Vietnam's Next Top Model

Vietnam’s Next Top Model (Người mẫu Việt Nam, or VNTM) is a Vietnamese reality television show in which female contestants compete for the title of "Vietnam's Next Top Model." Contestants are given the opportunity to begin a career in the modeling industry, and the winner receives a cash prize and a feature article in a fashion magazine.

Background

The competition follows a group of women from 18 to 25 years old. They live in a house for several months and compete in challenges, such as posing for photographs. Many episodes feature contestants meeting well-known figures in the modeling industry. In each episode one contestant is eliminated, although multiple eliminations occasionally occur by consensus of the judges' panel. The winner will be crowned "Vietnam's Next Top Model", receiving a modeling contract and other prizes.

Format

Judging

The first cycle was overseen by two panels of judges. The first included model Nathan Lee, who was scheduled to host the season with international model Elizabeth Thủy Tiên and fashion designer Hoàng Ngân. They were replaced by Hà Anh, Huy Võ and Đức Hải immediately after they were cast.

Vietnam's Next Top Model (cycle 6)

Vietnam's Next Top Model, Cycle 6 is the sixth season of Vietnam's Next Top Model. It premiered on August 2, 2015 at VTV. For the third time, males were still featured as part of the show. This year, former host Phạm Thị Thanh Hằng, who hosted Cycle 4 (the first guys-and-girls season of the show), returned to fulfill her position as head judge of the panel. Samuel Hoàng reprised his role as a judge after Cycle 5 concluded. Designer Adrian Anh Tuấn was also introduced as a new judge. This season's theme is: Keep Moving - Không Ngừng Chuyển Động.

The winner was 20-year-old Nguyễn Thị Hương Ly from Gia Lai.

Vietnam's Next Top Model (cycle 4)

Vietnam's Next Top Model, Cycle 4 is the fourth season of Vietnam's Next Top Model. It was broadcast on VTV in 2013, featuring 20 finalists including 10 male and 10 female contestants. This special of season 4 is all contestants to be chosen that were from 16 to 19 years old and had height more than 1.60 m.

This is the first year the show includes male contestants in addition to female contestants in previous years. The change was made after the 20th season of America’s Next Top Model, which opened to male models.

When its audition round kicked off in August, the show attracted 1,200 participants, the highest number of applicants so far. Fashion designer Do Manh Cuong and makeup specialist Nam Trung, previous season’s judges, stayed on the jury this year. The board welcomed two new judges, supermodel Thanh Hang, and famed Australian catwalk coach Adam Williams.

The winner received a prize of up to VND2 billion (US$95,080). The top candidates had chances to get trained in Paris. The season premiered on October 6, 2013 at 8pm every Sunday on VTV3.

Top Model

Top Model or Next Top Model is a fashion-themed reality television show format produced in many countries throughout the world and seen in over 120 countries producing over 200 seasons (referred to as "cycles"). The show takes the form of a modeling competition whose winners typically receive a contract with a major modeling agency and a cover shoot and fashion photo spread in a fashion magazine. The format was created by Tyra Banks for the original series, America's Next Top Model which was first aired in 2003, produced by Ken Mok's 10 by 10 Entertainment.

Format description

The following description of the show is based primarily on the American version of the series, though the format applies to the international versions as well.

Contestants

Each cycle of the show consists of 8–40 episodes and begins with 9–25 contestants. In each episode one contestant is eliminated, though in some cases there may be double eliminations, multiple eliminations, or no elimination at all, based on the consensus of the judging panel. Makeovers are administered to contestants early in the cycle, usually after the first or second elimination.

Top Model (Sweden cycle 4)

Top Model STHLM aired from September 12, 2007. It was the fourth cycle of Sweden's Next Top Model. It is also the first individual cycle of the show. It was hosted by Vendela Kirsebom, who was hosting Norway's Next Top Model at the same time. It was the first individual series of Top Model for Sweden. It was based in Stockholm. The winner was Hawa Ahmed. The runner-up, Margarita Maiseyenka, was deported from Sweden back to Belarus after the show aired.

Top Model (Poland)

Top Model (formerly Top Model. Zostań modelką (English: Top Model. Become a Model)) is a Polish reality television show based on Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model. The show sees a number of aspiring models compete against each other in a variety of competitions to win the title of the next Top Model of Poland, along with a lucrative modeling contract with NEXT Model Management, an appearance on the cover of Polish Glamour magazine and a nationwide Max Factor campaign in hopes of a successful career in the modeling business.

The competition is hosted by Polish American supermodel Joanna Krupa, who serves as the lead judge. The other members of the judging panel are fashion designer Dawid Woliński, runway coach Kasia Sokołowska and photographer Marcin Tyszka. Supermodel Anja Rubik has made several guest appearances throughout the show's run.

Challenges

Challenges generally focus on elements important to modeling which will help the contestants improve for the week's photo shoot. A guest judge evaluates the contestants and decides the winner of each challenge. The winner of the challenge receives a prize for their victory. Sometimes the challenge winner is permitted to choose a certain number of other contestants to receive a similar, but lesser reward, while the others are given nothing. Winners of a particular challenge are sometimes also granted immunity from elimination for the week.

Next Top Model (Romania cycle 2)

Next Top Model, Cycle 2 is the second cycle of Next Top Model. It premiered on September 15, 2011; only half a year after the first season.

The competition was again hosted by Romanian fashion designer Cătălin Botezatu. He was joined at the panel once again by make-up artist Mirela Vascan, hair stylist Laurent Tourette and model agent Liviu Ionescu. Photographer Gabriel Hennessey, who shot most of the pictures from Cycle 1, did not return this time. The winner of the competition, was 14-year-old Laura Giurcanu from Bucharest, Romania

The judges welcome aspiring models to castings held all over Romania. The final fifteen are selected, and a surprise contestant (Sandra) is re-introduced to the competition despite not having made the final cut.

Episode 2

First aired September 22, 2011

The models receive their makeovers. Gina and Laura throw a fit when they become displeased with their new looks. Later, the girls receive training on all things top model. This includes walking on an extremely narrow platform where the contestants must practice balance for the upcoming runway challenge.
