James Hull is a British dentist and entrepreneur, who owned one of the UK's biggest private car collections.
Hull opened his first dental practice in 1987 in Gwent, Wales. James Hull Associates presently has over 50 dental practices in the UK, which mainly specialise in cosmetic dentistry. After private equity firm Hutton Collins bought a 40% stake in the business in 2006, valuing it at about £90m, Hull and two fellow directors stepped down from the business's board in 2008 after the group made a loss of £8.7M. Irish businessman Emmet O Neill's Smiles dentistry group bought JHA in late 2012.
Hull, who lives in Knightsbridge, west London, has battled cancer three times. He enjoys playing cricket and tennis.
In May 2014, Hull emerged as the owner of one of the UK's biggest private car collections, by putting the entire collection up for sale for £100M. The collection of 543 classic cars, ranging from multi-million pound Jaguars including a XKSS through to a Morris Minor, also includes: Lord Mountbatten's Mini Traveller; Winston Churchill's Austin; Mike Hailwood's 1961 Jaguar E-Type; and a Bentley formerly owned by Elton John. The price also includes 365 pedal cars and 300 pieces of memorabilia, including model aircraft from WW1 and WW2.In July 2014 his collection was sold to Jaguar Land Rover for an undisclosed sum. Sixteen of the cars were put on show at Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire from November 2014.
In local government, a city hall, town hall, civic centre, (in the UK or Australia) a guildhall, a Rathaus (German), or (more rarely) a municipal building, is the chief administrative building of a city, town, or other municipality. It usually houses the city or town council, its associated departments, and their employees. It also usually functions as the base of the mayor of a city, town, borough, or county / shire.
By convention, until the mid 19th-century, a single large open chamber (or 'hall') formed an integral part of the building housing the council. The hall may be used for council meetings and other significant events. This large chamber, the 'town hall', (and its later variant 'city hall') has become synonymous with the whole building, and with the administrative body housed in it. The terms 'council chambers', 'municipal building' or variants may be used locally in preference to 'town hall' if no such large hall is present within the building.
The local government may endeavor to use the town hall building to promote and enhance the quality of life of the community. In many cases, "'town halls' serve not only as buildings for government functions, but also have facilities for various civic and cultural activities. These may include art shows, stage performances, exhibits and festivals. Modern town halls or "civic centres" are often designed with a great variety and flexibility of purpose in mind.

The club participates in The Championship – the second tier of English football – and their greatest achievement in cup competitions came in 2014, when the team reached the final of the FA Cup. Their highest league finish was for the 2013–14 season, in which they finished 16th in the Premier League table.
Hull City play their home games at KC Stadium. They previously played at Boothferry Park and moved to their current home in 2002. Boothferry Park has been demolished and has been replaced by a housing development. They traditionally play in black and amber, often with a striped shirt design, hence their nickname The Tigers. The club's mascots are Roary the Tiger and his sister Amber.
Hull City Hall is a civic building located in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The City Hall does not perform an administrative function for Hull's council, as this is based in the Guildhall.
It is a Grade II* listed building, built in Baroque Revival style by Hull's City architect Joseph Hirst 1903–09, restored c.1950 following war damage, and altered in 1986 and 1989.
Located in Queen Victoria Square in the city centre, Hull City Hall is home to a grand central hall which plays host to a varied programme of concerts including pop, rock and classical music as well as civic functions such as graduation ceremonies for the University of Hull. The city's main Tourist Information office and shop is based on the building's ground floor.

2012 CFI Okanagan Darwin Day presentation. Darwin, Nature, and God Dr James Hull, Associate Professor, UBC Okanagan This talk presents an introduction to the publication of Darwin's The Origin of Species as it would have been understood by his Victorian contemporaries. What was Darwin trying to do and why did he make his case the way he did? How did the people of the time react to it and why? Was Darwin challenging God, the Church or religion? How valid is the view of Darwin as a symbol of scientific and secular challenge to a Biblical understanding of nature? The brightness was a little difficult to get right, the screen appears a little washed out, otherwise the rest would have been too dark to see. I also noticed that the zoom had re-set before the recording started, so a little...

Conway's Law states that 'organizations which design systems ... are constrained to produce designs which are copies of the communication structures of these organizations' - e.g. highly distributed development teams will produce a distributed application architecture. ""First we shape our tools, then our tools shape us"". In the context of software development, do we reflect enough on the way our environment, tools, languages etc determine how we view the world and attempt to problem solve? What can awareness of these sociological aspects of software do to help our work, and what are the implications for business, politics and the economy?

Verse 1:
They say that men came from afar
to see what lies under the star,
I wonder if this could be,
someone like Him would die for me?
Chorus:
Oh, what a price to pay,
what a wonderful, what a wonderful way,
happy are we that believe.
Verse 1
Chorus
Verse 2:
They say that Holy is He
and from this day men would free.
So in your heart let Him abide,
that's the reason why He came to die.
Chorus
Bridge:
I sing because I am happy,
happy 'cause I believe.
I sing because I am happy,
happy 'cause I believe.
I sing because I am happy,
happy 'cause I believe.
I sing because I am happy,
happy 'cause I believe.
I am...
Vamp 1:
All: Happy.
Sopranos: I am, I am...
All: happy.
Sopranos: Oh, I am, I am...
Vamp 2:
All: Happy.
