"Good Day" is a song released and performed by the British rock band, The Kinks. The song, written by Ray Davies, appeared on the band's album, Word of Mouth.
During the sessions for "Good Day," a drum machine was used instead of drummer Mick Avory, due to the conflicts between Avory and Dave Davies. Ray Davies said of this:
"Good Day" was first released as a single in Britain (as well as Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden) in August 1984, backed with "Too Hot" (both songs would appear on Word of Mouth.) A maxi-single, with "Don't Forget to Dance" added to the two tracks already on the 7 inch single, was also released in the UK. "Good Day", however, was unsuccessful, as it did not chart in any country. In November of that year, "Good Day" appeared as the third track on the first side of The Kinks' album, Word of Mouth. Word of Mouth was a modest success in America (hitting #57), but the album did not achieve the Top 20 success that its predecessors State of Confusion, Give the People What They Want, and Low Budget had.
"Good Day" is a song by the American recording artist Jewel. It was released as the second single from her sixth studio album, Goodbye Alice in Wonderland. The song was written by Jewel, Kara DioGuardi and co-written and produced by Greg Wells.
"Good Day" is a midtempo soft ballad, written by Kilcher, Kara DioGuardi and Greg Wells and produced by Wells. The song opens with her standing in front of her fridge at midnight, drawling: "I might make a wish – if I believed in that shit."
Caroline Sullivan from The Guardian wrote that in the song "some of Jewel's twittery soul-searching has been replaced by healthy cynicism." Catie James from Blogcritics wrote that the track has "a playful, no nonsense attitude".
The video for the song is another allusion to the film The Wizard of Oz (In Goodbye Alice in Wonderland, Jewel mentions the "Goodbye yellow brick road"). The inside of the house is black and white, and outside is colorful. The pathway is made of yellow bricks. Similar to the story, the world outside of the house is originally a much nicer place, but slowly becomes less dreamlike and more cruel.

Back to Tennessee is the eleventh studio album released from country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus. The album was released on April 7, 2009, on Lyric Street Records. It is also the follow-up album to 2007s Home at Last. Originally planned to be released in July 2008, the album was pushed to new release dates five times. "Somebody Said a Prayer" was released as the album's lead-off single, and was a top 40 hit on the country charts in late 2008. The title track and "A Good Day" followed it as the second and third singles, reaching number 47 and number #59, respectively. Also on the album is "Butterfly Fly Away", a duet with daughter Miley Cyrus. The song is also on the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack. Cyrus and Lyric Street Records parted ways shortly after the chart debut of "A Good Day".
"Somebody Said a Prayer", the title-track and "A Good Day" have been released from Back to Tennessee. Additionally, "Butterfly Fly Away" (a duet with daughter Miley Cyrus), was released as a promotional single for Hannah Montana: The Movie.
The Sugababes were an English pop girl group, formed in 1998 with founding members Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan. Their debut album, One Touch, was released in the UK through London Records on 27 November 2000. The album achieved moderate success, peaking at number 26 in April 2001 and eventually being certified Gold. In 2001, Donaghy departed the group amid rumours of a rift with Buchanan and the group were dropped by their record label. With the introduction of Heidi Range, the group began to experience a higher level of commercial success whilst keeping the critical acclaim they had achieved with their debut album. They released three studio albums before Buena announced her departure in December 2005, leading to Amelle Berrabah being brought in to replace her. Following the release of their first greatest hits album, the new line-up released two studio albums. In September 2009, after 11 years in the Sugababes, Buchanan, the final original member, was replaced by former UK Eurovision entry Jade Ewen. Range, Berrabah and Ewen released the group's seventh studio album, Sweet 7, in 2010, after which they signed to RCA Records, before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2011. In 2013, Ewen confessed that the Sugababes had split two years earlier. The original line-up of the band reformed in 2011, under the new name Mutya Keisha Siobhan.
Summum bonum is a Latin expression meaning "the highest good", which was introduced by Cicero, to correspond to the Idea of the Good in ancient Greek philosophy. The summum bonum is generally thought of as being an end in itself, and at the same time containing all other goods. The term was used in medieval philosophy and in Kantianism, to describe the ultimate importance, the singular and overriding end which human beings ought to pursue. In the Thomist synthesis of Aristotelianism and Christianity, the highest good is usually defined as the life of the righteous and/or the life led in communion with God and according to God's precepts.
Plato's The Republic argued that, “In the world of knowledge the idea of good appears last of all, and is seen...to be the universal author of all things beautiful and right”. Silent contemplation was the route to appreciation of the Idea of the Good.
Aristotle in his Nichomachean Ethics accepted that the target of human activity, “Must be the 'Good', that is, the supreme good.”, but challenged Plato's Idea of the Good with the pragmatic question: “Will one who has had a vision of the Idea itself become thereby a better doctor or general?”. However, arguably at least, Aristotle's concept of the unmoved mover owed much to Plato's Idea of the Good.

Sugababes: You on a good day
Keisha: You messed up from your chromosomes to your enzymes
Remember the time when you took my ride
Amelle: I had to get it from the impound
My favorite revision and later when I asked you bout it you just said yeah
Heidi: But then at least you didn’t crash if you had some cash left from selling my rims on the car
Parked behind the bar
Chorus: And baby that’s you on a good day
And baby that’s you on a good day
Disaster is always just a beat away
But baby I’m sticking with you anyway
Heidi: You messed up like when I went to Tokyo for promotion and got back had a bill
For two G’s
Keisha: From when you fell asleep calling me overseas asking bout my goal for the
Cash machine and you just said yeah
Amelle: But you tried to keep the house key but then your new party friends went and called for
Some stripper and then I just said (fine)
Chorus(x2)
Keisha: I want it, I hate it, I need it
I want it, want it, want it
I hate it, I want it, I need it(x2)
Amelle: But you tried to keep the house key but then your new party friends went and called for
Some stripper and then I just said(you’re gonna make it up to me you know you are)
