XXXX rolled: Kimberley police crush slabs of confiscated beer

Western Australian police officers have taken a crushing approach to destroying alcohol seized from designated dry communities in the state's North.

Vision on the Kimberley District - WA Police Facebook page shows 11 slabs of beer lined up on the ground moments before a bulldozer runs over and smashes the booze, sending it spilling onto the ground.

Kimberley Police crush slabs of confiscated beer, following on from when WA police ran over a line of Emu Export cans.

It's a step up from the stunt Kimberley police did in April, running over a line of around 30 Emu Export cans in their 4WD.

"Alcohol is the largest single contributing factor to anti-social behaviour and other crimes in the area," the post said.

"Police and local agencies work together to help make the communities safer places.

"Under the Liquor Control Act, police have powers to destroy the seized alcohol – with crushing the most common and most efficient method of destroying large quantities."
