Joe Budden becomes a meme after video emerges showing chase

Joe Budden is known for his rap disses ... but his running skills?

Lately the 35-year-old Jersey City rapper has been in headlines for his barbs dissing pop darling Drake

But on Sunday the internet received a meme-ready gift in the form of two videos (see below) of an encounter with Budden from what some supposed were Snapchat-wielding Drake fans.

The clips show what appear to be two fans (of music, perhaps, if not Budden), approaching the rapper sitting in his car in his Edgewater driveway. Budden looks none too happy to see them filming him with their phones and moves towards them as they ostensibly skedaddle.

"Yo, we're getting chased by Joe Budden," one of the fans says in another clip, filming Budden following them down the street in his car. "Follow me on Twitter," a voice can be heard, directing those watching the video to the Twitter account @redakidprodigy

Caution: videos contain explicit language.

Budden is then seen running the fans down with rocks in hand.

"This is not the internet," the rapper says, standing outside their car. "I will kill one of you."

"I'm sorry, I understand," one of the fans says. "I'm sorry."

Whatever the explanation for why these people were accosting Budden to begin with, both the ensuing chase and a photo of Budden running down the street fueled a Sunday night meme that made the rapper a worldwide trending topic on Twitter.

The lighthearted trade in photos and videos, more than one of which referenced the mobile sensation Pokemon Go, saw the rapper planted in scenes from "Mission Impossible," the video game Grand Theft Auto and a qualifying race for the Rio Olympics.

"These are some of the greatest memes ever, but I truly hope u kids don't make running up to ppl's homes a thing," Budden later tweeted. "It's dangerous."
