Hollywood star Will Smith is set to attend a special red-carpet screening of his upcoming DC Comics superhero movie, Suicide Squad, in Dubai.
His appearance on August 7 will be part of the celebrations marking the opening the new Virgin Radio Vox Max Cinema at Deira City Centre. The 408-square-metre screen will be the largest in the Mena region, in a theatre that seats 550 people, and features the latest Christie laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound.
Fans in the UAE and Oman, who buy a large Pepsi combo from the Candy Bar at a Vox Cinemas between now and August 4, will be entered into a draw to win tickets for the exclusive, red-carpet event.
Cinemagoers in the UAE and Lebanon, who buy an advance ticket online for Suicide Squad by August 4, also have the chance to win a meet-and-greet session with Smith.

Hollywood stars, including Liam Neeson, promoting Taken 3, and Jeff Goldblum and Liam Hemsworth, promoting Independence Day: Resurgence, are among the A-list stars who recently visited Dubai to promote their films.
Suicide Squad is the first ensemble movie in the growing DC Cinematic Universe. The story of a group of supervillains who are recruited by a secret government agency to undertake highly dangerous missions, it stars Smith as sharpshooter Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. Ben Affleck will also make an appearance as Batman.
The film opens in cinemas on August 4.
