Kittball is proud to present reworked versions of classic house hit ‘The Rub’ by Kurd Maverick featuring remixes from DJ Fronter and label owners Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora.
‘The Rub’ has seen much support from the upper echelons of electronic music, becoming Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ accolade back in 2006, not to mention support from the likes of Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Erick Morillo and Josh Wink.
Joining forces once again, Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora’s studio ventures have also previously earned ‘Essential New Tune’ from BBC’s Pete Tong when not topping Beatport’s overall chart to boot. Crunchy claps and cosmic echoes set the tone in Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora’s remix before erupting into an uncompromising groove comprised of distorted vocals and an infectious hook.

Muchos de los cantantes legendarios de la salsa han sido miembros en algún momento de la orquesta, por ello se le ha asignado el nombre de La Universidad de la Salsa, apodo que les dio el periodista colombiano Ley Martin. El Gran Combo fue fundado por Rafael Ithier en mayo de 1962. Ithier sigue siendo todavía el pianista de la orquesta y su director musical. El grupo nació como resultado de la ruptura de Rafael Cortijo y su Combo en 1962, agrupación de la que era parte Rafael Ithier. Para ese entonces algunos miembros del ya desintegrado grupo se reunieron para la grabación de una placa discográfica junto con el cantante dominicano Joseíto Mateo en uno de sus álbumes de su compañía disquera Gema Records, resultando en el lanzamiento de Meneame los Mangos. El grupo fue llamado El Gran Combo por el empresario Guillermo Álvarez guedes, quien fuera el arreglista musical en la producción del disco. Los miembros iniciales eran Rafael Ithier, Eddie Pérez, Héctor Santos, Rogelio "Kito" Vélez, Víctor Pérez, Martín Quiñones, Miguel Cruz, Milton Correa y Roberto Roena.
