Rzeszów County (Polish: powiat rzeszowski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Subcarpathian Voivodeship, south-eastern Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Rzeszów, although the city is not part of the county (it constitutes a separate city county). The county contains six towns: Dynów, 28 km (17 mi) south-east of Rzeszów, Boguchwała, 8 km (5 mi) south-west of Rzeszów, Głogów Małopolski, 16 km (10 mi) north of Rzeszów, Sokołów Małopolski, 24 km (15 mi) north of Rzeszów, Tyczyn, 8 km (5 mi) south of Rzeszów, and Błażowa, 17 km (11 mi) south-east of Rzeszów.
The county covers an area of 1,218.8 square kilometres (470.6 sq mi). As of 2006 its total population is 169,586, out of which the population of Dynów is 6,076, that of Boguchwała is 5,535, that of Głogów Małopolski is 5,123, that of Sokołów Małopolski is 3,991, that of Tyczyn is 3,299, that of Błażowa is 2,110, and the rural population is 148,987.
The Renault Clio is a supermini car, produced by the French automobile manufacturer Renault. It was launched in 1990, and was in its fourth generation in 2012. The Clio has had substantial critical and commercial success, being consistently one of Europe's top-selling cars since its launch, and it is largely credited with restoring Renault's reputation and stature after a difficult second half of the 1980s. The Clio is one of only two cars, the other being the Volkswagen Golf, to have been voted European Car of the Year twice, in 1991 and 2006.
The Clio is sold as the Renault Lutecia (ルノー ルーテシア, Runō Rūteshia) in Japan because Honda retains the rights to the name Clio after establishing the Honda Clio sales channel in 1984. Lutecia is derived from the word "Lutetia", a former Roman city that is now known as Paris.
The Clio was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in June 1990 and sales in France and the rest of the continent began then, although sales in Britain did not begin until March 1991. The Clio largely replaced the aging Renault 5 Mk2 (which continued to be built in lower volumes until 1996 in Slovenia as a budget alternative). The Clio's suspension and floorpan was largely the same as the 5, which in turn was the same as the all-new 9 saloon of 1981 and 11 hatchback of 1983. Half-width torsion bars (full-width on higher spec models) with trailing arms at the rear, and coil sprung MacPherson struts, attached to a thick pressed steel subframe at the front. The engine range available at launch included 1.2 L and 1.4 L E-type "Energy" petrol inline-four engines (first seen in the R19) and 1.7 L and 1.9 L diesel (both based on the F-type unit) engines. The petrol engines gradually had their carburettors replaced with electronic fuel injection systems by the end of 1992, in order to conform to ever stricter pollutant emission regulations.

In “A Cross Canada Canoe Odyssey” join four women, two men, and three canoes as they canoe from the Pacific Ocean, across Canada, to the Atlantic Ocean. The film follows crew members through laughter, illness, frustration, and perseverance as they paddle and portage 7,600 kilometers beneath mountain peaks, across the Great Plains, and through vast expanses of boreal forest. Website: http://cancanoeodyssey.yikesite.com/ The trip begins in Vancouver at the mouth of the Fraser River. Through British Columbia’s mountain ranges the crew paddled along mountain lakes and cycled, hiked, and snowshoed through mountain passes with canoes overhead or in tow. The expedition crossed the Rocky Mountain continental divide via the historic Howse Pass. Once over the divide the crew descended into the ...

“If it is love that binds people to places in this nation of rivers and in this river of nations then one enduring expression of that simple truth, is surely the canoe.” - James Raffan, adventurer, acclaimed author and Director Emeritus of the Canadian Canoe Museum. Is there anything more Canadian than paddling? ‘Ontario’ is an Iroquoian word meaning ‘land of shining waters’. With over 400,000 lakes, countless rivers and heritage waterways in Ontario, we are connected by and to water and the Canoe is a symbol of that relationship. Discover the different ways Ontarians have connected to our natural environment, each other and themselves through paddling. This film captures the human connection and bond created by Canada’s well-known craft & symbol, the canoe. Through the stories of five p...

A legacy from the 2008 Centennial celebration of the Tent Dwellers... Eight teens from Annapolis County and their two adult guides set out in August 2011, from the Legendary Milford House on a 7-day canoe expedition through Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site for the Tobeatic Wilderness. Since 2008, Annapolis County Recreation Services has been sharing the outdoors with teens through their Tent Dwellers Canoe Adventure program. Inspired by Albert Bigelow Paine's The Tent Dwellers, the youth spend a week canoeing and camping taking with them all the food and supplies they need. Published over 100 years ago, The Tent Dwellers tells the story of a two-week canoe and trout fishing journey dreamed up by Paine's friend Eddie Breck and led by two Nova Scotia wilderness gu...
Eric Young President, E.Y.E. | The Social Projects Studio Eric (Ric) Young was a pioneer in the field of social marketing. He cut his teeth on the early stages of the PARTICIPaction campaign, and was co-founder of Canada's first dedicated social marketing agency. He left that company in the mid-90s to start E.Y.E. The Social Projects Studio -- a company dedicated to the creation and development of breakthrough social change initiatives. Working with leading government, corporate and not-for-profit clients, he became increasingly frustrated by the inadequacy of the tools, models and methods society has at hand for tackling our most complex problems. This led him, in the year 2000, to propose to DuPont Canada that they embark on an initiative "to foster new mindsets, new skill sets, and a n...

He visits the preserved eighteen metre tocher, a section of the massive wooden roadway built across the bog in the year 148 BC. Noel Carberry shows Dick the fascinating bog vegetation surrounding the centre including some carnivorous pitcher plants whose prey-trapping mechanism features a deep cavity filled with ...
