165 exam results may be out in a week, says Mumbai University vice-chancellor

TNN |
MUMBAI: The Mumbai University is likely to declare the results of 165 exams in a week, vice-chancellor Sanjay Deshmukh assured a protesting students' organization on Tuesday.

Yuva Sena, the students' body of Shiv Sena, protested against the university's delay in declaring results in time, not holding admissions to the Institute of Distance and Open Learning, anomalies in the exam house among other issues.

Former senate member Pradeep Sawant said, "The VC has assured us that results of all the pending 165 exams will be declared in a week. He also promised to set right the goings-on in the exam house by October." Admission for various distance education programmes are likely to start by the month-end. Deshmukh also promised to meet all students' bodies on August 2.
