US Navy The Zumwalt-class destroyers are a class of United States Navy destroyers designed as multi-mission ships with a focus on land attack. The class is a scaled-back project that emerged after funding cuts to the larger DD-21 vessel program. The program was previously known as the "DD(X)". The class is multi-role and designed for surface warfare, anti-aircraft, and naval fire support. They take the place of battleships in filling the former congressional mandate for naval fire support,[8] though the requirement was reduced to allow them to fill this role. The vessels' appearance has been compared to that of the historic ironclad warship.[9] The class has a low radar profile; an integrated power system, which can send electricity to the electric drive motors or weapons, which may somed...

The House Committee lead by U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) delivered a subpoena to FBI acting assistant director for congressional affairs Jason Herring. The subpoena covered the entire FBI investigative file, not just the documents the bureau has already provided. Chaffetz and other Republicans on the panel said the bureau has withheld summaries of interviews with witnesses and unnecessarily blacked out material from documents sent last month. They are growing frustrated with the "stonewalling" they are getting from both the FBI and key witnesses in the case. "We decide what's relevant—not the Department of Justice, not the FBI," Chaffetz said. "We are entitled to the full file." Herring and six other Obama administration officials appeared before the committee to answer congression...

She gave weak support to American President Jimmy Carter who tried to punish the USSR with economic sanctions. Britain's economic situation was precarious, and most of NATO was reluctant to cut trade ties. Thatcher became closely aligned with the Cold War policies of United States President Ronald Reagan, based on their shared distrust of Communism,[107] alt...
