening’s program featured red carpet arrivals, cocktails, silent auction, dinner, surprise guest performances and the live telecast of the Tony Awards®. The event was presented by Wells Fargo and sponsored by United Airlines, SAG-AFTRA, Actors’ Equity Association, Writers Guild of America West, DIRECTV, Screen Engine, The Nederlander Organization, CTBC Bank Corp, Masque Sound, Shaw & Halseth, Devotion Vodka and Sextant Wines.
The evening kicked off with a rocking performance of “The Time Warp” from “The Rocky Horror Show” featuring Sebastian La Cause (“Orange Is The New Black”), Renée Marino (“Jersey Boys”), Ashley Argota (“The Fosters”) and Western Council co-chair Ilene Graff. Honoree Tim Curry watched on in delight from his table nearby.
Miles Brown, the 10-year-old star of ABC’s “Blackish,” brought down the house with his rendition of “Sidewalk Tree” from the 1973 Broadway musical “Raisin,” which Joe Morton received his Tony nomination for.
Jennifer Shelton delivered a beautiful performance of “Far From The Home I Love” from “Fiddler On The Roof” to pay tribute to Alfred Molina.
Cheyenne Jackson took to the stage to honor dear friend Alfred Molina with his glorious take on the Elton John classic “Your Song.”
The Actors Fund was delighted to have Mireille Enos (ABC’s The Catch”), Calum Worthy (Disney Channel’s “Austin & Ally”) and Lee Meriwether make special presentations about the evening's silent auction items and fundraising efforts.
Among the other celebrities in attendance were Gabrielle Carteris, Kevin Chamberlin, Patrick Fabian, Davis Gaines, Anne Jeffreys, Kate Linder, Millicent Martin, Alan Mandell, Lee Meriwether, Charlotte Rae, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Alan Ruck, Sharon Stone, Nick Verreos, Bruce Vilanch and Lisa Ann Walter.

TBT in Song #13: Again from the Seth Rudetsky vault, here is the opening number from "Chess", starring Josh Grobin, Adam Pascal, Julia Murney, Sutton Foster, Norm Lewis and Raul Esparza. The Actor's Fund (an incredible organization) produced a concert series conceived and musically directed by Seth. The concerts were awesome and I did the first 5 in the series. So much fun.

Tim Curry
Timothy James "Tim" Curry (born 19 April 1946) is an English actor and singer, known for his work in a diverse range of theatre, film and television productions, often portraying villainous roles or character parts. Curry first rose to prominence with his portrayal of Dr Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, reprising the role he had originated in the 1973 London and 1974 Los Angeles stage productions of The Rocky Horror Show.
His other stage roles include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the 1980 Broadway production of Amadeus, The Pirate King in the 1982 West End production of The Pirates of Penzance, Alan Swann in the Broadway production of My Favourite Year and King Arthur in Broadway and West End productions of Spamalot from 2005 to 2007. Curry garnered further acclaim for his film and television roles; as Rooster in the 1982 film adaptation of Annie, as Darkness in the fantasy film Legend, as Wadsworth in the mystery comedy film Clue, as Pennywise in the horror miniseries It and as Nigel Thornberry on the animated television series The Wild Thornberrys.

This year’s spectacular gala was hosted by Daytime Emmy Award winner and three-time Tony Award® nominee Kate Burton, and presentations of the Artistic Achievement Award to four legendary leading men of Broadway - Theodore Bikel, Tim Curry, Alfred Molina and Joe Morton.
The evening’s program featured red carpet arrivals, cocktails, silent auction, dinner, surprise guest performances and the live telecast of the Tony Awards®. The event was presented by Wells Fargo and sponsored by United Airlines, SAG-AFTRA, Actors’ Equity Association, Writers Guild of America West, DIRECTV, Screen Engine, The Nederlander Organization, CTBC Bank Corp, Masque Sound, Shaw & Halseth, Devotion Vodka and Sextant Wines.
The evening kicked off with a rocking performance of “The Time Warp” from “The Rocky Horror Show” featuring Sebastian La Cause (“Orange Is The New Black”), Renée Marino (“Jersey Boys”), Ashley Argota (“The Fosters”) and Western Council co-chair Ilene Graff. Honoree Tim Curry watched on in delight from his table nearby.
Miles Brown, the 10-year-old star of ABC’s “Blackish,” brought down the house with his rendition of “Sidewalk Tree” from the 1973 Broadway musical “Raisin,” which Joe Morton received his Tony nomination for.
Jennifer Shelton delivered a beautiful performance of “Far From The Home I Love” from “Fiddler On The Roof” to pay tribute to Alfred Molina.
Cheyenne Jackson took to the stage to honor dear friend Alfred Molina with his glorious take on the Elton John classic “Your Song.”
The Actors Fund was delighted to have Mireille Enos (ABC’s The Catch”), Calum Worthy (Disney Channel’s “Austin & Ally”) and Lee Meriwether make special presentations about the evening's silent auction items and fundraising efforts.
Among the other celebrities in attendance were Gabrielle Carteris, Kevin Chamberlin, Patrick Fabian, Davis Gaines, Anne Jeffreys, Kate Linder, Millicent Martin, Alan Mandell, Lee Meriwether, Charlotte Rae, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Alan Ruck, Sharon Stone, Nick Verreos, Bruce Vilanch and Lisa Ann Walter.

The event was hosted by Daytime Emmy Award winner and three-time Tony Award nominee Kate Burton,
Honored
Tim Curry received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event. Curry suffered a stroke in July 2012 and is wheelchair bound but spoke with press before the event, don’t miss our inspirational interview with him.
Also honored were some of Tony’s Leading Men with the Artistic Achievement Award to Broadway legends Theodore Bikel, Alfred Molina and Joe Morton.
